RE: Dundorf - TheNick - 26-01-2025 ![]() Schumacher Visits Xsampa and Announces Reconstruction Help November 5606 DUNBURG - We have accompanied the Foreign Minister, Alexander Schumacher, to Bajoum, the interim capital of Xsampa, in the first international trip that any Dundorfian government official has made to the country post-nuclear bombing. The Minister met with General-Secretary Rabgyal Bhutia and surveyed the state of Xsampan infrastructure, and also surveyed the situation in Metz-Leonid after the bombing, doing so safely in an helicopter ride. In a press conference, Schumacher revealed that the purpose of today's travel was to offer the Xsampan government a framework of reconstruction, particularly relating to infrastructure, with which Dundorf will try to help a country that has always maintained warm relations with us. The Minister said: Quote:You welcomed our tourists for a long time and treated us in a special way, for a long time. It's time for Dundorf to show its gratitude. This framework includes financial assistance, to help with the roads, expertise coming from the Schools of Engineering of several universities, and special help to restore full operativity of the railways. In the future, the manifacturing company specialized in train-making, DUT, will also consider devlivering new trains to replace the older ones delivered decades ago, in the meantime, trains destroyed during the bombing will be replaced for free, subsidized by the Federal Government as a form of aid. - @NordenhausenAllgemeineZeitung RE: Dundorf - TheNick - 04-02-2025 ![]() Foreign Minister Welcomes Haldor's Invitation March 5611 Dunburg, Oderveld - Foreign Minister Alexander Schumacher confirmed to the press this morning that the Foreign Office has accepted a proposal for a conference hosted by Dorvik, that will feature the partecipation of other powers such as Luthori and N&D. The conference, as presented by the Dorvish Government, will offer an opportunity for Artanian governments to come together and discuss jointly about the current situation in the continent and discuss grounds for future cooperation. In particular, what most concerns our country is the negative effect on trade that the civil war in Kundrati and the following "coldening" of bilateral relations has brought, and the Foreign Minister fully expects Kundrati to be part of the conversation when the Conference is held.
The concern for Kundrati isn't only felt in Dunburg: last December, the Empire of Kalistan issued a call to several nation, Dundorf included, to deal with increased bellicose attitude carried by Kasaema, who launched last summer a missile attack against our friend Xsampa. Mr. Schumacher released a brief statement supporting Xsampa, and welcoming the Empress of Kalistan's remarks: Quote:We fully condemn this last display of aggressiveness by the Kasaeman regime, and express our full support to Xsampa - a nation that has remained friendly to Dundorf through the years, and that we're glad to help in this moment of reconstruction. Dundorf can't wait to meet with international partners to discuss this situation. - @NordenhausenAllgemeineZeitung
RE: Dundorf - TheNick - 10-02-2025 ![]() Dundorf and Egelion Set to Start Cultural Exchanges March 5614 Dunburg - Foreign Minister Alexander Schumacher has announced earlier today that following a state visit between Dundorf and Egelion that took place years ago, the Federal Government was interested in deepening further the relationship between our Federal Republic and the increasingly active Kingdom of Egelion, by proposing an evergreen for Dundorf's foreign policy and bilateral relations-building: educational cooperation. The single biggest example of this kind of activity throughout the years is the I.D.I. international school, founded now many decades ago, which still operate and works in several countries throughout Terra. IDI, for those of us at home who forgot, is the acronym of Internationaler Dunburger Institut, and it's purpose is to teach dundorfian language, culture and history to every student, who would then earn a certificate that recognizes proficiency in the language with virtually no cost: the school is funded in full by our Federal Ministry for Education and Culture. Some of those students, especially in neighboring countries, used the opportunity to move to Dundorf and seek a better occupation.
