RE: Luthori - Ligbruderkrieg - 08-03-2026 ![]() ![]() What will be Holian-Keaty's legacy as he leaves office? 18 September 5715 Prime Minister Holian-Keaty has resigned as Prime Minister and Labour party leader. Now stands the infamous question of his legacy as Prime Minister, long criticised for his “moderate” credentials within the Labour Party has nonetheless pushed for numerous reforms during his premiership, although has also been criticised for his lack of efforts on other fields, such as the judiciary, a long struggle for the Luthorian left, which has continously wished for the abolishment of the death penalty. While the death penalty is still present within Luthorian law, the last execution was held in 5677, when Marwa Jirokugi was executed following his death sentence after the murder of two Luthorian-born Mordusian students. Since then, no death sentences were promulgated upon any criminal indicted by Luthorian law enforcement. The government aimed at passing the Death Penalty (Restriction of Usage) Bill, 5609, a proposed law aimed at restraining the usage of penalty to merely acts of espionage, treason and sedition, while removing the threat of the death penalty for murder cases. Prime Minister Holian-Keaty and Justice Secretary Taylor Shawn pushed heavily for the bill to be passed in Parliament. It passed the Imperial Diet smoothly in the Imperial Diet, where the large Labour majority easily passed the bill, unfortunately it stalled in the House of Peers, where debates stalled for over a year as Conservative peers tried their best to avoid the bill from becoming law. The bill’s fate was sealed following the resignation in disgrace of Secretary Shawn over a controversial corruption scandal in 5711 – and the House of Peers rejected the bill. Prime Minister Holian-Keaty tried to reach out for a compromise with the Tories in the Peers, as his own left-wing faction was in open revolt in the Diet, but to no avail. Critics argue that the Prime Minister should have pressed on the subject, as he disposes a large array of powers to force the Peers to concede to his proposed reforms, such as asking the Emperor to appoint more peers to tilt the balance of the House in his favour, although it does goes against Mr. Holian-Keaty's character, which has built himself as a strict believer in the unwritten Luthorian constitutional model and has distanced himself from this sort of political power-play, which he argues are “coming out straight of the little populist’s guide to subdue democracy”. A failure to engage in subsential judicial reform through the rejection of the Death Penalty Bill was coupled with the failure of the government and the provinces to secure a compromise on a substantial increase in the minimum wage, the government tried to push a policy of a major increase from £12.11 to £15, but the right-wing governments of Orange, Middenriding and Northriding rejected directly this proposal, which, they argued was “economic suicide” - the left-wing governments in Erneshire and Shipleyriding, while more sympathetic to the Prime Minister’s agenda also had reservations. The Labour Party’s disappointing performance in the 5710 local elections, notably in Shipleyriding, where they were forced into a coalition with the Liberal Alliance (local party, affiliated with the national Liberal Party), greatly moderating their platform. Due to the failure of what was dubbed the “Stephen Port Summit” - the Prime Minister was forced into a bitter compromise with right-wing Labour elements, which merely increased the minimum wage to £13.11 per hour. His economic agenda wasn’t always met with failures however, the appointment of Dr. Patrick Doll as Governor of the Bank of Luthori, granted a sympathetic actor in the Bank of Luthori for the Labour economic agenda. The Prime Minister’s agenda was also met with a milestone in foreign policy – for the first time ever, a Luthorian government apologised for its role in the colonialisation of Dovani. Following Emperor William’s lead in the few months following his elections, the Prime Minister encouraged the creation of the “Luthori-Dovani Reconciliation Fund”, spearheaded by his foreign minister, Dr. Henry Schnee. Schnee also oversaw a major change in Luthorian foreign policy, by placing “human rights” and “peaceful development of relations” first through the “PEAK” doctrine. The Prime Minister also led a deepening comprehension of Luthori’s role in MATO through the appointment of Defence Secretary Peterson in 5713. Peterson oversaw the deployment of Luthorian forces in fellow MATO allied state of Amudim, in Sholemberg, through negotiations with local officials to allow for Luthorian deployment in the area. This move solidified Luthori’s security ties with its MATO allies. In retrospect, the Prime Minister’s legacy on Luthorian politics is difficult to understand, on one hand, he represents the first left-wing prime minister in over three decades, on the other hand, his premiership disappointed