After decades of political stagnation and moralist uproar at the fundamental precepts of the Triad Republic the market has apparently stabilized with trading routes stopping shrinkage and renewed confidence in the traits of the market access of Narikaton, Darnussia and Himmelshtern. What made the nation originally rich was an abundance of investment options ranging from very low to very high risk as well as the large consumber base the trading menace has access too, recently the renewed foreign political activity of the Ossel administration has strengthened these pillars of the economy and we see more purchasing power in tandem with corporate capital flowing in high speeds in various directions. A helpful hand were the commercial port rights in Valruzia, the stakes in Saridan as well as the development plans for the Badlands of Amudim. The recently acquired Yishelem is also going to open another barrage of opportunity. After successfully annexing more land from the dissolved city-state of Yishelem, she aims to increase the direct political power of her party in the region by pressing the city-states to allow the VVP offshoot “Yeudische Volkspartei” to contest elections in Tel Bira. This would mean that Bannerhafen would have hierarchicaly controlable personell down in the city-states which would in theory – again – increase the dependency the largely confused political elite has on the Narik-Darnussian regime. Diplomats in Jorgen have tried to soften the attitude of the Directorate of Majatra by offering other concessions but met deaf ears. It stands to reason that sooner rather than later Bannerhafen intends to assert direct control over the Neset.

While a Deal between the old Dual Monarchy and the - back then - Nadiyan Economic Community had already been brokered due to the sheer charisma of former President and Queen Theodora Lackmann, it was never finalized. The reasons for the "frozen" state of the agreement can be attributed to the various political dramas unfolding both in the former Jelbic Empire especially the dissolution of the nation of Beiteynu and the subsequent foundation of the Triad, as well as in what was formerly known as Trigunia, which was in a process of re-uniting under the new name Nadiya. After years of tacit communication between the two nations, Director of Foreign Affairs Konrad Burschenschauer (VVP) has re-initiated talks with the government in Nadiya and has managed to convince them to follow through with the deal, while it was reduced to a simple entrance of Nadiya into the decentralized supply and distribution network, its still a foreign policy victory for the reinvigorated Triad Republic. While the situation in Rildanor is politically complex, the Triad has signed a deal with the regime which includes 15 billion TC in capital investments from the Bannerpakt financing platform. After a little more than half of the term of President Siske Ossel polling numbers for the next election have started to be published by market research groups. In any case, without any major shakeups it seems like a certain VVP victory and a continuation of the current path.

After questions have been raised about the future of the centralism in the recently enlarged Triad Republic and a local party – while unionist – advocates for autonomy has gained momentum in the face of the 5568 elections, the governing VVP-TKP Ossel administration has announced that it is actively involving stakeholders especially some Amudim officials and local politicians of the YVP as well as the YBP (Yeudi Citizen Party; Centrist Federalist Party) to propose a program to the Senate which is going to include some devolution of executive function. The speaker of the Senate Thorsten Uberbuber (VVP) already declined a potential decrease in Senate authority when it comes to the new regions, so it already appears that Ossel is facing some internal division on the issue, however it seems unlikely that the comparatively small centralist wing of the VVP will earn a victory on the issue since most of the party is either completely neutral or just states that corporate interests have to be considered. Four Months before the elections – one could describe as “already called” – Ossel announced her latest foreign policy stunt. In a relatively surprising turn of events she has revealed a deal with Pontesi, a nation which already has close economic and political ties to the Triad. Many suspect that this comes in an effort to also tie the new political landscape of Pontesi, which is decidedly more left-wing to its traditional ally in Bannerhafen.

According to the office of the president, Ossel has finalized deals with the new government in Pontesi which will lead the prominent car-manufacturer Jamborghini to open at least two factories in Pontesi to profit from their know-how in car-manufacturing, this seems fitting as the Triad appears to combine its wide-ranging fossil-fuel distribution networking with innovative “green” energy alternatives like the massive planned solar farm in the Himmelshtern republic and the new Jamborghini low-income targeted electric vehicle to be produced in Pontesi.
In regards to finance, the publicly owned Bannerpakt financing platform, which offers low-interest loans, guaranteed by the state, is opening a branch office in Pontesi which is supposed to curb the local industry, which also has the benefit of already earned trust after years of cooperating with Pontesi in many commercial matters.

