RE: A Battle Unseen - Elena1012 - 23-02-2026 11:56. Metz-Leonid, Karoboro, Xsampa. March 2nd, 5713 ----------------------- Tsewang hurried past his colleagues, as he entered the cabinet room. He excused his tardiness and took a seat. Premier Auclair called for an emergency cabinet meeting and as People's Commissar of Foreign Affairs, he naturally would be apart of it. As soon as he sat down, Auclair spoke, her voice was authoritative. "Let's not beat around the bush here. We all know why this cabinet meeting was called. Vascania. Despite our best hopes for Vascania keeping democracy, it looks slim. Extremism is on the rise in Vascania. And an extremist Vascania is far more hostile to us than a centrist Vascania. As of this very moment, we have no reason to assume an immediate threat however. Despite that, let's admit it. If Vascania is so much as mildly upset, security for Xsampa is put into question. We need to be incredibly careful, and especially watch how Vascania goes. Comrade Tsewang," Auclair paused for a moment, shifting her gaze onto him." "I want you and the rest of the PCFA to observe as much as possible. We will not engage in espionage or spycraft, we can't risk giving Vascania a reason to be hostile. But we can't assume they'll forgive and forget. Second, I want the representative to the Dovani Union to try to lobby away from this Dovani First rhetoric. Imperialism is a threat, but we can't allow our allies in the DU to alienate our allies in Keris or Seleya. If the Union falls into Dovani Nationalism instead of Internationalism, it's as good as dead. The public is already worried on if integration is happening too fast." Tsewang shook his head, and nodded. The Premier wasn't wrong, exactly. The public did have concerns over how fast the Dovani Union was going, and as noble as Dovani for Dovanians sounded, it would only risk Dovani, and more importantly, Xsampa's relationships. Auclair continued speaking. "Comrade Wangdue, make sure the Xsampan Democratic Army is doing its job in Utaristan. Vascania isn't hostile yet, and we most certainly don't want to give them a reason to be hostile, we can't afford risks. If anything happens, the XDA in Utaristan must be ready to shift responsibility to our Utaristani comrades. Until then, continue Operation Eastern Deterrence. If the worse comes, and Vascania proves to be a threat, then we'll look into expanding the XDA's budget. If Vascania isn't a threat, then we can look towards reconciliation and ensure that Traitors Depth and the Vascanian Sea are open. And finally, make sure that the XDAN stays where it is. I want no risks. Again, Vascania isn't hostile, we don't need to give them a reason to be hostile. Watch the situation, hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Relations with Vascania have never been good. Don't make them worse." As Auclair continued speaking, Tsewang thought to himself. The People's Committee of Foreign Affairs would have alot of work. Not only supporting the Dovani Union, but making sure that it doesnt stray too far from ideal policy, but making sure it doesnt go too fast. And now Vascania. Vascania could easily be an existential threat to Xsampa, or, it can be an example of peaceful coexistence theory proving it's worth. It was simply too early to tell. So, the PCFA would have to carefully watch how Vascania unfolds. And hope for the best. Tsewang's mind kept looping back to the Dovani Union. The biggest asset that Xsampa had, was it's international relationships. Non-Dovani relationships. Kalistan wasn't as close as Egelion was, but positive relations were certainly there. Too valuable to risk. And Egelion, they've owed a favour to Xsampa for a long time now. It hasn't been used, and Tsewang wouldn't try to persuade the Premier to use it. One favour from not only a very close ally, but a powerful state, is something that must be used carefully. As the cabinet meeting dragged on, it was clear to Tsewang that there would be alot of work to do. The possibility of a threat from Vascania if the worst case scenario occurs, the possibility of the Dovani Union going astray and alienating foreign allies or even the Xsampan public itself, so much possibilities. Whatever he thought to himself. As Auclair said. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. RE: A Battle Unseen - Doc - 23-02-2026 La Vida Sucre Fine Dining, Luxon, Ananto 8:30pm Quote:"Good evening Sir, my name is Marta, I will be your server this evening. I understand you are waiting for a date..." RE: A Battle Unseen - Ligbruderkrieg - 28-02-2026 Surprise Undisclosed location, Confederation of New Englia, 14 August 5714 “We are seeing results, do not get much from that failure, Agent Myers.”, the man said as heard apologies from his office’s phone. “As you wish, sir.”, the female agent’s voice pitfully answered, she didn’t know what went wrong, it’s most likely that other nations went further in their efforts and that she remained on the sidelines, damn it.
She was taken off her thoughts as she heard the Director-General's voice on the phone, seemingly having taken an interest at this conversation, rather than his dull and uninterested voice that she must deal with in every conversation.
