RE: Yu Dynasty Yingdala (4338-4636) - Wu Han - 08-07-2026 ![]() Lotus Party votes to remove Li Baihan, hold Leadership Convention in the fall 12th June 4374 ![]() NANDU, Shu Province: Rank-and-file Lotus Party members handed Li Baihan another ballot-box drubbing Sunday, voting to hold a leadership election in the fall, rather than continue under her leadership. The crowd erupted in cheers at Nandu's Convention Centre as delegates realized that not only had Li not attained a respectable level of support, she hadn’t even reached the 50-per-cent threshold — unheard of in a federal leadership review for the Lotus Party. The loss for Li Baihan has been viewed as a major win for Lotus Party President Sung Hyo-rin, who has had a public feud with her party's leader since the 4369 General Election in which the party descended from 103 seats to just 12 seats. In response to the results, Sung Hyo-rin posted a gif of herself on social media which many netizens took as a jab at Li. Two hours later, Sung posted a longer blog post. Quote:...the result delivered today at the convention proves that the Li Baihan is not a true representative of the Lotus Party, nor its broad and diverse membership. Today we have finally begun the process of rebuilding our party. Many criticized the last leadership review convention, which was held on the remote Haishan Island in Shu, claiming that the location was selected in order to prevent delegates from attending. Li narrowly achieved victory in that convention, however Sung was elected Party President. As such, Sung was able to select this year's convention location. Sung chose Nandu, as it is easily accessible from many different regions and municipalities, as well as being located in Shu Province, where the Lotus Party received it's highest share of the vote in the last election. Li took to the stage following the results and declared her intention to run for re-election as Party Leader. "It's shocking, because of the lack of humility and dignity," said 20-year-old delegate Liu Huanyu, "but it's hardly surprising, considering that it is Li Baihan." Following the vote, Tian'an district criminal prosecutor Gao Yifen announced his intention to run for the leadership online, and has received the endorsement of many within Sung Hyo-rin's faction of the party. Sources say that Sung approached Gao six months ago, asking him to become a candidate if Li lost the leadership review. Sung has yet to endorse him formally. KAIZHOU, Jiaozhi: After a debacle of election in 4369 through which two new, somewhat extremist parties gained over two-thirds of the legislature combined, and Lotus, New Dawn, and Social Democrat seats dropped considerably, this snap election has been a sight for sore eyes. While, the Communist Party still managed to gain the largest number of seats in the Grand Assembly, at 180, there numbers were still much reduced from the last government. Perhaps the people of Indrala are finally seeing the threat that metzism is to this nation, especially after their many failed legislative attempts. However, not all left-wing parties fared badly, as the Social Democrats gained the most seats from the election, rising to the second largest party at 132. This has been portrayed as a great victory by party leadership with Party Leader Sunada Machiko particularly thrilled: "This has been a great election for all of us in the Social Democratic Party. I am incredibly proud to see that the Indralan people still support the work we do to represent them in the Grand Assembly. 132 seats is no small number, and while we don't outmatch the Communists, we are still in a good position to oppose anything they may suggest. Furthermore, being the second largest makes it much more likely to become part of a government, and I'll let you know a secret: talks are already under way." Ms. Sunada's words have certainly been proven correct as a coalition government between the establishment Lotus Party, New Dawn, and Social Democratic Party has been announced. While the motion will create a minority government in the legislature, the GNP has agreed to the proposal in order to create a unified front against the universally opposed Communist Party. It will definitely be interesting to see how things will play out. But, the future doesn't look bad. With Indrala's establishment back in power, we are certain to see a return to the compromise and efficacy seen in the Grand Assembly prior to the introduction of so many other groups. RE: Yu Dynasty Yingdala (4338-4636) - Wu Han - 13-07-2026 ![]() Civic Forum Averts Trouble October 4374, Tianan As the Civic Forum reaches its 2-year anniversary, the party has called its first Party Congress, scheduled to be held one year after each general election of the Assembly. Held in a Conference Centre in Tian'an, the party hosted over one thousand members to the meet-up. In the Congress, meetings were convened to revise the party platform, create a 'Republican Manifesto', and continue the build-up of party organization and bodies across the nation. However, the most exciting part of all was the Leadership Election, held on the last day of the Congress. Here are some information on the candidates. Jiang Zongren is the current leader of the Civic Forum. As the founder of the party, he was criticised of leading the campaign that landed the CF the