RE: A Battle Unseen - SolentiaAhmadi - 04-01-2025

February 5594, Čahtica, the Deltarian capital.

Hazgul sat impatiently in the corridor of the drab grey building he was in. He had waited four weeks for this meeting since arriving in Deltaria. For a Solentian he was reasonably well travelled having been to Kafuristan, Al-Badara, even to Istalia before the war. But Deltaria was different. A difficult language, a different people, grey architecture, he hated his cheap suit and the local restaurants he had been to all seemed to serve pork as the only meat. He had been forced to become a vegetarian. Still, it wasn't all bad, he had liked that blonde waitress. She had been most welcoming and enjoyable.

Finally the door opened and he was told to come in. Hazgul went to greet the occupant of the room, but was hastily ushered to sit down.

"For the record this meeting will not be minuted, you are to take no notes".

Hazgul got the gist of the instruction, but regretted that his Deltarian wasn't as good as he thought. Did this man have an Alazindian accent, or was it Tokundian, he could never tell. "Yes" was all he could mutter in response.

"So Solentia. It appears our neighbours have got themselves bogged down in a fight they weren't expecting."

"Yes", Hazgul become monosyllabic.

The man at the other end of the desk closed his eyes, as if in deep contemplation. "Well, that means there is money to be made and a distracted Kalopia can only be to our benefit".

Hazgul didn't really grasp the sentence, but he knew he was here to buy weapons. "We need weapons".

Before Hazgul could go into any furtehr detail the man opened his eyes again and looked directly at Hazgul. "You have no air force and no navy, the Kalopians are free to bomb you from the air, and their ships can blockade your ports at will. You want man portable anti-air weapon systems and you want anti-shipping missiles. Unfortunately they are not man-portable, but you could probably stick them on the back on a half dozen donkeys."

Hazgul reverted to his single word answer "Yes". He hated how the world seemed to view Solentians as peasants dependent upon farm animals. Hazgul was very proud of the two cars he owned back at home.

"Very well. For the right money, we have weapon systems to offer. So I suppose the question is, do you have the money?".

Hazgul knew the Ministry of Finance was looking to levy increased taxation back home in Solentia to fund more advanced weaponry. He looked the man straight in the eyes. "Yes".

Comrade Sládek,

Quote:Our eternal struggle for a greater Kundrati is now a step closer, Industrial District Lirnak thanks to your genius and our will to triumph against all odds, is now finished. The facility itself boasts a population of 185,000 workers who toil day and night for the glory of the Legion.

Thanks to Xsampese & Likatonian help the project was streamlined to be even more efficient than our 115% originally planned, the dregs of the earth toil away to their deaths 18 hours a day under the 24/7 watchful gazes of our commissars who ensure not a trace of dissent may surface. IDL now possesses functioning steel mills, iron ore processing, direct lines with local mines for aggregate ore, cremation facilities, all of which connect to a massive super factory that needs approximately 80,000 workers daily for full effect. The facility, manned and overseen by our best and brightest managers of the acquired KDC have retrofitted it to be able to produce all our known weapons blueprints in the equifund. Tanks, vehicles, small arms, rockets, all are now ready to be rolled out for the glory of the fatherland, fueled by the blood of the enemy.

As we speak, your first original command for greater air and ground vehicles is currently underway, that being 150 different jet aircraft and 200 Altyn-II's. Thanks to your exhaustive efforts to circumvent the sanctions and embargos, we are able to sufficiently purvey the materials needed that we sometimes lack such as silicon and refined metals. Furthermore, the funds that would otherwise be needed to pay the gargantuan work-force are reused for the costs of production. The five year plan is well under-way as we continue to overachieve all set goals, the people look to your immortal guidance comrade, all glory to the Legion!

Sincerely yours,
Internal Industrial Commissar-General, Karneades Arbolategui

[October 20th 5596, Kaesama]

Quote:The dark presidential office was lit by only a few small lamps, behind Sládek and his mahogany table a giant window showing the sprawling concrete city of Kasaema. Pouring over reports, the situation wasn't great. Likatonia once Kundratis trade ally had backed out of its deal because an opposing party took power, one of the many flaws of "democracy" he thought to himself. Thankfully Kundrati was not hindered by such infantile ideologies, they had God and the iron fist of decisive authority. He flipped the page and began reading the results of the 5 year plan.