IDI might be seen as a key program in the new cultural exchanges that the two Governments are planning, but not only that: Dundorf seems set to propose regular school exchanges too, as well as welcoming Egelian artists such as singers, musicians, painters and so on to perform their arts in our country, in order to finally introduce elements of what for long has been a distant culture. On their part, Egelian officials have stated that they plan on to bring programs in which their students excel, such as economics and medicine, a golden opportunity for our academia to grow further and train our future doctors and economists better. November 5617 ![]() A Meridia ship sitting near Ikradun Island. Our sailors will reach Torges, the designated port, in a matter of weeks, and once there, the Government will plan a visit to Kanjor to discuss in person of any joint involvement, probably some joint exercises, but also looking for some openings in trade and educational exchanges, like it happened recently with Egelion. RE: Dundorf - TheNick - 25-02-2025 ![]() Schumacher Goes to Istalia October 5621 Pontelasa, Alaria - Foreign Minister Alexander Schumacher completed his first visit ever to Istalia yesterday, to the provisional capital currently located in Pontelasa, a city in the island of Alaria. This is Schumacher's first ever visit to a country in a state of war, and another high-profile international visit following the Xsampan one, and it happened as Mr. Schumacher finally prepares to end his term and retire from politics, after a turbulent time in Dundorfian politics. Anyways, the Foreign Minister pledged to recognize the forces fighting under the Patriotic Front as the new legitimate government of the country, and also pledged to assist the whole Istalian population with a humanitarian package doing so by delivering food and medicines, that will soon depart from Ikradun Island, but also by lending money to help finance the recostruction of the Istalian state, which is a very dire situation. Schumacher clarified today, in a press release, that this meeting was requested by Alarian authorities, and that the two Governments have agreed to have further meetings in the future, probably Dundorf will welcome Grand Princess Nicoletta to Dunburg in the coming months to a final meeting that will feature the signing of the deal negotiated in the past days. The rumors in Dunburg aren't stopping: Schumacher is finally ready after years to step down, and after the planned elections, Dundorf will have a new Government that will have to oversee the finalization of this deal, that with every possibility is going to be Schumacher's last piece of legacy to our nation. - @NordenhausenAllgemeineZeitung RE: Dundorf - Drax - 01-03-2025 ODERVELD - LEUCHTFEUER NDZP DISCUSSES CAMPAIGN FOCUS Neukirchstadt, July 16, 5623: After a party leadership meeting at the Neue Dundorfische Zentrumspartei (NDZP) Headquarters in Neukirchstadt on the upcoming campaign for the Bundestag, ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER asked Rudolf Kaltenbrunner, the interim NDZP treasurer, what would be the party focus for the upcoming elections and he replied: Quote:In this election NDZP is running as the party of religious freedom. That was our origin and we think that is what we should emphasize. The leadership strongly believes we need to be very clear about what that means and does not mean. It means citizens must be allowed to worship in churches of their own choosing in their own way. It does not mean people must belong to the Aurorian Patriarchal Church (APC) or any other church or worship at all. ![]() NDZP's Kaltenbrunner RE: Dundorf - TheNick - 02-03-2025 ![]() Country Prepares for Consequential Bundestag Election October 5623 ![]() Valentine Leesdorf, a young politician who defied odds and captured leadership of the long-standing Social Democratic Party. She is now leading the DSDP into the next Federal Election. As we said, the NDZP is back reclaiming political space in the center-right with Rudolf Kaltenbrunner after an absence that lasted many years, and according to polls, it is rapidly surging, close to 30%, putting the DSDP's lead in peril (our analysts at the Zeitung says that their lead will certainly be halved) but also being the perfect example of a rapid political comeback. But what about the new parties? They never contested an election in Dundorf, and they replaced old parties that went inactive, so no one knows much about them. But the we at the Zeitung do, as we followed closely the campaigns of each party. First of all, we found about the return of the Greens with a party named Grüne für den Planeten, and still on the left we have the Dundorfische Rote Front. To the center-right we covered the campaign of a moderate liberal party, the Team Liberaldemkoraten, while in Lutzenkamp we covered the campaign of Julstoch-only Julstoschiche Sozial Union, conservative and regionalist. To end, a fringe, right-extremist party referring to the Thaller ideology is also contesting the election, but pundits are doubtful that they will make it past the new electoral threshold, set at 5%. The threshold isn't Dundorf only change in this election: for the first time a constitutional bill was passed to modify the way the Federal President is elected, placing that power on a qualified majority of Bundestag. So, Dundorfians in a few weeks will be called to renew their parliament, and indirectly, they will determine the future President. Follow these exciting changes with the one and only, Nordenhausen Allgemeine Zeitung! - @NordenhausenAllgemeineZeitung RE: Dundorf - TheNick - 02-03-2025 ![]() Dundorf 5623: The Dundorfians' Choice 26 October 5623 ![]() A man in traditional attire casting his ballot in Sudschloss, Grozvic Dunburg - Follow the live electoral results with the Zeitung, with our exit poll: ![]() According to our exit poll, by the Dunburg University of Social Sciences, the DSDP and the NDZP will regain their position as the dominant parties of Dundorf, but the Social-Democrats will lead with a smaller margin than expected before NDZP's return, 33% to 29%. DSDP will get 218 seats and the NDZP 191. The newer parties suffered from lack of recognition, says our analyst Thorsten Daubner, with Liberals getting 11% and 72 seats, Greens and Socialists both get 8% and so they both get 53 seats, the Julstoch regionalist party dominates in their region and get a good 7% federal result, bringing Dunburg 43 representatives, while the fringe Thaller Party will fail to enter Bundestag, as expected, says Mr. Daubner.
Thorsten Daubner calls it: "Either a Grand Coalition or a Red-Yellow-Green Coalition are possible, but since the relationship between the Liberals and the Greens isn't optimal, I believe that we will get a Grand Coalition, ending decades of domination by leftist Governments. As for the Presidential election, who knows? It's totally new territory for us."
