Left-Green Dovani party leader, Choejor, commends on Pan-Dovanism, and "Dovani for Dovanians" rhetoric being spread amongst radicals in LGD; Choejor calls for "responsible Pan-Dovanism, not identity fortress thought".
--------------------------
June 3rd, 5714
--------------------------
As the Primaries for all parties in Xsampa loom for February's elections, Left-Green Dovani has been making grounds, as Pan-Dovani Sentiment has risen considerably ever since the century started. However, within the biggest Pan-Dovani party in Xsampa, there have been strong concerns from the Xsampan Right, such as the XIP and even from the left, with the CPX over rhetoric from radicals within the Xsampan Pan-Dovani Movement and especially a phrase that has garnered much criticism; "Dovani for Dovanians". It's often that radicals within the LGD, radicals who want encourage more integration and a strong commitment to keeping anyone out of Dovani will say that statement, as it concisely explains their goals. However, it's caused controversy from the right over if it's outright abandoning Xsampa, and from the left on if it abandons Internationalist Socialism, with both agreeing that if left unresolved, such rhetoric can find its way to foreign policy and alienate sympathetic and supportive allies.

This week, the party leader of Left-Green Dovani, comrade Choejor, has looked to address these concerns and clarify the official position of LGD.
Quote:I understand that we live in polarizing times, and imperialists look to prey on Dovani. I understand that we're all enthusiastic about the Dovani Union, and strengthing Dovani. However, I must remind all of our comrades, that Pan-Dovanism is for the cooperation of Dovani, not the creation of a pan-nationalist community. We risk alienating our allies during these troubling global times, and risk alienating those who support Pan-Dovanism outside of Dovani. We must embrace responsible, and pragmatic Pan-Dovanism. Not identity fortress thought. All that does, is in fact, weaken Dovani, and the Pan-Dovani Movement, and leave Dovani isolated and alone. We have allies abroad. We cannot afford to alienate them in the pursuit of a "Dovani Century". If we want to achieve a united Dovani, we must do so with optimism, cosmopolitanism, and above all, mutual understanding. If the Pan-Dovani Movement in Xsampa continues down the path of "Dovani for Dovanians", then we will find Dovani isolated, alone, and doomed. Left-Green Dovani will not stand for that. We will stand for responsible Pan-Dovanism, and mutual understanding with our allies and Dovani.

Expectedly, radicals within LGD had criticized the right wing turn of Choejor, believing that Choejor is simply willing to sell out Pan-Dovani to any hegemon that's friendly to Xsampa, with one saying "A hegemon with flowers is still a hegemon". Whatever the case, this is likely to reassure moderates who may have been anxious on voting for LGD over the comments. But, we'll likely find out more once the Primaries for LGD occur, and end.

People's Committee of Social Equality updates travel advisory for Queer Xsampans; Utaristan deemed "unsuitable for Queer Xsampans to visit".
-------------------------
December 12th, 5714
-------------------------
Often times, the People's Committee of Foreign Affairs and the People's Committee of Social Equality will cooperate on issuing travel advisories to foreign nations, with the PCFA looking at geopolitical realities, and the PCSE looking at social realities. This week however, after tragedy struck in Utaristan, the PCSE has looked to formally update its travel guidelines, most especially for Queer Xsampans. While Utaristan is a firm ally to Xsampa, both due to historical ties and the nation being a fellow workers republic, there have been concerns and qualms over the social conservative attitude seen in Utaristan, which frequently drew criticism from activists in Xsampa. Despite that, the official policy of the state has been to neither instruct nor guide, but support Utaristan in protecting their revolution, even despite the questionable social attitudes. But with the shooting in Utaristan, and the death of two Queer Utaristani, the People's Committee of Social Equality has confirmed that for Queer Xsampans looking to travel to Utaristan, it is generally discouraged and ill advised, as Utaristan has been deemed, for the time being at least, "unsuitable for Queer Xsampans to visit".