“Look. I know it’s disappointing, specifically considering the number of efforts you pulled off.” he said, his tone titled with a sentiment that she never saw from him, sympathy?
I mean, he was right after all. She pulled off some strings in order to secure a place at the table in the New Englian government. All of that for nothing, she thought. So frustrating.
“Agent Myers, we haven’t sent you nor Agent Pryce to merely secure an oil bid,” he added. “It would be a complete waste of money and of your talents”, he continued.
“With all due respect sir, you did say that the oil was *critically* important to Luthorian interests.” she argued, but he sharply cut her off.
“It wasn’t that important, I merely made it so that you would *actually* work on the field.”, he stated, fact of tone. But in his office, the Director-General's mouth couldn’t help but escape a small smile as he thought about the reaction of the agent back in New Englia.
He continued “We’ve sent you there as pioneers. New Englia remains critically vital for Luthorian interests in the Eastern Dovanian Seaboard. And I’ve heard that you’ve secured a *very important* ally in the Cabinet.”
She knew what he meant, no need to elaborate it further.
“Following the... weird results of the oil bid, Temania, Bianjie and Egelion were chosen as the three exploiters of the oil fields at Rosafadda. It’s likely that Egelion’s victory shall secure Prime Minister McDermott some breathing room in the short term. Although, it’s likely that Bianjie’s inexperience and Temania’s brewing instability shall cost New Englia more than expected.” he stated bluntly.
He continued “Basically, we are in a good position as of now. The oil bidding process was a very controversial process. Each nation which was involved got something bad from it. But, this is also an opportunity. Your mission is now simple.”
As he mentioned her next mission, her ears came back to life, having been shut down following the beginning of his rant on the geopolitical implications of her failure.
“It’s simple? Really? Coming from you, nothing is ‘simple,” she replied, her voice filled with sarcasm.
“Yes. You now have carte blanche. We are merely awaiting your reports from now on.”
“Wait, what the hell? I swear if this is a fucking joke, I will-”
“It’s not. It’s serious.” he cut her off immediately. “You are now responsible for the IFIA Liaison Office at the Luthorian Embassy in New Englia.”
Her mind went blank; haven’t she failed her mission? If so, why are they giving her a promotion? God, was that a dream, had she drunk too much? She must be dreaming.
“Wait, wait, wait, hold up.”
“Hm?”
“You are kidding...right?”
He ignored her remarks.
“You’ll be taking over as the IFIA Liaison Officer tommorow. Details of your mission shall be communicated after you are sworn in in completely secrecy by the Ambassador.”
“Wait...huh...just...wait...”, her mind felt dizzy, she couldn’t say any word, she was just stunned, but the voice on the line acted as a constant reminder, this was real.
“By the way, the Prime Minister personally commanded you and signed over your appointment.”
Huh? The Prime Minister, now this was weird. Elected officials took a liking at the IFIA now? Was this an alternative world? Nope. Same old world.
As she tried to reach for the phone for explainations, her mind a little better – the line went blank.
Now, she was here, in a weird-ass country, all alone, in an apartment which smell like shit...Elijah, it really smells like shit. As she opened the window and begun to clean up an apartment filled with empty bottle of alcohol, she heard a knock.
She opened it and she saw her frienemy, looking rather annoyed as she entered without a second thought.
“God, I didn’t know you were that disorderly in your life,” she said with a mocking tone.
“What do you want, Mary?”
“Haven’t you heard, we got new appointments.”
“Wait, you too?”
“Of course, me too, what did you even expect?” Mary’s voice feinted indignation, but that turned into a slow, mocking laugh. “You are doomed to be with me, Cat.”
She sighed, feeling very tired from this day. “Wait, aren’t you supposed to be with someone at a date now?”
“I mean, I was. Then the guy revealed himself to be lacking in some aspects.”
“Elijah, save me...”
“I meant in conversation! He was just saying platitudes to the point that I was so *bored*. Come on, you have such a deranged mind to think about that! I’m very disappointed, Cat.”
“Tch. You are only there for that anyway.” her fake attempt at indignation didn’t pass through her.
“That’s very untrue, missy. But enough about me. I’ve been appointed as Senior Advisor to the Luthorian Embassy in New Englia. You are now the IFIA liaison officer in New Englia. A nice little promotion, isn’t it?”
“Yeah...”
Her colleague saw through the mask of confidence that she placed on her head: “Now, I know how you feel, you feel that the failure was your fault. But we aren’t here for one-time goals, we are here to build something. Something far bigger than ourselves.”
“That’s true.”
“So, please. Stop with your little depressive mood and remember. Focus on the next goal. Don’t remind yourself of your failures, it’ll just drag you down with them anyway.”