IDL Interior, Steel Mill Sector

[Agricultural Report 1-B]
Comrade Sládek, our efforts to increase our agricultural outputs have been moving ahead of schedule. Flattening woodlands, irrigating once infertile soil and bulldozing/repurposing irrelevant crop yields used for wasteful produce, has allowed us to secure approximately 30,000 new hectares of previously unsuitable terrain. We have overseen the nationalization of private farms and heavily mechanized an additional 36% of current farming industry. We expect yields following intensive pesticide and fertilization efforts with crop rotation to sufficiently bring the average calorie rate up to; Workers (1200), Soldiers & Police (1500), Commissariat (1800), Upper Party (2200). Numbers are expected to rise as the domesticated cattle of the nation pursues its new mass breeding programs.

[Mining Output Report 2-B]
Prospecting efforts have enabled us to find new suitable locations for mining operations around the country. Lirnak specifically was discovered to have new areas rich in coal, iron, and nickel. Smaller deposits suitable for only meager outputs of copper and silver were found in Celania & Pilgon, while Uranium output continues to grow as the vast natural reserves are exploited. 92% of Lirnaks new output feeds into the local refineries and blasting plants, and supplies Industrial District Lirnak to fuel military output, the other 8% used for civilian appliances. Achieving such results in a short time is a testament to the undying Kundrati will, the only byproduct of our operations has been the exceeding deaths, we estimate worker fatalities to be in the range of 20,000 in the last 8 months, highlighting the need for more manpower.

[Industrial Output Report 3-B]
Industrial District Lirnak while primarily concerned with producing military equipment also now produces approximately 30% of the nations hardened steel suitable for construction and alternative applications, our smelters in the factories account for about 20% of the nations other materials such as; Iron, Silicon, Copper, Bauxite, and so on. Many of these aggregate materials have previously been routed from Xsampa, Narikaton and Darnussia, and other nations which continue to trade with us through Likatonia. Now due to the Likatonian trade withdrawal, these vessels have been slowed in volume and expediency, reducing output. Our reserves remain strong for the time being, but full efficiency will be halted until trade volume resumes. We are relentlessly pursuing new domestic alternatives in the never ending war for self sufficiency against the degenerate nations of Terra.

[Infrastructure Report 4-B]
Our efforts to pave all roads, overhaul the national rail system, and introduce nation wide centralized heating have been working slightly behind schedule, the responsible parties have been liquidated and replaced. Our manpower though ranging around 800,000 concurrent laborers has been stretched thin between sections 1-3B, in order to accelerate infrastructure projects we believe a new wave of arrests of dissidents may be necessary. To that end we have included proposals for the mass seizures of ethnic groups not already arresting including Luthorians & Dorvish previously excluded from rehabilitation, we expect this would increase manpower by around 150,000 if carried out at the 95% efficiency expected. In terms of roads, we have successfully laid asphalt and concrete replacing 18% of all unpaved roads, we furthermore have completed 12% of rail laying projects, which we expect to be finished within 2 years. Centralized heating has been most successful with 4 of our 19 benchmarks met ahead of schedule, soon the people of Kundrati will have free access heating at a margin of the cost year round. All glory to the Legion!

Sládek read the reports again and again, some brought him comfort but others were unacceptable. He began writing a list of names for the firing squads, and hit the button on his desk. Three masked legionary commissars entered and took the paper without question leaving promptly. "Things need to be accelerated faster" murmured Sládek, if Kundrati had any hope of defeating their foes they would need to be a powerhouse of industrial might. Sládek began planning for new diplomatic maneuvers to rectify these shortcomings, and ordered up the new arrests to fill the never ending grinder of penal labor that kept the regime moving. "at least these dorvish and luthorians will be good for something now" he chuckled as he imagined them slaving away, a smile spreading across his scarred face.