many on the left and angered many right-wing voters. His policy failures, specifically concerning the death penalty have been described as “betrayals” of the progressive cause, leading to long steady decline in his popularity. Furthermore, his shift on defence policy, he who was a long opponent of the Conservatives’ defence-focused policy, angered many on his left-wing flank, leading to numerous disputes between the leadership and the left-wing activists inside Labour. For his supporters, his legacy will be one of a progressive champion – who challenged the long-held ideals deep rooted inside Luthori’s consciousness as he arrived following three decades of Conservative dominion over the government. For his opponents, his premiership represented either a decline in Luthorian norms or represented a lost opportunity to change things radically – with opponents claiming that Holian-Keaty's moderation “doomed” Luthori to see “any meaningful change in over 10 years in government”. RE: Luthori - Ligbruderkrieg - 08-03-2026 ![]() In a rather unsurprising turn of events, it seems that Dr. Henry Schnee, Foreign Secretary since 5608 and the return of the National Labour Party to government, has been selected as the leader of the Labour Party and is poised to become Luthori’s newest prime minister – the fourth one in Emperor William’s reign. A close partner of Prime Minister Holian-Keaty, it seems that this leadership election was a confirmation of the outgoing Premier’s lingering influence over a party he led over nearly two decades. Number 10 congratulated Mr. Schnee, with the Prime Minister’s Office welcoming a “candidate bringing experience and stability” to the premiership. The Prime Minister was privately stated to have been “delighted” with the result of the leadership contest. Over twelve (12) candidates opposed each other in this contest – in a race that many newspapers described as a “free for all, God for everyone”, former cabinet ministers such as the former Transport Secretary and current head of Imperial Railways, Sam Bond, current local leaders such as the Erneshire Minister-President, Joachim Pollarson and many other candidates stood opposed in this race for the ages. Indeed, it was the first time that the NLP saw a real leadership since Holian-Keaty's own election in 5699, 16 years ago. The campaign was short – due to instruction from the current leadership board, to “speed up the electoral process to allow a swift and smooth transition of leadership,” this instruction was denounced by some candidates such as Mr. Bond, who denounced an “illegitimate power-grab attempt by pro-government forces.” Rather than the 45-day campaign normally organised, it was shortened to 21 days only, after a party decision on 20 September. When the numerous provincial delegations were voted upon, it was clear that Mr. Schnee had emerged as the victor of the night, but why? As Foreign Secretary, he placed himself as the candidate in favour of “stability” and “responsible governance”, as compared to the less known candidates in this race, besides he stressed towards a younger, progressive audience, his credentials as the man who led Luthori towards recognition of its colonial past and the creation of a new foreign policy doctrine, distancing itself from Tory dogmatism. It seems to have paid off as the government’s number two is now destined to become the new prime minister. In his victory speech, he stated that he was “honoured” by the “task ahead” of him and that he and his future team would “get to work immediately to answer the aspirations of the Luthorian people,” he also internally promised to immediately dissolve the Imperial Diet, six months ahead of the general election date in April. He stressed this choice internally as being the “right way” to “reunite a broken party” following a bitter electoral campaign for the leadership position and inspire confidence on his leadership abilities as Prime Minister. RE: Luthori - Ligbruderkrieg - 08-03-2026 ![]() Only 3 days after having been appointed as head of government, Prime Minister Schnee requested His Imperial Majesty to dissolve the Imperial Diet at the “earliest convenience” - the Imperial Household released a statement declaring that the Emperor granted that request and dissolved the Imperial Diet and summoned the organisation of elections for the 477 MPs in the Diet for November 29. In a later address, the Prime Minister justified his choice of going to the polls by wishing to “grant the Luthorian people the ability to either confirm or refute his leadership” by organising an election. This move was applauded by Cabinet members and Labour Party members, who described the move as a “daring step” by the Prime Minister. Critics on both the right and the left have argued about the “cynical” nature of the dissolution of the Diet – upon entering office, Prime Minister Schnee enjoyed high approval ratings, Roy Peters Ratings released a poll where it was shown that, out of a sample