last place in the election with a mere 42 seats. As many younger members opposed him, more establishment party leaders supported him, citing the party's second-place finish in Anle. His tenure in the previous two years is surely one of mixed legacy, as the party was underdeveloped in a majority of the nation. In his first time facing leadership challenge, Jiang's poster cited an ancient poem. Quote:The flowers on the tower broke my heart, ![]() Xie Huiming is the current leader of the Women's division. Despite her relative anonymity to the public, she was greatly praised by inner party circles as a unifier of the Civic Forum. She is not critical of Jiang, but stated in an interview that, believed that she could do a better job to attract the support of non-voters. As the only female candidate in the contest, she was not shy of using gender as a card, frequently proposing gender equality platforms in and out of the party. For example, she called for making the Central Committee up of an equal proportion of female and male. She may be the black horse in this race. ![]() Slogan: Citizens Shall Regain the Future. Zhang Wei is the current shadow Environment and Tourism Minister for the Civic Forum. He is well-known in the Civic Forum as the leader of the Reformists. He has repeatedly criticised Jiang for his inaction in reaching out to voters in provinces such as Min, and pushed the blame of the party's defeat fully onto Jiang. However, it is notable that he headed the campaign in the Han province in the 4373 election. His main platforms include a revision of the rightist anti-regulation interpretation of the Three People's Principle, and the consideration of pulling closer relations with anti-Establishment parties. ![]() Slogan: Choice. With thousands of voters in the Centre, and five thousand more mail-in ballots from all around Indrala, the results are as follow: ![]() The narrow victory of Jiang was truly a crisis averted for Civic Forum. Yet it shows that Jiang has to be cautious, as the party may easily break into pieces. Sources inside the party are already saying that members opposing Jiang are already planning a hijack on future events. Nonetheless, this Party Congress truly show that Civic Forum is in troubled waters, and will take a great swimmer to rescue them out of it. Originally posted by lihokan2 on 7 April 2018. TIAN'AN, Han: For the past three days, Lotus Party President Sung Hyo-rin has been performing a three-step, one-bow walk across Tian'an. According to the Party's Spokesman, Sung wanted to express her sincerity to voters across the nation. Speaking to reporters just before beginning her walk, Sung said: "Our party has been moving in the wrong direction for a long time. As Party President, I have to take responsibility, and you cannot take responsibility with words alone. I personally respect only those who are strong enough to sacrifice themselves for their convictions. I must become someone respectable." During the 25 kilometre walk across metropolitan Tian'an, Sung did not eat or speak to anyone and slept in a tent. Often the route was met with Lotus Party caucus representatives, members and ordinary individuals moved by Sung's act who begged her to stop. At one point, Sung was forced to stop by medical professionals who were following behind her as it appeared that she might faint. With her blood pressure dropping below 60, they advised her to take a break for two hours before continuing. Due to the delay, Sung arrived at her ending location at midnight. As she performed her final bow and stood up she fainted. After regaining conciousness, Sung was whisked away by Lotus Party security personnel. Flanked by aids, she wept and kept repeating, "elect Gao Yifen, protect the Emperor, protect our democracy!" as she stumbled to an ambulance. She was then transported to Tian'an National University Hospital. ![]() Left: Sung bowing; Right: Sung is escorted from the end point
The next day, Sung was seen entering the Lotus Party headquarters in a pink pantsuit, requiring assistance from aids. Later in the day, in a yellow coat and wheelchair, Sung attended a rally in support of criminal prosecutor Gao Yifen's Lotus Party leadership campaign. It was reported by the Market that Sung had approached Gao to run for the leadership, though Sung had not yet endorsed him officially. At the rally, Sung said that "the three-step, one-bow was symbolically important, but also profoundly insightful and meditative." After the walk, Sung says that she "is certain that Gao Yifen is the candidate" to lead the Lotus Party in the future, and to "protect Indralan democracy." According to Sung, this includes "protecting the Son of Heaven as a unifying symbol of Indrala's national dignity." ![]() Left: Sung descends from a Lotus Party bus to enter the party's headquarters in downtown Tian'an; Right: Sung at Gao Yifen's rally after officially endorsing him