Jorgen Island, Freiheit, Lackmann Residence

Wrntukai was clenching his teeth and basicly fighting for his life due to the beast under the table currently ravaging him when he suddenly had to pick up his "important things phone." His aide explained what it was and for once Wrntukai was actually interested since it had something to do with guns and the potential for conflict. The red phone rang and he picked up. Some Beiteynese Official Minister or General.. what was it? Nevermind, who cares? In any case the Emperor told them to shoot these pricks! That'll show the ree- was what was going on in his mind before the beast finished and showed her silky brown haired head rising from under the office desk. "Theooo~~ you're incredible..."
The Empress wipes her lips and looks sternly at Wrntukai. "WHAT did YOU just ORDER!?" It just dawned on them....

Jorgen Island, Freiheit, A random beach

It was all such a blur. He wasnt sure if it was the wild mixture of pills offered by his international peer or the copious amounts of alcohol flowing through his veins but Josef was having an immensely good time. No matter if he had no pants on, who knows where they might be? Actually "Who am I?" was the most pressing question on Josef's mind. His partner was doing a snow-angel on the warm beach sands of Jorgen. His long grey hair being completely dirty and he was also missing his pants.. or rather all clothing except for his underpants. "SUUUURFUUUNNGOOO" shouted Josef. "WHAT?!" he answered- "I have an important business cahahahahaverwafdfwdfgrehsfg." Surfungo stood up and slapped Josef in the face. "Ah! Yes! Thank you! I remember! I have to call the Reichskanzler." - wait - "You are the Reichskanzler!" He nodded.

"Aaah yes. I wanted to call my secretary."

They stared at the waves hitting the beautiful beach.

"THEY DID WHAT?!"

RE: A Battle Unseen - Auditorii - 07-01-2025

The aging Minister of Defense and Inspector-General of the Armed Forces, Generaloberst Hosian von Lÿndow-Sennhein sat behind a desk, signing documents as a member of his security detail knocked on the door and then entered after a moment. "Herr Generaloberst." Hosian waved his hand, expecting the Inspector of the Dorvish Navy, Admiral Jannick Fleischhacker entered into the room as did several officers on his staff, close behind him was the Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Alex Rahmer as well as Coordinator of the State Security and Defense Council Benedikt Rottmann. They all exchanged pleasantries, handshakes and salutes and the Inspector-General motioned them to all take seats. They were offered drinks and cigars, most of them accepting with the exception of Rottmann who noted that he had to brief the State Chancellor following this meeting. "Well, we all know why we are gathered here." The Inspector-General moved to the front of his desk, leaning up against.

The group nodded. "In addition to deployment of the High Seas Monitoring Squadron to assist our..." The Inspector-General paused and some of them chuckled. "...allies in Xsampa, the deployment will funnel information gathered about Beiteynu movements to the Xsampan intelligence community through the Foreign Intelligence Service. The Military Security Service will also provide intelligence through other means. Admiral Fleischhacker has noted that the State Chancellor expressed some concerns privately to him." The Inspector-General motioned to the Inspector of the Dorvish Navy. "Correct, the State Chancellor was concerned that should Beiteynu fire upon our vessels, which I doubt that they would do that, we'd be outmatched." The Admiral, who had recently taken over the position from his predecessor, had been a surface warfare officer. The Inspector-General nodded. "We've rectified that situation." The Inspector-General informed him and Fleischhacker raised an eyebrow. "We've confirmed that we will be deploying several wolfpacks to the area." The Inspector-General made eye contact with each of the gathered officials there. Fleischhacker nodded. "I suspected that the meeting with Admiral Max Hessel was going to confirm that." The Inspector-General moved to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "You're new. You've inherited a Dorvish Navy that needs love and care, and you're doing that on a day to day basis. This is not a slight, this is an attempt to assist you with some peace."

The deployment of Dorvish wolfpacks to provide cover to the High Seas Monitoring Squadron, while providing additional intelligence gathering, will provide significant firepower in the event that the conflict takes a dangerous turn. The Inspector-General would proceed to talk about "contingency" plans in the event of a strike from a hostile state, including options that "hit close to home" for those potential hostile states.