of 1.540 Luthorians, 64% had a positive opinion of the new Prime Minister. These favourable reviews seemingly emboldened him to dissolve Parliament on the first days of his premiership. Currently, the Labour Party is projected to secure a moderate majority in the Diet, strengthening the Prime Minister’s political capital and control over his political party. Recent polling placed Labour ahead with 246 and 272 seats in the Diet, while the Tories come in second with 197 to 207 seats, slowly advancing, but nonetheless remaining in their role as the official opposition. Coming in third, stands the Green Party, which overtook the Liberals in an upsetting poll for the third political formation in Luthorian politics – currently projected to secure between 22 to 31 seats in the Diet, pollsters described the Greens’ popularity as a “source of concern” for the Labour Party, which numbers with the younger, progressive electorate decline significantly with the arrival of this new left-wing political force at the front row of Luthorian politics. The Luthorian Polling Analytics described the chance of a Labour-led majority government to be 4 chances out of 5. RE: Luthori - Ligbruderkrieg - 08-03-2026 ![]() The National Labour Party has successfully maintained its large majority in the Imperial Diet and Dr. Henry Schnee is now poised to remain as Luthorian Prime Minister, his authority within the party now strengthened. Following his appointment as Prime Minister by His Imperial Majesty – Prime Minister Schnee, only 3 days into the job, requested to the Sovereign the dissolution of the Imperial Diet, a request which was granted by Emperor William XI. After a short campaign season of 45 days, the election results saw Schnee’s NLP secure a commanding majority in the lower house. The Prime Minister, in a triumphant victory speech thanked the Luthorian people for their “renewed confidence” in the National Labour Party. He moreover reiterated his commitment to “social justice and progressive values,” two themes which will be central to his administration, according to one of his aides. Mr. Schnee’s electoral victory wasn’t surprising to most analysts, indeed, he dissolved Parliament in a time where his popularity was high due to the breath of fresh air he brought to Luthorian politics following the resignation of his predecessor. Schnee, 51, became Luthori’s prime minister following his remarkable victory at the Labour leadership election – promising to remain a “stable and careful” leader as he entered 10 Crown Street as Luthori’s newest chief executive. It seems that these promises have seduced the Luthorian public, as Labour under his leadership maintained its majority in the Diet, securing 252 seats in the lower house and 39.7% of the popular vote. Meanwhile, the official opposition in the Conservative Party won 176 seats and 32.2% of the popular vote, a result widely regarded as being “disappointing” for opposition leader, Jake Sullivan who nonetheless proclaimed that he was going to remain as Tory leader for “as long as it was needed,” The Green Party usurped the Liberal Party’s traditional place as the third political force in Luthorian politics, due largely to pick-ups from traditional Labour seats in city centres, the Greens achieved an impressive result of 20 seats and 14.9% of the popular vote. Green Party leader, Tobias Pachuski hailed the victory as one for “the preservation of long-sought freedoms and the expansion of social justice programs throughout the nation,” this unexpected success was seen as a “wake-up” call for the Labour Party, whose progressive voter base in the cities voted for the greens instead due to disaffection with current Labour leadership and policy-making. The Liberals saw their most disappointing result to date, only winning 13 seats and winning 10.6% of the popular vote, with Liberal leader, Erik Stanbridge announcing his resignation as leader immediately following the election results were projected. The Liberals face a difficult struggle as their irrelevancy in national politics become an ever-greater threat in the future. Finally, both the Hosian People’s Party and the Left Party won 8 seats each in the Imperial Diet, representing the best result for the radical left in any general election, but also a disappointing performance for the radical right-wing political formation, which placed former Prime Minister Holian-Keaty at the centre of its campaign, his replacement by Dr. Schnee at Number 10 changed the political arena radically. Prime Minister Schnee has announced his intention of “carrying on his predecessor’s calm and steady leadership style,” but has also vowed to “make sure that your voices (Labour voters) were heard at Darlington Palace.” The former head of government’s resignation honours appointed over 30 new peers in the House of Peers, all aligned with the Labour Party. RE: Luthori - Ligbruderkrieg - 10-03-2026 ![]() How ramen, a Sekowan dish, changed Luthorian cuisine and remains