The People's Commissar of Social Equality, comrade Lhundrup Monpa was asked by the press on her thoughts regarding the situation, and being a Queer Xsampan herself, has shared her thoughts.
Quote:It's an absolute tragedy, what happened in Toguz. A tragedy that never should've happened to begin with. I can't speak for the state regarding what I hope happens in Utaristan, but I believe it would be criminal if I didn't instruct the PCSE to take steps necessary to ensure no Xsampans are harmed if they visit Utaristan. Our comrades in Utaristan deserve equality. Emancipation of the Proletariat means emancipation for everyone. Not just heterosexual cisgender Proletarians. I can't speak for why the Utaristani government hasn't stamped out social reactionaries, but the conditions of every Revolution is different. I just hope social reaction is curbed before more Innocents die for simply being themselves.

Most Xsampans find themselves in agreement with comrade Monpa, and equally as many have begun putting pressure on the Auclair Administration to potentially look into incentives to support Utaristan in moving away from social conservatism, and more towards true emancipation. But, it is worth noting that at the very least, the Utaristani government is looking into making efforts to shift social attitudes. Whatever the case, with elections in two months, it's likely that nothing can occur until elections are wrapped up. But, it's likely that this will certainly influence some PAX members come February.

Xsampa and New Verham sign the Altéa Accords; Reaffirming cooperation with Egelion.
----------------------------
December 28th, 5714
----------------------------
After weeks of negotiations between the (albeit small) Independent Social Democratic Party and the Xsampa Improvement Party, an agreement has been met. The ISDP will support a governing coalition with the XIP if they prevail in the February elections, and in exchange, Xsampa will join the Alteà Accords. This week, the Premier, Auclair and the President of New Verham, Jali Bukha, flew to Altéa to meet with their Egelian counterparts and sign the Altéa Accords. This, essentially means that both New Verham and Xsampa will reaffirm cooperation and friendship with Egelion. To the Xsampan public, this is less of a life defining treaty and more of a procedural treaty as the relationship between Xsampa and Egelion remains quite strong.

As the world changes ever so rapidly, Xsampa will ensure that it doesn't forget it's long standing relationships outside of Dovani, something that earned the approval of Left-Green Dovani. Overall, signing the Altéa Accords ensures that both Xsampa and New Verham will continue to remain cooperative with Egelion, who has consistently remained friendly to Dovani. Whatever the case, with New Verham attending, this also has the benefit of strengthing Pan-Dovanism. While it has caused controversy amongst radical Pan-Dovanists, who want continental pan-nationalism, who believe that this move is harmful, rather than helpful, with one notable radical, comrade Dorjee decrying it as "selling out Dovani for non Dovanians". While Dorjee holds significant sway amongst the radicals in the LGD, it's unlikely that he can mount a leadership challenge against the current direction of LGD. Whatever the case, signing the Altéa Accords is sure to provide more positives, as it provides tangible proof that Pan-Dovanism can thrive without falling into Pan-nationalism.

While there are rumours going on within the Dovani Union to properly define what Pan-Dovanism actually means, this is overall a positive development. Both for global peace, and for Dovani. Most certainly for Xsampa and New Verham.

Auclair prevails for a second term as LGD-XIP-SLP-ISDP Coalition forms; Red-Green Revolution on the menu.
-------------------------
February 15th, 5715
-------------------------
The 5715 elections have concluded, with the Xsampa Improvement Party emerging as the victor, forming a coalition with the ISDP, SLP and LGD. As such, Auclair, in her re inauguration speech confirmed that her second term would see a focus on energy sovereignty, and restoring the Red-Green Revolution, as well as generally keeping the status quo calm.

