Sunada Machiko Wins Social Democratic Party Leadership

KAIZHOU, Jiaozhi: Social Democratic Party members gathered at the Cheng Xiuying Center just outside of Kaizhou for their Party Conference over the past weekend. After a multitude of speeches from party members, as well as a few performances from celebrities, the primary election results were announced.
The primary season had been quite energetic, specifically picking up after incumbent, and Party Founder, Fa Rong announced her retirement. About a dozen candidates from across Indrala were in the running, but by the even of the primary election only three stood out: Sunada Machiko, Xue Yi, and Cheng Ah.
Despite her youth, and recent introduction into national politics, Sunada Machiko was able to push ahead of the others, and rise as the Party Leader of the Social Democrats. Results showed a 57.4% majority voting for Ms. Sunada, 30.8% for Dr. Cheng, and 11.8% choosing Ms. Xue.
Sunada Machiko arrived in Indrala as a refugee from Dovani when she was just 7 years of age. Attending Kaizhou National University, she quickly became the top of her class, exceling in both political science and law. Ms. Sunada's stances made her popular among many young, especially urban dwelling, Indralans, along with gaining the support of many Social Democratic immigrants.
Ms. Sunada gave a rousing victory speech as she accepted her role. The entire conference burst into applause at its completion.
"It is really a great honour for me to be chosen as the leader of our party, and I thank each and everyone of you for bestowing this title upon me. With hard work and unity we can truly bring progress to all of Indrala. We must work together with out Lotus Party and New Dawn partners against the growing threat of extremism, on both sides of the spectrum, in Indrala. To the Communist Party, I must say that it is you who have actually betrayed the people of Indrala! You seek to bring devastation and conflict to all of our country, must I remind everyone of our own history, of the terror that the Zensho Socialist period brought? Or that the type of Metzism supported by this party calls for unbridled proletarian revolution? How would such destruction bring prosperity to our people? If we look on the right-side of the things, the Freedom and Grand National Parties threaten to undo the fabric of our social support systems, of our government in entirety! We must be careful going into this uncertain future, but I know that the energy and commitment of our party will pull us through in the end! Thank you all!"
Besides the election of Party Leader, the Social Democrats' new chancellor was also voted in. Yuan Kun won with 63.1% of the vote.

Last week, the Crown Prince embarked on a tour of Shu Province, focusing specifically on rural routes through multiple agrarian communities. The Crown Prince, continuing his family’s proud legacy of equestrianism, departed from the Imperial Palace on horseback.
The coastal village of Yanwan (岩湾, Rock Bay) was His Imperial Highness’s first stop. Upon his arrival, villagers noted that all the flowers had turned their back to the sun, choosing instead to bloom in the direction of the Emperor’s son! Local school children put on a display of the Guidao Quan martial arts, in acknowledgment of His Highness’s favoured pastime. The Crown Prince remarked on the beauty of Yanwan; observing the jagged rocks and deep, protected harbour of the village, His Imperial Highness applauded the pragmatic naming of the area.
The villagers of Zhushan (竹山, Bamboo Hill), the Crown Prince’s second stop, were moved by the great visit; happily beating drums, burning incense, and hanging up peonies they prostrated themselves on both sides of the street to welcome the Crown Prince. Upon seeing this, His Imperial Highness remarked that “although this shows their sincere feelings of respect and affection, I fear it is a harmful waste of materials and labour that is most regrettable.” The Crown Prince personally reviewed students at the Zhushan Archery Academy on foot.
Indeed, from the time His Highness began his tour of the South, there were always people lining the sides of the road. Some burned incense or offered fruits, respectfully kneeling in front of the Crown Prince’s horse, some picked up earth with their hands and covered-up patches in order to make the imperial route more passable, others played drums and danced for joy, all to show their sincere feelings. His Highness also stopped his horse and offered words of comfort and encouragement so that the crowds felt even greater pleasure.
The Crown Prince’s final stop was in the village of Laohuxi (老虎溪, Tiger Creek). The extreme altitude affected many in the Crown Prince’s party, however the people of Laohuxi displayed perfect hospitality and cared for them. The Crown Prince spent the evening by holding an audience with the village’s elders. To them, the Crown Prince remarked that “the best life is characterized by simple, everyday pleasures and rich relationships with family, friends, and members of one’s community,” he added, “no multitude of material goods can resolve one’s spiritual desires.” The elders were gracious for the wisdom passed unto them by the 25-year-old Crown Prince.
The Crown Prince’s tour gave ordinary and often forgotten Indralans a chance to behold the personification of a flourishing age; the sincerity of their love for him was clearly visible. As is the love for the Son of Heaven, may he live and reign for ten thousand years!