The biggest announcement connects to the intercontinental mining titan Minenhandwerks AG which operates on almost all continents, which has announced large prospecting plans to mine the large coal veins suspected under Pontesi, the company is already a major supplier of basically any metal you can imagine but has decided to expand its already enormous majatran operations in Pontesi since the government has agreed to speed up its permit-process. Cooperating with Minenhandwerk is Darnusdiamant which is going to exploit the comparatively minor diamond resources in Pontesi to complete its regional dominance. Additionally partnering with Minenhandwerk is the government of Pontesi itself which has decided to finally use its domestic Uranium sources after binding it to state-only usage. The Know-how learned by the titan in its field and its past partnership with Deltaria is going to be profitable to both Pontesi and the corporation as the fielding of nuclear technology and the selling of the resource in a world diversifying its energy usage is almost certainly a win for both parties.

The cheery on top of the quite large cooperative deal is the establishment of a cultural exchange institute, with a large student exchange contingent, between the Triad and Pontesi to further enhance the ease of business between the two and also to support linguistic understanding between the peoples of the two long-standing partners. This comes as no surprise as recent Pontesian census efforts have revealed that there is a considerable amount of both non-work and work related migration between the two countries.

The people of the – now enlarged – Triad Republic have voted for the first time in the bounds of its new borders and have more or less followed what has been predicted by market research during the middle of the term. A few caveats exist but they do not represent a major political power shift

With regards to the Senate, the VVP finishes first but wins quite a few percentage points less than initially expected. The difference between the 35% relative majority and the second largest party the official opposition, the social democratic Grand Reform Party, counts 6% and is obviously quite large. The numbers for the middle of the pack represented by the TKP and DRP are almost unchanged from pre-election polling but confirm a general downward trend for the conservative Thallerists and a stagnancy for the liberal centrists in the Democratic Republicans. Summarily one could say that the GRP did not lose as bad as expected and the biggest surprise is a slight victory for the moderately conservative Yeudi Citizen Party (Yeudische Bürgerpartei) which advocates for federalism, election analysts have explained that this development was not surprising at all considering the recent popularization of the issue by Siske Ossel. 

The Presidential race has been even more clear than market researchers have stated which bodes well for the approval ratings of Siske Ossel, she has won the election with a baffling 58 percentage point lead and is going to continue her presidency in a second term. Most of the political observers expect Ossel to continue her administration with the already familiar conservative Thallerists even though some issues still have to be challenged. Both Federalization and some foreign policy questions have to be overcome in the negotiations to continue the current coalition government constellation. In a recent opinion shift while campaigning for the Senate, the TKP has also started to open up to more regulatory policies such as bureaucracy reform, some labour protection laws and the maintenance of a basic level of welfare. Left-Wing voters have interpreted it as a bid to steal voters from the GRP and as such have not bought into this shift. In any case, we’re watching the political volatility and cut-throat politics of the Triad unfold in real-time.

Shortly after the results of the referendum in Wrnuke hit the news, the recently reelected and strengthened Siske Ossel has decided to take the microphoine to formally congratulate the people of Wrnuke and the family Banmek-Sntazed to the freedom from the far-left totalitarian yoke. She apparently was especially delighted to see that the people have chosen tradition by engaging with monarchical thought again. While she herself is a “burning republican” she knows that the people of Wrnuke and the family Banmek-Sntazed are inseparable. At the impromptu celebration, she has invited all the “jelbic peoples” to cheer with their narik, darnussian and yeudi “brethren” to hail a nation back onto the stage of market, prosperity and freedom. At the end of the – drinking heavy – celebration she has again approached the press to announce her own tour of Wrnuke to “finally meet the natural allies of Bannerhafen to the south.”