a symbol of multiculturalism? December 5716 Ramen, an elaborate noddle recipe originating from Gao-Showan cuisine, officially became one of Luthori’s most favourite dishes, according to an informal poll from the Luthorian-based Culinary World magazine. Ramen now stands at the 15th place in that poll, a subtle message among how multiculturalism shaped Luthorian customs and overall culinary taste. Ramen is originally a Sekowan dish, composed of noodle, (usually chicken – but can be meat or fish) broth, tare (a sauce used to flavor the broth) and usually served with numerous toppings, usually any type of meat (even if pork is privileged), vegetables or other forms. Exported in Luthori through Sekowan immigrants and their later descendents, Luthorian-type ramen changes from its original conception. Indeed, some toppings are usually privileged in Luthorian culture due to the different climate between Seko and Luthori. Products such as eggs, corn, fried chicken breast, beef are usually used as topping, replacing traditional Sekowan elements, changing this meal into a uniquely Luthorian product – one that has conquered the hearts and minds of Luthorians, or more specifically, their stomachs. Culinary World’s comments stated how ramen became, step by step, a cherished product of Luthorian cuisine, even as Gao-Showan cuisine is treated as an exotic pleasure by Luthorians, not a day-to-day culinary habit. For the magazine, it’s one of the “most showing examples of how immigration and cultural fusion changed the customs of Luthorian readers.” Today in Fort William, we can find numerous ramen shop throughout the metropolis, specifically in the City of Fort William and nearby Darlington, two of the busiest quarters in the entire capital, due to their hosting of both government and financial institutions and numerous businesses. In Darlington alone, over 21 ramen shops are competiting against each other – with prices even reaching as low as £7.25 in some restaurants. “Luthorian work culture has also a thing to do with the success of ramen,” said nutrition history specialist at the Saint Micheal’s Hosian Hospital, Dr. Lloyd Logne, he added “Luthorians are mostly happy with ramen due to the quick nature of the meal, in over 15-25 minutes, they’ve finished their meal and are free to go back to their offices to finish the day, of course it is if they are alone.” In the case that they aren’t “...then 30–45-minute meal with colleagues is more than enough to eat well, for a reasonable price and with the sensation of being full.” An unfortunate addition of the already highly criticised Luthorian work ethic? Many do not see it that way, indeed, according to a study from the National Data Research Center, more than half the Luthorians agree that a 35-minute lunch is in “the norm”, while only 16% consider it for a 15-minute lunch. “Even if ramen is here”, said nutrionnist George Cooper “...it didn’t change how long Luthorians take to eat, not will it likely ever do...,” arguing that Luthorian work culture leaves more than “enough” time for lunch break, usually between 45 minutes and 80 minutes (1h20). Ramen, alongside Homeland Pie from Amudim and other meals seems to have changed the Luthorian mindset towards foreign cuisine and customs. With immigrant populations shaping the Luthorian way of life and culture, in their own, personal and highly interesting way. RE: Luthori - Ligbruderkrieg - 10-03-2026 ![]() ![]() News | Luthori Rail workers across Luthori engages in general strike over unsufficient wages and discontent. February 13, 5717 Prime Minister Schnee’s government might face another issue on their hand. Amid declining influence and weakening following in recent decades, trade unions haven’t seen their best days. Citing discontent with the “unfair” treatment of immigrant workforce and complaints with salary and bonuses being undercutted, with corporate citing “monetary concerns” as to justify their decision, major railroad trade unions have announced their intention of going on “undetermined general strike”, with the main on March 1 with a demonstration in Fort William. It was announced in a joint statement, with Luthori’s main railroad unions – UnionRail, National Railroad Workers’ Cooperative (NRWC), the National Union for Rail Workers (NURW) and the Luthorian Transport Workers’ Federation (LTWF) being a part of this declaration. “Workers are being treated like shit,” one LTWF spokesperson bluntly said to the press, he stated that “wages have been in total decline for over numerous decades, and we’ve seen the inability, or rather, lack of will, from this government to alieviate our situation.” he continued. When asked about the fact that Prime Minister Schnee had pledged to “look into their situation, as soon as possible” - when he was asked about their plight during a campaign event, he became a little frustrated, saying that “politicians, with their endless promises, we’ve been promised the same thing by fr. Prime Minister