Normally, the incoherent babble of a madman is confined to the mental institutions of this country. However, Zig-zaggin' Zhu Ping was able to swindle his way into publishing a bizarre and ridiculous response to an article The Nationalist Bulletin had published on his repulsive calls to oust the Son of Heaven, and by extension end the connection between Heaven and Earth!
The brain of this crazy commie, surely rattled by drug use, is unable to comprehend that the people of Indrala aren't interested in the inconsequential ideological difference between two Reds. The people want to know why these Reds want to remove our beloved Son of Heaven! Why the Commies want to condemn the farmers of Indrala to poverty! Why the Commies want to reject the religious and traditional practices of more than 88 million people in this country, and countless others around the world! These are the questions that the people demand answers for!
It's nice to see that the Social Democrats have elected a foreigner as their party leader who disavows the ridiculousness of Zhu's certifiably deranged thoughts and beliefs, but when will she stand up once and for all and support His Imperial Majesty? How loyal is she to the State of Indrala if she cannot support the most fundamental symbol of the State, the Son of Heaven? As the original article said; the two Reds are equally dangerous so long as the Social Democrats and Communists are united in their fight against our popular religious beliefs, our cultural traditions, and of course the Mandate of Heaven. Republicanism is Metzism, and Metzism is republicanism.
As Master Jien wrote, "Heaven gives long life to the just and the intelligent." Luckily it seems that Zhu Ping is neither just nor intelligent.

All peoples know that Jienism have already implemented in this country for thousands of years. Its influence have already spread to the economic, social and cultural aspects. A lot of people praised it but I am here to let you know that they are all wrong! Jienism is completely evil, completely cunning and completely false! It is just the shackles of the feudal reactionary rule that enslaves our people and the spiritual poison that close up our people's mind. Why am I saying that? Listening to my reasons:
First, the theories of good human kind and similar characters are completely nonsense. Darwin said:"Natural selection, survival of the fittest.". All creatures, including human, can do anything for survival and power and money. Exchange their own sons for eating, political power struggles always happened in our history. Even in the ages of peace and prosperity, family disputes still always happened, which is the country's sorrow. Therefore, all peoples are greedy and the theories of good human kind is unfounded. Besides, the theory of similar characters is the theory that ignore the science, which is totally baseless. Modern biological technology have proven that each person's DNA arrangements are different, which means all peoples are unique. How can it be similar? Is Jienism still trustworthy?
Second, Jienzi promotes the priority of ranks according to ages, which is only a tool of elite rule and its purpose is to maintain its evil feudalistic rule and make our people to become thousands of lackeys. It would destroy the enhancement of the democracy and the whole nation, which is a big sorrow to the nation too. The country only choose the person that it thinks him/her are capable with the duty to be the officials. The whole game is controlled by only a small group of people which the peasants cannot share from it. They totally forget the story of "Water holds up the boat, water also sinks the boat."! If peasants cannot intervene the policy making processes, a dictatorship of elite class will be formed. Yingdala is still far away from true democratic society because of that. If the peasants are brain-washed by Jienism and worship to a high-level person that they never meet or no nothing about him and even talks about sacrifice for him, isn't this a lackey? Is this worthy to our people? Is Jienism still trustworthy?
Moreover, Jienzi also promotes ritual ceremonies. This is a complete waste of time and resources and is not a meaningful affair. Big worshiping ceremonies involves a lot of use of dead livestock and the meat cannot be eaten after the ceremonies. This is a waste of food. Furthermore, ancestor worshiping and ritual sacrifice to the Heaven usually takes a few days. During these days, the peoples cannot join the production and they can get no physical advantages from these ceremonies. Isn't this a waste of time? Why Jienzi still persuade these ceremonies? Just to increase the stability of feudal monarchy rule and stop the peasants to participate in politics. Is such a selfish theory still trustworthy?
Some may say Yingdala performs constitutional monarchy under the Jienism. We have our parliament and the Emperor do not have any power to rule the nation. Why are you still saying that Yingdala do not have democracy? It is true that our country performs constitutional monarchy but it is not equal to the true democracy. Once the Emperor still exist, his aggressiveness of power is not declined. Once Jienism still exist, the Heart of Being Lackeys is still not declined and they are forced to follow the Imperial Order and not dare to criticize the problems in the society. Even when we have Parliament, all bills are beneficial to the monarchy. How can the democracy still exist?
Peoples of this nation! Wake up! Jienism is the biggest scam ever in our history! The only thing that we should do is to throw away this useless poison and fight for the liberation of our thoughts and make Yingdala great again!