In terms of electoral results, let's take a look. Starting off with the CPX, they saw a gain of 3 seats, moving to 229 with a small swing of 0.5%. For XIP, also a 3 seat gain, moving to 171, with also a swing of 0.5%. And, despite the appeal of Pan-Dovanism and rhetoric from LGD, it seems that they only managed to secure one seat, moving to 70, with a swing of 0.2%. Better than a decline. And speaking of decline, the SLP fell by 11 seats, leaving it with only 37 seats, with a swing of -2%. For the DSLP, they fell to 5 seats, with a small swing of -0.4% as populism has struggled. The ISDP, has jumped from 5 seats to 7, with a swing of 0.4% as despite the party's small size, the ISDP is looking to secure the spot that the SLP used to hold over the centre. The SPX saw a jump from 3 seats to 11, with a swing of 1.4% as Centrist Meztism has gained credibility. LBP dropped from 16 seats to 15, losing one seat, with a swing of -0.2%. Rural voters have largely been swinging between Land and Bread, or going to XIP. The GNP dropped to 15 seats, with a swing of -0.4% as the social monarchist base has seen little expansion. Finally, the DPP which went from 4 seats to 3, with a swing of -0.2%, as the DPP remains minor. The final seat is of course, the institutionally required TUUL Seat.

Overall, the status quo has largely stayed for Xsampa. However, while LGD and the ISDP did see minor gains, they have found much more success in defining the narrative, as the ISDP did successfully lobby for Xsampa joining the Altéa Accords, and LGD has pushed hard for the restoration of the Red-Green Revolution, of which, it will be restored. Whatever the case, XIP looks to govern for another 5 years.

RE: Xsampa - Elena1012 - 02-03-2026

LGD Radical, Dorjee, criticizes party leadership; Cites centrist leadership is damaging Pan-Dovanism.
---------------------------
February 26th, 5715
---------------------------
With the 5715 elections concluding, the biggest thorn in the side of Left-Green Dovani, comrade Dorjee, the de facto face of the LGD Radicals (formally known as Maximalists) has managed to keep his seat and win re-election. Dorjee has made it to secret that he is a firm believer in the concept of "Dovani for Dovanians", and has been incredibly critical of the status quo of Left-Green Dovani, particularly holding extreme criticism for current party leader, Choejor (a member of the more centrist minded faction, the Realists), especially over the perceived rightwing shift that LGD has taken since Choejor was elected party leader, as seen with the Maximalists heavily criticism Choejor for distancing the party away from "Dovani for Dovanians" rhetoric. Combine that with the admittedly lackluster electoral performance of LGD, only securing one seat and even reports from Utaristan confirming that it will not join the DSO (due to the state having strong reservations over Egelion), and the Maximalist wing of the party has been very vocally upset.

For Dorjee however, he's taken no pause to criticize the party leadership, even now after the elections, believing that the centrist rightward shift has damaged Pan-Dovanism, and especially damaged the party's credibility amongst Pan-Dovani voters.
Quote: Disappointed is not strong enough of a word to describe how I feel towards party leadership. I feel angry. Upset. Betrayed. Vindicated. It's become clear that under comrade Choejar, Left-Green Dovani is stagnating. All the momentum we had in the elections, and suddenly we gain one seat? The party has turned to the right wing too much, and it's costing not just us, as a party, but the Pan-Dovani Movement! Xsampa has the unique responsibility of ensuring socialist states join the chorus of Pan-Dovanism, and what did we do? We turned our backs on Dovani, spat on it, and looked to Egelion! They may be our friends, but so what? They are not Dovanians. Dovani belongs to Dovanians. Not Artanian. Not Majatran. Not Seleyan. Not Kerisian. Dovanian. Something has to be done! The current leadership is ineffective and harming to the long term growth of the party. It's even caused the DSO to lose a potential state! Our Utaristani comrades are rightfully disgusted at this move and quite frankly, so am I. So should any righteous Pan-Dovanist. Left-Green Dovani under Choejor is selling out Dovani, not strengthing it.

Much to the annoyance of the rest of the party, the Maximalists have been very vocal, largely echoing what Dorjee has said, and while they can't launch a leadership challenge due to the latest one being last year, the Maximalists can most certainly make noise and be a nuisance to the rest of LGD.