Hashmada
Undisclosed location, Desert Bank, Beiteynu - May 5597

She eyed the BB Man, trying to read him.

Long silence; rustling of clothes; smokey air.

"Is it still possible?", she asked.

"Yes".

She looked at him, tilting her head backwards as if gauging him; and the decision.

"Do it".

He looked at her, exhaled a shitload of smoke, put out his cigarette and left the room. She was blindfolded and escorted out. Sounds of doors, then a Sandcat engine, probably. Door banging. Chatter. Blades of a helicopter looming in. Walking, lots of wind. Headphones over ears.

A long time after, blindfold was off; and there lay Yishelem underneath the horizon, amongst the Karkaari.

[January 5579, Kaesama]

Quote:Sládek signed off the order and had it immediately sent out

The finalized document established the new research team that would be formed, Unit-999, along with a research facility near IDL manned with the best and brightest the Kundrati military and state had to offer. They would pursue research into the things other nations dare not; Chemical weapons, performance enhancing drugs, human experiments meant to find new and innovative ways to get the edge Kundrati needed over their enemies. Sladek smiled at the thought of Kundrati superhuman soldiers, impervious to fatigue, fear, disobedience, he imagined them marching on Kaliburg righteously purging the degenerate sodom of Terra, he could see the burning royal palace as the Empress was riddled with his mens bullets.

The facility approved costed millions that the state needed elsewhere, he had accordingly cut it from the state healthcare and school budgets. This project must be paramount, no expense was too much, no experiment too extreme.

Kundrati would Prevail.

Report 37-C (6/14/97) [HIGHLY CLASSIFIED - SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL OMEGA]

Quote:Following the supreme leaders commands to expand our chemical arsenal this program is top secret in nature and for select eyes only; The establishment of our testing site in Lirnak has been complete following 4 months of construction, the underground complex lies 3 miles east of Industrial District Lirnak (IDL), currently boasting a retinue of 30 of the leading chemists and chemical experts in Kundrati and a handpicked staff of 100 legionary guards, all background checked only permitted from the first 6 months bracket of the parties lifetime were considered for security reasons.

We have begun bringing in test subjects, 100 total, age ranging from 15-35 of varying genders and ethnic backgrounds, subjects have been confused and sometimes aggressive given the clandestine nature of their arrival. Cell blocks have not administered any calming agents to prevent chemical test interference. A variety of proposed chemical tests are currently undergoing preliminary review and subject to approval from the supreme leader.

Compound R-31/14: Proposal 1 suggested by Dr. Kilakov, a Tabun nerve agent derivative nicknamed "Kovor" has been proposed as an alternative to the original solution. Tabun in its normal form while extremely effective against unprotected soft targets without adequate full body protection, will leave much residue that could harm our own soldiers and hinder offensive action. Therefor an effort to increase toxicity and decrease longevity has been undertaken, considered an effective use for targeting civilian infrastructure.

Compound Z-0/1: Proposal 2 Z-0/1 nicknamed "Sládite", the most ambitious of the two projects and proposed by Dr. Draganov, seeks to combine the elements of mustard gas and Chlorine trifluoride, hoping to achieve an extremely incendiary blister agent that would render any soft targets completely vulnerable despite any gear on account of rapid melting. Currently an extremely volatile agent, Dr. Draganov has done preliminary tests on rats and small apes that suggest it may be possible to synthesize and stabilize this with other inhalants and gaseous agents.

Both tests will begin on subjects sections 1-A & 3-A within 2 days. All glory to the legion

RE: A Battle Unseen - Flip - 08-01-2025

28th of August 5597, Conference Room of the Executive Committee, Fajroturo

"So after all it IS dementia?!" Migdalo interrupted his oldest colleague Sojknabo while the Commissar of Foreign Affairs was reading aloud the report on Directors Surfungos health, trying to decipher what all these overly complicated medical terms were supposed to mean for the political status quo.