NATIONWIDE NEWS: Local businessman and former owner of a small chain of laundromats in Tian'an, Fang Wei, has announced the formation of a political party, named the "Freedom Party", advocating for more free-market practices in an already fairly laissez-faire economy. Fang's entrance into the political arena comes days after he sold all his assets in his aforementioned laundromat chain, which was named the "Happy Sun Laundromat", and bought up a small oil drilling company, named "Indralan National Petroleum", headquartered in Mudanwan, in the Min Province. He then, as Chairman of the Freedom Party, submitted to the National Assembly a charter to ask for their approval to begin offshore drilling 50 miles off the coast of Mudanwan, in pursuit of oil. Despite the mainland being still rich in natural minerals, he believes more crude oil sits at the bottom of the seabed. Due to the government's laissez-faire approach to economics, oil companies typically haven't asked for permits to do such things, and instead immediately began to offshore drill. Fang's unusual approach to this seems to be an attempt to warm up to the other parties in the National Assembly. His location of drilling has also struck other companies as an oddity, as most crude oil refineries have been headquartered in Anle, in Tiaxi. He believes that there is quote, "Untapped potential" sitting beneath the seabed. The company he purchased already had in its possession two oil rigs. He plans to begin operations in the area sometime later this week. Today, Fang successfully registered his company on the Indralan Stock Exchange as INP. He has in a somewhat cocky way already approached investors to his company, proclaiming that Indralan National Petroleum is on the verge of unrivaled economic success. Time will tell however whether or not Fang's business rises up, or falls flat.

Lotus Party decimated, Li Baihan booed during election night rally
LP Leader did not resign despite suffering historic losses
NATIONWIDE: The 4369 General Election delivered results which few pollsters had predicted. Despite their entry into politics just three years ago, the Communist Party and the Grand National Party were the main victors of the night, winning 224 and 225 seats respectively. With the current composition of the Grand Assembly, it is expected that the Grand National Party will form a governing coalition, as it is unlikely that any party will join a coalition with the Communists, and it is further unlikely that the Communists will allow a minority government. It is thus projected that the Emperor's cousin Count Lü Yejun will be replaced as Chief Counselor by GNP Leader Mo Ah. Lü has been the Chief Counselor since 4353 (17 years), making him the longest serving head of government in Indrala since Kwan Zhiyong (15 years), and the longest serving head of government since the restoration.
The governing coalition (Majority New Dawn, Junior Partner Lotus Party) suffered a massive swing of nearly 48% to the other opposition parties, capturing less than 20% of the popular vote. New Dawn, which five years prior had won 61% of the vote, won only 17% while the Lotus Party recieved the lowest number of votes in the party's history at just 2%, or 814,892 votes. Lotus Party Minister of Science and Technology Xing Yuhan lost his seat.

Lotus Party members, infuriated by the results, were heard shouting through Leader Li Baihan's election night concession speech. When Li said during the speech that she would "remain on as leader to fight for ordinary Indralans," the crowd responded with uproar. Li had to pause for a moment until the room quieted enough for her to proceed. She would have to stop occasionally as the crowd chanted "take responsibility!" or "resign now!"
Nearing the end of her speech it was clear that the crowd would not subside, and so Li abruptly finished her speech twenty minutes early, waving to the crowd before being escorted out of the building by her security team and members of the National Police Agency.
Members have long been dissatisfied with Li's leadership, which many have described as "non-existent." In 4368, Li narrowly succeeded through a biennial Leadership Review vote, winning 64% of delegate support.