Xsampan News in Brief; Aid to Midway and Utaristan as PCI Commissar apologizes for "misinformation" regarding the Altéa Accords.
------------------------
March 6th, 5715
------------------------
The People's Committee of Foreign Affairs has announced an expanded aid package to Utaristan, and Midway, with a focus on financial and material aid to assist Utaristan in economic development, and support Midway in economic recovery. With both countries looking to revive their economies, Xsampa is looking to provide aid and support to both countries during these times. Material aid and financial aid to Utaristan will be expanded to support our comrades in Utaristan on rebuilding from their revolution, and supporting the growth of our comrades, whilst aid to Midway will ensure that the newly achieved freedom in Midway will be protected, as well as encourage positive relations between Xsampa and Midway.

Questions of the New Hope Initiative being used on both countries have been raised and is currently under discussion by the PCFA, but so far, aid packages will continue to be the norm. The People's Commissar of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the aid packages will continue until the economic situation in both Utaristan, and Midway are adequate, and both states can sufficiently sustain themselves without risk.
------------------------
The People's Committee of Information has come under flak lately for reported misinformation regarding one of the latest articles, relating to Xsampa joining the Altéa Accords, in which there was criticism over the article framing the Accords as entirely Egelion dominant, when in reality, that is far from the case, and the Altéa Accords firmly focuses on equality between all signatory states, which are predominantly Seleyan.

To that end, the People's Commissar of Information, comrade Dawa has issued a public apology.
Quote: I'd like to be the first to apologize, not just on behalf of the entire Peoples Committee of Information, but also apologize for me neglecting my duties as People's Commissar. I'd like to formally apologize, both to our domestic readers, as the PCI should never misinform, and to our foreign readers, especially those in Seleya who felt slighted by this misprint. I will not blame any editors, or writers, nor will I blame the PC. I will take full responsibility. The PCI will do better. For our comrades at home, and for our comrades abroad. I promise that much.

National Grid Audit Act passes PAX; Preparing for a revival of the Red-Green Revolution.
-----------------------
March 3rd, 5716
-----------------------
With the Red-Green Revolution fresh in the minds of the Auclair Administration, the state has been slowly, but steadily, preparing an ambitious plan to revive the Red-Green Revolution, and actually make it achievable within a realistic timeframe. This week, PAX passed the National Grid Audit Act, as the first step for enacting the Red-Green Revolution will be to look at what progress already exists. After all, the Red-Green Revolution was enacted a century ago, and so Xsampa isn't starting from scratch. There already exists a small, but very noteworthy green energy sector, however it can be expanded and to do so, an audit of the energy grid is going to be necessary.

As such, engineers from across the country will be given an ambitious task. A full review and audit of the entire national energy grid. The goal is to identify transmission bottlenecks, unstable substations, rural grid weaknesses, urban load spikes, and renewable curtailment risks. A major (and very expensive) expansion of green energy cannot be allowed if risks occur. So the audit will occur, and is expected to most certainly last, at the very least two years, but expectations are being held for three years. Slow and steady, but something Xsampans are no strangers to.

Once this is concluded, the next step of the Renewed Red-Green Revolution will occur, as Phase 1 is expected to last, with a very generous estimate, up to 5735 and that's being generous. Of course however, several issues have already emerged. As ambitious as the Red-Green Revolution is, it is incredibly expensive and while Xsampa isn't limited by capitalist monetary mechanisms, the XIP is hesitant to blow a lot of People's Tangka's on an ambitious project that won't produce foreseeable results. And even then, it still will be incredibly expensive, and time consuming. And of course, Xsampa will need to aquire Rare Earth Metals/Minerals, which are equally expensive in the global market. Like any ambitious plan, it comes with great risks and great rewards. The risks? If it's too slow, history can repeat and the Red-Green Revolution dies once again, or alternatively, it simply becomes too expensive and we find ourselves with another Tsokling System Deficit. However if it succeeds, we have full energy sovereignty, cleaner air, high paying domestic jobs, and cheaper energy.