Holian-Keaty, with nothing to show to our members, you think that a simple promise will be enough?” Luthori’s railway system is currently divided up between numerous companies, notably, the public-owned Imperial Railways (IR) and other private-owned corporations, such as the Central Railway Corporation (CRC), Coastline Rail (CR), Western Luthorian Transport (WLT). Each of these operating a portion of the extended Luthorian railway network. Today’s controversy started with the Western Luthorian Transport company announcing the suppression of over 345 posts in a large layoff plan aimed at stabilising the company’s finances, the plan also contained the cancellation of numerous local routes, deemed unprofitable by company executives. Protestors demand an immediate session of “extensive” negotiations between unions and corporate officials over the company’s future, the immediate halting of the controversial austerity plan, an immediate revaluation of all salaries for “more fairness in payment” No official from either large transport groups have accepted to answer our questions. Politically, Schnee’s government plays detente, calling the strikes “an important part of Luthorian freedom for fair pay and fair representation” - even as Labour’s role in the trade union has gradually been declining and the party has faced criticism over earlier attempts to distance themselves from such activities. Prime Minister Schnee himself said that the “declaration of intent of a general strike might negatively impact users on a day-to-day basis,” he nevertheless added that “workers deserved their fair share and must be a part of a company’s decision-making process.” Al Hilal ("The Crescent") is a subsidiary of the Al Hilal Media Network, a global non-profit news organization covering global news and affairs, with a particular focus on the Ahmadi world. RE: Luthori - Ligbruderkrieg - 11-03-2026 ![]() Strikes continues on railways, with no signs of either side backing off - 2 months later. April 5717 2 months have followed the declaration of a “general strike” for rail workers across the nation. The Luthorian rail network has worked in a very slow pace – according to the Bureau of Labour Statistics, over 60% of the total workforce, regardless of company, followed in the movement in its first days. The March 1st demonstrations in Fort William rallied over 9.000 people, according to police sources, while organisers claimed that over 24.000 had heard their call. Luthorian Prime Minister Henry Schnee originally adopted a neutral position on the social conflict, offering vague statements of sympathy to the strikers, since the start of the strike in late February, it seems that Crown Street shifted its support from the “peaceful and reasonable” settlement of the conflict between businesses and strikers to an “uncompromising” pro-worker settlement. “We’ve come to the conclusion that it would be unconceivable for our government to allow the status quo to continue,” Industry Secretary Jay Stampford said in an interview to the LBC. While the March 1st demonstrations were widely applauded by being “peaceful” by many observers, including Conservative Party officials at Darlington Palace, recent protests have meanwhile been observed as being “increasingly violent” by police officials. Teargassing protests and police-protester fights became common in some areas – leading to the arrests of many protestors. Erneshire’s Minister-President, Joseph Coey (ECP*) recently slammed the “unpatriotic” behaviour of some protestors in an interview with the Financial Inquirer, “we’ve faced increased issues due to the rising violence in once-peaceful demonstrations, these violences are unfortunately encouraged by a rising, vocal minority of communist agitators, who wish nothing but seem trouble in otherwise peaceful demonstrations.” Nonetheless, at Number 10, frustration among both unions and businesses’ inability to find a “reasonable compromise” in the eyes of the Prime Minister begin to run hot – privately, the Prime Minister seemingly criticised the big railway companies for being “unable to comprehend the plight of the common man,” he added that “all they care is merely profits, they don’t care about anyone at all!” These comments were immediately rebuffed by Imperial Railways’ spokesperson who said that the Prime Minister’s “dangerous rhetoric” endangered negotiations with union representatives. Crown Street refused to comment on the Prime Minister’s statement but later stated that “His Majesty’s Government continues to encourage all parties to reach a settlement which would answer, proportionally and accordingly, to the strikers’ most reasonable demands,” on a post to social media. A shift in rhetoric which could seemingly either completely stall negotiations as unions feel emboldened by direct government support or force the Schnee government to act as an intermediary. As always, the common people, those who are directly impacted by the strikes are left completely