Gao won with nearly 72.1% of first-preference votes, beating the incumbent Li Baihan, who trailed on 18.4%, and rivals Wang Gueying who received 7.7% and Yi Ming who won just 1.8%. Gao's election marks the fifth consecutive Lotus Party contest in which a run-off has not been necessary. Minutes after his victory, Gao took to the stage to thank the membership for electing him, and vowed to take on “the politics of cynicism and hatred” occurring in Indrala. “There are many cynical politicians these days, as you are all well aware, who would make you choose between one extreme or the other. They frame the question as one between compassion and prosperity," Gao said, "I say that being compassionate and prosperous are not mutually exclusive, and when we are compassionate and prosperous, our country remains the greatest nation in the world!" The 50-year-old criminal prosecutor was predicted to win by most observers, as popular Indralan progressives, including the Lotus Party president Sung Hyo-rin rallied behind him, demonstrated through her extreme 'three-step, one bow' walk across Tian'an. 'Kingmaker' Sung Hyo-rin Many in the media have hailed Sung Hyo-rin as a 'Kingmaker' after her support for Gao secured his victory. She is also credited with having engineered the current governing coalition which put Social Democratic Leader Sunada Machiko in the Chief Counselor's Office. Speaking to reporters, Sung said that she was "absolutely overjoyed" by the results, and vowed to "fight like a dog" for Gao in the next election. ![]() Who is Gao Yifen? Gao was born in rural Anle to a miner and a stay-at-home mother. The second-youngest of seven siblings, Gao grew up in extreme poverty. Gao did not perform well in school and dropped out at age 16 to begin work as an labourer. His long-time girlfriend became pregnant around the same time as Gao received his draft notice for his mandatory national service. The two married on his eighteenth birthday on the military base in Min Province in which he was stationed. His youngest daughter was born two months later. During his free time in the military, Gao studied each night to take the ISAT, dedicated to provide a better life for his young family. Gao took the test two weeks after his discharge, achieving very strong grades which granted him admission to Tian'an National University, where he first studied economics. After receiving his bachelor of economics, Gao attended Indrala University, where he received his bachelor of law and was subsequently hired by the Supreme Prosecution Service. During his twenty years with the SPS, Gao focused extensively on sex trafficking and organized crime rings. Due to his aggressive courtroom tactics and incredibly high conviction rate, Gao was nicknamed the "Tiger of Tian'an" by local media. ![]() Legal challenge from Li Baihan Out-going Lotus Party leader Li Baihan stormed out of the convention hall following the announcement of the results. Citing 'voting irregularities' and 'obvious cases of fraud' Li Baihan announced that she would be challenging the results in a courtroom. "As I've said from the beginning, there have always been big money Tian'an elitists who want to take me down!" said Li, "the media doesn't want to talk about this, but shadowy elites are pulling the strings, and they just pulled a whole rug out from under the membership of this party who elected me six years ago!" A Lotus Party spokesperson said that they had not received reports of voting irregularities, and had faith that the election had not been compromised. In a written statement, the party said that it has "every confidence that any legal challenge will be defeated." Originally posted by Wu Han on 8 April 2018. YINCHENG, Jiaozhi: One year ahead of schedule, Kyung-hee Imperial University opened its doors to students and faculty, the first new public university built under Emperor Yijun and the first to be directly sponsored by the Imperial Household. The university is named after Princess Ryeo Kyunghee, the Emperor's mother, and has been mandated to prioritize the acceptance of women from low-income families. The Imperial Household contributed $1b (~30% of total cost), while the Ministry of Education footed most of the bill, contributing $2.25b (66%). Private enterprises and individuals also offered substantial endowments to the university, including Indralan National Petroleum, which gave the largest private donation at $100m, followed by TQ Group at $66m and Indrala Fengyu at $14m. The noble clans Cheng and Lü offered future endowments, while the FangCaiRyeo Group has also been rumoured to potentially donate to the project. The Imperial Edict gained near unanimous support in the Grand Assembly, with only the Communists voting against the motion. Predicting this, the Lotus Party's Sung Hyo-rin said during debate that it is "unfortunate that... some will be voting against the free education of low-income women in this country to score a cheap political point." For their part, the Communists declared that "[they] do not agree such a Feudal Reactionary University to be built [sic]," while the similarly republican Civic Forum claimed that the Imperial Household had donated tax dollars, and that this donation would "never justify the Oppression of our citizens' rights and equality." Following an intervention from Xi Huanyu, the Chief Secretary of the Imperial Household Agency, in which he clarified the private origin of the funds as well as the non-existent political rights of Imperial Household, the Civic Forum would eventually vote in support of the edict. Crown Prince Yinju attended the opening ceremony in place of his father, along with his siblings Princess Jieyou and Prince Wanjun. Numerous YingPop idols gave a free concert in the main quad for the students, sponsored by YM Entertainment. 