A look into the Exiled Monarchy; Where is the Lhanamseng Dynasty now?
[Image: NMY5HN7DVROWFFE6CJ6XNWN5GU.jpg?auth=2833...quality=80]
--------------------------
June 8th, 5716
--------------------------
When the Xsampan Revolution occured in 5317, the Royal and Serene Empire of Xsampa was quickly dissolved as fighting began between the northern Democratic Republic of Xsampa and the southern Serene Phodrang of Xsampa. Once a ceasefire came into place and the country was divided, the monarchy went into exile, as the North was, unsurprisingly, hostile to the monarchy, whilst the South believed that the monarchy had lost the right to rule, rejecting the monarchy aspect of the RSEX, and keeping the theocratic aspects. So, where did the monarchy go? To exile in Yingdala. But where are they now? Where is the Lhanamseng Dynasty now?

Well, they remain in exile in Yingdala (the exact location within Yingdala is undisclosed). But, the Lhanamseng's are particularly noteworthy in Exiled communities, particularly amongst the Restorations (both Absolutists and Constitutionalists), as it's not uncommon for the Lhanamseng's to support Restoration groups in what capacity they can (as the Lhanamseng Dynasty isn't exactly swimming in cash and largely kept afloat by donations from sympathetic groups). The current head of the Dynasty, one Kesang Lhanamseng, currently holds status as head of the dynasty, and while only in his 60s, does hold considerable sway amongst the Restorationist movement, both the Absolutists and Constitutionalists. Continuing what's arguably tradition at this point, that being denouncing the rightful legitimacy of the Democratic Republic, and claiming the title of "The Tsenpo of Xsampa", they are, by all accounts, irrelevant to the world beyond the Exile communities. Despite this, Kesang Lhanamseng does frequently visit Exile Communities in Kalistan and Yingdala. But because of how long it's been since a Lhanamseng has set foot on Xsampan soil, most things you'd expect of a monarchy, such as a court, have largely dissolved. Ultimately, a fate worthy of pity.

Whatever the case, the Lhanamseng's remain an interesting aspect of Xsampan history, but ultimately irrelevant as even Social Monarchist in Xsampa, most notably in the GNP, firmly opposed a Lhanamseng restoration, only endorsing the idea of allowing the Lhanamseng's to return if they give up their titles. Overall, most Xsampans are vaguely aware of the Lhanamseng's, and those who do know a lot often agree that the exiled Dynasty is simply irrelevant in every sense of the word. It's incredibly unlikely that the Lhanamseng's will ever return to the throne however, as socialism and republicanism retain strong support in Xsampa, and no country really recognizes a fading relic of the 5300s.

RE: Xsampa - Elena1012 - 10-03-2026

Shenlha Woekar Nyingpo of the SPX prevails in leadership challenge. SPX to shift more towards Xsampan-ized Kaminskism.
----------------------------
December 28th, 5617
----------------------------
Within the Socialist Party of Xsampa, one of the splinters from the SLP, it's a party largely for academics and the intelligencia, mostly for Xsampans focused on theory. So, the party has largely attracted Centrist Metzists, instead of Participatory Metzists, Socialists, or Leonidists. However, beyond attracting Centrist Meztists, the SPX has attracted Xsampan-ized Kaminskists, based off the formerly existing minor party (largely relegated to the Chunglakha Canton), the Socialist Unity League, a Kaminskist party that largely failed to ever enter PAX. Until the SLP fracturing, Kaminskists have largely been politically homeless until this week, where a leadership challenge occured within the Socialist Party of Xsampa, as the current party leader, Sangey, chose to resign to step away from politics and focus on his family.