"I think so-" answered Sojknabo "Mental decline caused by illness and accelerated by the use of psychosis-inducing substances. Thats what it says here. It explains a lot. After his return from Jorgen Island the whole Committee had to babysit Lisergio for over a year now. We should have had him checked earlier"

Migdalo sighed, reflecting on the situation for a moment. "Well I think we all know who is next in line"

Sojknabo looked at him in shock "What? I'm almost as old as the Director I cannot possibly ascend to that position any more"

Migdalo nodded. "It won't be for too long, we just need time to evaluate options of reshuffling the EC and after Surfungo you're the most popular candidate at the moment. I'll help you manage things from here on. But we cannot possibly let some upstart from the Supreme Council take this opportunity to fill in a power vacuum. Your claim would not be questioned although you might not like the idea, both of us owe this to the Republic"

RE: A Battle Unseen - Dredd - 08-01-2025

Quote:Excerpts from Experiment Report X-32-1

As part of an effort to study possible development of superior endurance and resilience qualities, a step towards the creation of the New Legionary Man, five (5) subjects (one female and four male, between XX and XX years of age), have been selected to undergo an artificially prolonged period of wake over the duration of X weeks, 2 days, 4 hours and approximately 17 minutes. The subjects were regularly intravenously injected a mixture of stimulants (see Addendum 1.1 for information) designed to render sleep impossible and placed in a room for the whole duration of the experiment, with checks on their status performed daily as the stimulants was injected.

(...)

Procedure: Possibly because they were promised freedom after the end of the experiments, the subjects exhibited no particular discomfort during the first five days of observation, instead showing heightened awareness and responsiveness to stimuli (possibly a side effect of the stimulants). During the sixth day, all 5 subjects began to experience serious psychological and psychiatric symptoms, including severe paranoia, psychosis, and XXXXXXXXXXXX. The experiment continued for XX more days as the subjects' symptoms gradually worsened before suddenly subsiding on the XXth day, with the subjects appearing calm and mentally sound.

As the experiment was about to be declared a success, two commissariat guards proceeded to open the locked door of the room to let the researchers enter. At that moment however one of the subjects immediately XXXXXXXX one of the security guards, causing his instant death; afterwards, the other guard XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX on the subject, inflicting XXXXXXXXXXXXXX on the limbs and genital area, resulting in the subject’s immediate incapacitation (now kept in containment at T-33 for further future study). As the subject fell on the ground, XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXX the remaining 4 subjects XXXXXXX and the legion personnel, resulting in the deaths of the remaining guards and research staff.

The experiment was therefore terminated. It was noted that the subjects remained conscious for XX more days after the incident (now kept in containment at XXXXXXXXXXX), which in one case has been attributed to XXXXXXX. A crew of penal subjects has been formed to clean the leftover blood and other XXXXXXXX by the area.

RE: A Battle Unseen - hyraemous - 10-01-2025

A Dredd Presentation

Quote:REPORT: On the effectiveness of experimental compound Compound Z-0/1, a.k.a. ‘Sládite’

SUMMARY: Twelve test subjects were introduced to the testing chamber, all individuals from different racial backgrounds. All were in fine health and of young age, ranging from 15 to 30. Subjects demonstrated confusion and some degree of resistance.

Compound Z-0/1: was introduced via pumps 30 seconds after the chamber door was sealed. Effects were immediate and drastic. Dense nature of the gas caused rapid onset of symptoms. Coughing and shortness of breath began almost immediately after exposure. Subjects began coughing blood, likely showing breakdown of lung tissue. Corrosive nature of compound was readily apparent. Skin began to burn and blister less than thirty seconds after exposure. Close inspection revealed that gums were bleeding, and skin appeared to be actively dissolving at a slow rate. All twelve subjects were confirmed deceased within three minutes.

Uncertain what denseness of gas is required to cause rapid corrosion of organic matter, but the rapid onset of the desired symptom is a promising sign. Subjects continued to rapidly disintegrate after death. Test chamber has yet to be cleaned, as nobody has the stomach to enter and are unable to drain the thick organic slurry that has formed from the flesh, blood and organs of the deceased subjects.

Glory to the Legion!
