RE: PT Global Economy: Thoughts and Ideas - Doc - 27-02-2026 I want to not dominate this conversation but a working global economy and currency system is near and dear to my heart, and is essential to bring some realism into the economic aspects, which drive many (I'm not a marxist, so I am not going to say every) aspects of both domestic RP and geopolitical RP. If we're going to simulate geopolitics, we MUST have something like a functional economic model that, conceptually, enforces a scarcity model, whatever that happens to look like or however it happens to be implemented. So I would say some categories 0-1 per strategic, industrial, and consumer resource (we can make a list of these) 0-1 capital controls 0-1 FDI openness 0-1 trade openness 0-1 urbanization 0-1 education 0-1 economic liberalism 0-1 political stability 0-1 what I would call "churn", turnover, new startups, consolidation, economic or monetary crises that sort of thing 0-1 infrastructural capacity (ports, rails, airports, etc) 0-1 economic equality These are just some categories off the top of the dome at the moment. Surely there are more. |