abandoned by politicians at Darlington. Numerous railway connections remain closed due to the lack of personnel and regular users are forced to search for alternatives. The issue has been visible in the countryside, where the regular usage of cars has skyrocketed in numerous rural locations. In the small village of Perry, linked to Middenriding’s two largest cities through a direct line, inhabitants have been left with no solution as the strikes drags by. “We don’t have any alternative left,” said one anonymous everyday rail user. “This area is not well-served by everyday transports, the rail line from Middenhall to Martwick is our only link to our jobs in the cities,” he continued. “No replacement has been planned for over 2 months, and the line continues to work, albeit in a very slowed manner.” According to the Central Railway Corporation (CRC) which operates the line, there is merely 1 train out 5 normally – due to the strikes, leaving only a few personnel present to continue the operations in the area. As Luthori's longest strike to date continues - it seems likely that, due to the government's own inflammatory rhetoric and other issues related to the Luthorian unions - that the Luthorian people, the real loser of this so-called "bitch" fight will merely continue to be just that, losers, as no agreement is reached. *ECP: Erneshire Conservative Party - Erneshire's current ruling political party, following its victory in the 5616 Erneshire elections, acts as the Conservative and Nationalist Party's branch in Erneshire. RE: Luthori - Ligbruderkrieg - 15-03-2026 ![]() ![]() Government-led negotiations reach compromise solution – rail workers celebrate as unions strengthen their position. May 5717 (backdated) It seems that the Prime Minister’s intervention, launched in the latest weeks of the now 3-month-long railway strike that has shocked the nation has finally bore fruits, with the government, railway corporations and unions having announced that a compromise has been reached on strikers’ revendications, concluding what has become Luthori’s longest social crisis to date. Privately, the Prime Minister, Dr. Henry Schnee expressed frustration at the drawn-out struggle between corporations and unions over the nationwide railway strikes. In Fort William alone, the high-speed rail network was heavily disturbed last week, with liaisons such as Fort William-Ernebourugh-Alchester high-speed rail only having their services assured by 1 train out of 4 normally. This situation was tolerated for a while, but as police forces clashed with protestors on the May 1 demonstration for International Labour’s Day – leaving 23 wounded among the protestors, 756 arrests in Fort William alone and 3 wounded inside police forces, it seems that Number 10’s patience has, finally, ran thin. Cabinet ministers proposed through informal communication channels that the government acts as an “independent mediator” between the rail corporations and transport trade unions. Prime Minister Schnee later described this mediation proposal in the Imperial Diet as a “necessary push to end the crisis.” The government appointed former Prime Minister, Edward Holian-Keaty to act as an intermediary and as the highest-ranking government officials in these negotiations. The ex-Prime Minister, who accepted to come out of retirement in favour of his successor, said that it was a “great honour” to “continue serving his nation” even as his term was over. Following 4 rounds of intense negotiations between corporate officials and union representatives, the former Prime Minister proclaimed yesterday that an agreement has been found between all parties. This agreement planned for the revalorisation of numerous wages – the former PM having called it a “landmark achievement” for “all workers across the nation” The compromise included a full return to work by a week, the increase of all salaries by 9% by all private corporations and 7% by Imperial Railways, alongside an increase of bonuses for company employees being promised by the public company’s board to compensate. It also included the representation, at varying degrees, of unions into the company’s board of directors – a presence, which for the ex-PM will guarantee that “workers do get fair representation in their company’s decisions”. Union representations in the board of directors will vary between 5 to 7% depending on the private company, while Imperial Railways, the state-owned railway company has been exempted from such a change. Unions describe a “victory” - one that hasn’t happened in over “hundred years” for the Luthorian labour movement, corporations take a sigh of relief, as the most worrying labour crisis in Luthorian history has finally ceased – with limited concessions on their part. The Prime Minister’s Office released a statement regarding the “satisfying outcome” in the railway strike, praising the former PM for his “effective work” on the matter. RE: Luthori - Ligbruderkrieg - 15-03-2026 ![]() The Imperial