NATIONAL NEWS: This election night created a great swing in the future of Indralan governance. The once dominant Social Democratic, Lotus, and New Dawn parties all failed to achieve a majority in the National Assembly, instead the new Communist and Grand National winners came out as victors, together making up over 2/3 of the legislature.
The Social Democrats under their newly elected Party Leader, Sunada Machiko, were particularly disappointed. This has been the lowest turn out for the party in nearly two decades of elections. Quite a few party members blamed this failure on Ms. Sunada herself, saying that if Fa Rong had run the party would have stayed strong. Despite this, many urban supporters of the Social Democrats have continued to voice their support for their leader. Xia Jia, a supporter of Ms. Sunada, let us interview her:
"While I understand that this has been a rather disappointing show for our party, I think that Ms. Sunada has plenty of potential to become a great Party Leader. She has shown a great aptitude in exciting young, urban voters, as well as immigrants. We must give her time to truly shine."
Sunada Machiko gave her concession speech early in the morning in Tian'an. It highlighted the precariousness of modern politics and the need to unite with others.
"I know that many of you are just as dissapointed as me with the electoral results that have just come in. But, it is becoming increasingly clear to me that I must concede the race to the Grand National Party. Despite this fact, I, no we, will continue fighting for all of Indrala! It is alarming how extreme our politics have truly become, with a nationalist and a communist controlling over a third of the National Assembly each. We can not just accept this fact! We must fight for the democracy that holds our nation together! We will not fall to tyranny! This troubled time means we need to work with others to save what we hold dear, especially the Lotus and New Dawn parties. This why our party will be supporting the new Grand National Party cabinet with both the Lotus Party and New Dawn, as it will allow us to hold some semblance of continuity in our national government. Thank you all! And keep on battling for Indrala!"
While Sunada Machiko has refused to step down, the Social Democratic chancellor, Yuan Kun, has stepped down. Social Democratic Party Member Bai Zhen is to take over has interim Party Chancellor.

In polarized election, GNP and Communists compete in every region

KAIZHOU, Jiaozhi: The Grand National Party headquarters for the Jiaozhi region was the center of jubilation that spilled into the streets of Kaizhou after electoral returns showed that the GNP had won over 1/3 of votes nationally in yesterday's election. Few in the building had expected the GNP to perform so well in its debut election, despite polling in the run up to election night that indicated something big was afoot in Indrala's northern provinces.
Indrala's northernmost regions all swung for the GNP, with Jiaozhi, Anle, and Shu accounting for 164 of the Grand Nationals' 225 seats in the Grand Assembly. Political commentators from several of Indrala's most reputed think tanks highlighted that this election ended up being a blow-for-blow contest between the right-leaning and pro-monarchy GNP and the radical Metzist Communist Party, which was second in each of the northern regions and won Han in its own right.
MO Ah, leader of the Grand National Party and presumptive Chief Counselor of Indrala stated that the success of the Metzists was "worrying."
"The Metzists have undertaken a dramatic propaganda campaign," Mr. Mo said in a statement. "And the people of Indrala have been far to trusting of an ideology which declares the very foundation of the Indralan state 'poison'. Metzism cannot and will not be tolerated in Indrala. The Son of Heaven must be defended from his wayward subjects."