6000 students were admitted, while 400 academic staff were hired. "While I know the KITE universities are much more prestigious (and an achievable goal), I really think that the new Imperial University will be much better for me. My outlook on life is to be able to understand what the impoverished of Northern Indrala are truly going through, and to hopefully bond with them through this experience. only then can I really try and help these communities." Cheng told a reporter. When asked about her plan immediately after university, Cheng responded that she would be touring Northern Indrala for at least a year, allowing her to further connect with the people. Some have questioned the necessity of Cheng to attend, claiming it would take away a spot from a women from a low-income family. Despite this, Cheng has continued to commit to the university. On the opposite hand, her incredibly close twin brother: Cheng Guo decided to follow the dreams of almost every prospective Indralan student in attending one of the KITE universities, specifically Tian'an National University. He has said that he will likely be joining their College of Business, a prestigious school that offers up about 25% of CEOs in Indrala. This could see the Cheng twin joining both the Lü and Sun clans in entering the world of business, possibly even becoming a Caizu. But of course only time will tell what will actually become of the two, as they always have the option of returning to their life in Cheng Mei Palace. The first being the Civic Forum's "Family Freedoms Act" which proposes restrictions on marriages that occur overseas, as well as legalizing bestiality so long as "it causes no harm to the animal concerned." The Lotus Party lead the charge against the legislation, which is now projected to fail, asking the Civic Forum where their priorities lie. "While the government is working to break the tide of authoritarianism and make changes that improve the lives of Indralans, the party in opposition has decided to legalize sex with animals," Lotus Party Internal Affairs Critic Chatchai Sarikulya said in debate, "Rather than trying to get out of the "business of the bedroom" this bill wants to... move sexual activity from the "bedroom" to the barnyard." The Communists defended the decision to permit human-animal coitus with a simple statement from the Party's Yang Xuan, who said "[they] will oppose any bills supported by Lotus Party. And this is a bill for more freedom. So [they] support it." This response prompted Chatchai to fire back, stating that "There are two wings forming in Indralan politics; the wing of reason and the wing of animal rapists. With this legislation, it is clear where the Civic Forum and Communist Party stand." The Communists responded to claim that the Lotus Party was showing its disdain for Indralan democracy and threaten armed civil rebellion should the bill fail. The second contentious policy debate occured around the Lotus Party's LP-131, or "An Act to Restrict Omnibus Legislation". This legislation, while gaining a majority of support from legislators, is expected to fail as it requires 2/3 support. With the current makeup of the Grand Assembly, that would require unanimous support. The new and more radical Civic Forum and Communist Parties were the first to announce their disagreement with the bill, followed by the equally young Freedom Party. Civic Forum Leader Jiang Zongren declared that this legislation meant that Indrala is "officially returning to a dictatorship." In response, the Lotus Party's Chatchai claimed that the bill was put forward to protect Indralan democracy from "extremist parties," clearly targeting the Communist Party in his comments. The rise in authoritarian and extremist messages from the radical opposition parties has concerned a number of Indralan academics. Yi Zetien, Associate Professor of political science at Indrala University wrote that "Indralan democracy is at greater threat with the Civic Forum and the Communist Party than at any point since the Pua Dictatorship ended in 4258." The results are as follow: ![]() With a second-to-last finish once again, Jiang Zongren apologised to his supporters during election night, yet does not announce any plans of changing leadership. Despite another disappointing results in the Civic Forum, the reformists and extremists have seemed to be appeased by the Party's decision to push for the Family Freedoms Act, a landmark legislation that calls for the legalisation of beastiality. According to sources from the inner circles of the party, Jiang was in fact reluctant to even support the legislation, even once refusing to speak for the controversial bill on the behalf of the party. Yet this has seemed to pay off as the reformists in the party has not issued any sort of warning or criticism towards Jiang. This party may, at last, be saved by compromise. On the general results of the election, Jiang stated that the government's retainment of a majority in the Assembly shows that the anti-establishment and republican parties must work harder to attract the support of voters across the nation. It seems, that the 'Centrist' label put on in the last few years has been peeled off, revealing the anti-establishment nature of the party, as a free market alternative of the Communist Party.