Household confirmed today that Emperor William XI and Empress Victoria would be travelling abroad in a state visit and that said state visit would be a first in history. For the first time in recent history, a Luthorian monarch will visit the Kingdom of Egelion in an official capacity. While Emperor William’s late mother was of Egelian descent, being the daughter of former Royal Counsellor Victoria Mongradon – both Emperor Richard II and Empress Valeria only visited Egelion in a private capacity, specifically invoking “family reasons” to travel to the nation. Following the death of the Empress Emerita in 5703 at 100 – and the controversy surrounding the portrayal of the House of Orange-Villayn by Egelian media led to a cooling down of relations, a fact that was reinforced by Luthori’s ascension into MATO and Egelion spearheading the signature of the Altéa Accords – widely seen as a response from Egelian diplomats to the formation of the Majatran-Artanian Treaty Organisation. His Imperial Majesty’s state visit is hoped to restore some goodwill in bilateral relations between the two rising powers. Emperor William will meet with his Egelian counterpart, Emperor Leon Alexander (47) at the Villamor Palace, the official residence of Egelian monarchs. The Emperor of Luthori is fluent in Luthorian (father tongue), Egelian (mother tongue), Canrillaise (through Luthorian education system) and Dundorfian (fourth language). Such skills are hoped to ensure a smooth conversation between the two monarchs while in the visit. Emperor Leon Alexander is also a third-generation cousin of Emperor Richard II, both descending from Empress Audrey through, on one part, Queen Alicia of Egelion (known as Princess Alice at birth), who Empress Audrey’s granddaughter through her second-born daughter, Princess Alexandra and through the bloodline of Empress Katherine, the Empress’ eldest daughter for the other. Empress Audrey is the great-great-grandmother of both Emperor William XI and Emperor Leon Alexander, making the Egelian monarch having Luthorian blood in his veins. While neither Emperor Richard II nor Emperor William XI made an official visit to Egelion, both have gone to Egelion multiple times, notably to meet with the Empress-Mother's family in the country. RE: Luthori - Ligbruderkrieg - 29-03-2026 ![]() It’s safe to state that the Luthori-Dovani Reconciliation Fund, speerheaded by then-Foreign Secretary Schnee (now Prime Minister) has been an abject and total failure. The Holian-Keaty government’s aim was to create a program of economic collaboration between Luthori and former colonial possessions in the Eastern Dovani Seaboard (Dovani, Temania and Vascania). Unfortunately, after a few years and negotiations stalled over its enactment with Dovani states – the Luthorian government ultimately “pulled the plug” out of the program, announcing its dismantlement by the end of the year. Criticised as a “waste of money” by numerous opposition and right-wing critics and fiercely criticised by some Pan-Dovanianists as an expansion of “western influence” upon the continent – the Holian-Keaty gov’t nonetheless stressed the “goodwill” nature of the initiative. They mostly focused on showing the good that would have come from a collaboration between Luthorian and Dovanian economic actors – pointing out at the successful collaboration between these same actors in the past. Unfortunately for the former and current prime ministers, it seems that it didn’t convince anyone to join in, as the prime minister was forced to concede that the “program was already dead weight” as he entered office in 5715. The Leader of the Opposition and the Tory Party made it a focal point in their electoral campaign. Jay Parkford, Conservative leader promised to “get rid of unnecessary wasteful spending” in government finances. His point was specifically targeted at the Luthori-Dovani Reconciliation Fund, which he saw as a “total embarrassment” for a state such as Luthori. During his campaign speeches, he specifically targeted what he saw as the “Dovani victim mentality” and the government’s weakness in countering it. “Why should we pay for the crimes made by people not remotely associated with the Imperial Government and give money to regimes that clearly have a victim mentality in squeezing in the last drop of Western capital because they are salty. Especially as massacres and crimes have been done by Dovanian states among each other. Do I see them asking reparations? There's a saying that goes: Something is bad in Dovani? Blame the West. [...] They use this excuse as a cover-up for the more staggering failures,” he told the crowd during an energetic crowd during a campaign speech in Alchester, where the Tories drew over 20.000 people in one of the largest declarations of the campaign. Foreign Secretary Oliver Heart today confirmed that the program was getting terminated on December 31st – finally expressing his “deepest regrets” over the ultimate failure of the initiative.