NATIONAL NEWS: Fang Wei, Chairman of the Freedom Party and CEO of Indralan National Petroleum didn't expect for a huge voter turnout on election night, instead being content that the party won 33 seats in the Grand Assembly, but disappointed and frustrated of the major swing in ideologies Indrala now finds itself in. "I am disappointed that the people would allow these Metzist rabble rousers to surge in the polls, as well as the nationalists. But nonetheless, as that old Baltusian saying goes, I will saddle up and keep riding." The young businessman is a noted anti-communist, and ardent supporter of the current free-market economy Indrala has been founded upon for decades. When asked about what actions he had in store against the communists, Fang had quite a bit to say.
"Firstly, my company, as well as my party, will begin a boycott of these communists. [Fang then addresses the camera] Read my lips, Metzists. If you are employed under me, you may very well pack up your things and leave. Consider this a warning. When I return to INP's headquarters tomorrow, you will be fired. Any communist sympathizers who are on the two oil rigs my company possesses will also be fired. I encourage any other party who supports both freedom of man and freedom of the market to follow in my footsteps. Free will is the cornerstone of modern Indrala. The thought of it being whisked away from us, is abhorrent. We are in a dangerous moment. These nationalists and communists together are much larger than the entirety of the previous coalitions. LOCAL NEWS: Fang Wei's company, Indralan National Petroleum, of which he recently purchased, has reactivated its oil drilling operations despite the fact that his charter failed to receive enough votes in the Grand Assembly. During the time of the transfer of leadership, the company halted its operations offshore, leading to temporary job displacement for two months. Now that the company has stabilized under Fang's leadership, its operations have now resumed. "I do not believe we are violating any laws. Typically it seems that the big caizus have largely not asked for government approval and gone right back to drilling. Besides, the rigs were there prior to my purchasing of the company. So if any government man comes to tell me to stop operations, he has no legal power to do so." Part of Fang's pursuit for profits from offshore drilling rather than onshore, he believes that the company will surge in profits, theorizing that the seabed is bursting with untapped potential. He has instructed his company to begin searching a bit more further out than they normally are, at around 50 miles off the coast in search of oil. Deep sea scans have revealed a trench that has largely been unexplored, and may be home to oil veins at the bottom of the trench, along with other mineral deposits. At the time of this publication, no penetrations of the seabed have been undertaken, and a small pilotless sub will be heading to the trench to begin taking small soil samples as well as pictures. Time will tell if Fang's endeavor will bear fruit for both his company, and the economy of Indrala.

On the October 4369, we have created the history successfully and become the second largest party in this nation. This is a big victory of Yingdalan Proletarians! A big victory for all Yingdala Peoples! The truth is that, our ideology is approved by thousands of Yingdala Peoples. And only Communism and Syndicalism can save this nation!
However, we cannot slack off our works because of that. The Proletarian Revolution is still not a complete success! The Feudal Reactionary Groups and Bourgeoisie, headed by the Grand National Party and Freedom Party, and Fake Socialist of Social Democratic Party are doing anything they can to destroy our achievements! Emperor's Mother, Princess Ryeo Kyunghee has passed, aged 87

Today, the Imperial Household Agency passed on the proclamation of His Imperial Majesty, announcing the death of his mother, Princess Ryeo Kyunghee of Dankuk. In response to the proclamation, hundreds of thousands of loyal subjects have gathered outside the Imperial Palace, wailing out of utter devastation.
Ryeo first came to Indrala in 4290, after her family was extracted from Dankuk by the Ministry of State Security during President Hong's brutal coup. As the Ryeo's were granted the temporary usage of Yincheng Mountain Retreat during their eight years in exile, the young Sun Luhan and Princess Kyunghee would eventually cross paths as teenagers and fall in love.
In February 4300, the Kaizhou Inquirer reported that Sun Luhan had become the last male member of the Sun Clan under the age of 90. The handsome and mysterious young heir garnered attention from the nation and reignited interest in the monarchy. Under the pretense of escaping the Indralan paparazzi, Sun went to study at the University of Gongmangdo in Dankuk following the momentary Ryeo restoration in 4298. It was later revealed that Sun had gone to Dankuk to reconnect with the Princess. After earning the blessing of Emperor Choesun V of Dankuk, the two were engaged in 4306.
In 4307, the Princess travelled to Indrala to visit her fiance. Tragically, while in Indrala, her family was again violently deposed, this time by Taeyang Sang-ah. Luckily, the MSS was able to secure members of her family once again, though her father tragically passed of a heart attack.
In 4311, Sun Luhan and Princess Kyunghee wed. On 1 August 4315, the Princess gave birth to the Son of Heaven. In the following year, Princess Kyunghee gave birth to Prince Kai and Princess Subin, twins.
Princess Kyunghee lived a quiet life with Sun Luhan, only appearing to the public during the restoration of 4338. Nonetheless, Kyunghee remained a beloved symbol of virtue in the hearts of millions across the realm. Thus, the pain of her passing is palpable.