With that in mind, it led to a leadership challenge with numerous SPX members looking to become party leader. However, victory would go to the party's Left, with comrade Shenlha Woekar Nyingpo being elected as leader of the Socialist Party of Xsampa. A firm Kaminskist (Albeit with some tweaks to survive in Xsampa's political enviromental), SWN has been a strong internal critic of the party, and especially the wider Xsampan foreign policy. For his party critiques, SWN has argued that the SPX is falling into the trap of institutional stagnation. Even if the party is minor, it must be active. SWN has been particularly critical of the SPX for having voted in favour of joining the Altéa Accords last year, but has also been critical to the Dovani Union, of which he believes both to be inherently capitalist institutions that cannot be entrusted to the longevity of the Global Revolution. He has commonly arguing that the "Revolution is supposed to transform the world, not be managed or left in one country".

The biggest claim to fame that SWN has however, is being a Xsampan-ized Kaminskist, being a firm supporter of Permanent Revolution Theory, and has called for stronger ties with socialist states, and less toleration of capitalism. Which leads to his most notable critiques; foreign policy. SWN has gone far in claiming that under the current status quo, global socialism is being strangled, and while Xsampa may survive, the Revolution is a global project, one that cannot wait for the "right" circumstances. Despite being party leader however, SWN cannot easily transform the SPX into a Kaminskist party, but he can push it in the right direction.

Whatever the case, the SPX remains a firm minor party and largely a small voice in PAX. It's unlikely that Kaminskism will become mainstream in wider Xsampan politics. But anything can happen.

Monlam Aurousseau and the New Line wing of the CPX; An Aurousseau that rejects the mainstream wings?

If you ask any Xsampan, "who's the most notable CPX figure?", they'd answer either Gurmey Aurousseau, or Sherab Aurousseau. And it's no surprise, since the Aurousseau family has long been associated with the CPX. Because of this, they'd often be associated with the mainstream wings of the CPX, either the Moderate Neo-Socialists or the Improvement Consensus. However, Monlam Aurousseau, who has recently entered politics, has rejected both factions, despite their invitations to build goodwill, and instead, Monlam Aurousseau has found himself in the New Line wing, a wing of the party that ranges from Council Communists to Xsampan Leonidists. Monlam Aurousseau has wasted no time making it clear that he has a considerable amount of disagreements with how Xsampa is currently operating, most especially how it politically operates, and economically operates, arguing that the current iteration of Market Socialism has drifted far towards complacency, undermining worker control of the economy in favour of a slow descent into state capitalism. When asked on his solution to this supposed problem, Monlam Aurousseau has looked to the Left, arguing in favour of worker councils being empowered heavily and economic restructuring.

While the CPX and the Aurousseau's have a special relationship, this hasn't stopped many from criticizing Monlam Aurousseau for his "wreckless criticisms", mostly from the Moderate Neo-Socialist wing. Especially over the more "bold" reforms that Monlam Aurousseau has endorsed, such as merging the Premier and Custodian into a single entity. However, by aligning with the New Line faction, Monlam Aurousseau has essentially kneecapped his influence in the party, even with name recognition. Despite this, Monlam Aurousseau has not conceded ground, much to the Central Committee's disappointment.

Fortunately for the CPX however, this controversy has largely stayed within the party, as other political parties have not commented on it, both out of respect to the Aurousseau's, and simply as political tradition. But, it does expose a wider pattern. Dorjee with the LGD Maximalists, SWN with the SPX and now Monlam Aurousseau within the CPX. All three have one thing in common. Dissatisfaction with the status quo, and a feeling that in one way or another, Xsampa is compromised or has been compromised by the forces of capitalism, and that Xsampa has focused too much on pleasing the world, instead of supporting and strengthing socialism.

Whatever the case, it remains to be seen if Monlam Aurousseau will be able to have much influence in the CPX, or be an Aurousseau who doesn't become Premier. But judging by his decision to align with the New Line wing, the answer is certainly leaning towards a long term lack of influence.