She couldn’t say a word. Mary looked over and saw the dirty apartment and confidently boasted. “C’mon. I’m sleeping here tonight, so best to have something cleaned.”
RE: A Battle Unseen - Elena1012 - 02-03-2026 Operation; Stagnant Ascendancy. February 27th, 5715 -------------------------- To; Director of the Committee of State Security, Kundang Karpo From; Bureau of Ideological Analysis Subject; Operation Stagnant Ascendancy, and the status of the global left. -------------------------- It is no secret that Xsampa is viewed with division amongst the global left. More revolutionary states loathe the current state of Xsampa and decry it as revisionist. Revisionists decry it as too radical. Equally, some view it as a puppet state to velvet imperialists. It's abundantly clear that the global left is fragmented. This, under normal circumstances, would be a policy failure. Under extraordinary circumstances, such as this current era of Terra, this is an opportunity. A divided global left provides opportunity for influence. Make no mistake however, that this is an endeavor that may hold significant risk if discovered. If. If not discovered however, then we hold the opportunity to mold the global left towards a more Pro Xsampa direction, and if conditions allow, a Metzist direction. As such, this is where Operation Stagnant Ascendancy comes into play. Upon it's authorization, the CSS will be instructed to make contact with various socialist and communist movements, organizations and party's around the world, and support them. Such potential examples may include Red Sun in Midway, the Republican Socialist Party in New Englia, the Progressive Communist Party in Bianjie, the Communist Action Party in Medina, and perhaps our biggest prize, the Caillean People's Party in Egelion. The CSS will be instructed to look into other avenues in other countries across the world, that are applicable. Countries with a significant leftist force that is too independent, or already strongly Pro Xsampa, or outside of reach, such as the Communist Party of Valruzia or the All Nadiyan Communist Party, both of which are too independent to influence, and would require illegal measures that are simply not worth the risk, will need to be left as is. It would perhaps be worth creating a global party organization for socialist movements to accommodate. The ultimate goal of Operation Stagnant Ascendancy is to ensure that leftist movements across the world are sufficiently Pro Xsampa first and foremost. They may not need to be strictly Metzist. Only supportive of Metz-Leonid. The last thing desired is a repeat of currently contentious relations with Utaristan, of which the current ruling party in Utaristan is harder to influence due to their more vanguard, revolutionary direction. The PCFA will be instructed on how to handle Utaristan. In the meantime, the CSS will have its goals clear. All future umbrella operations under Operation Stagnant Ascendancy are to be done with absolute carefulness. We do not, under any circumstances, want leaks of Xsampa influencing, funding and supporting left wing groups across the world, especially to our allies. This is especially true for Bianjie and Egelion. Bianjie, being a friendly state that borders us, cannot be risked. Egelion, is a case of high risk, high reward. A Pro Xsampa CPP would be incredibly powerful, even if it's to the whims of bourgeois liberal democracy. But an asset nonetheless. Because of their mainstream position, we cannot expect the CPP to embrace Metzism, but we can expect to potentially shift them towards a more, Pro Xsampa position. Regarding left wing groups in Majatra and Artania, it is more difficult due to the neoliberal nature of the two continents, and especially the pressing influence of the Anti-Communist MATO. Potential efforts in Artania and Majatra will be determined at a later date. Once Operation Stagnant Ascendancy is authorized, the CSS will be instructed to make steps towards providing support for left wing groups that are influence-able in the coming months and years. -------------------------- Status; Authorized. -------------------------- RE: A Battle Unseen - Elena1012 - 08-03-2026 Stagnant Ascendancy; Kerisian General Operation ---------------------- Metz-Leonid, New Ladakh District, Xsampa June 17th, 5617 ---------------------- To; Director of the Committee of State Security, Kundang Karpo From; Bureau of Ideological Analysis Subject; Operation Stagnant Ascendancy and Initiation within Keris. -------------------------- Under normal circumstances, our first focus would be on Bianjie with the Progressive Communist Party, especially with the Socialist People's Party drifting to the centre. However, the recent moves by the Caillean People's Party in Egelion have warranted significant attention. While Egelion is a firm ally of Xsampa, and worthy of immense trust, the goals of the CPP are, while not inherently Metzist, let alone properly socialist, still in alignment with Xsampan goals in the wider globe. And befitting Egelions status as a major power, influencing the CPP will be invaluable. As such, for Operation Stagnant Ascendancy to prevail, Kerisian General Operations will be required. Before looking into the CPP in Egelion, we must look at Keris as a whole. The All-Nadiyan Communist Party, while certainly noteworthy, is not worth the effort, both due to the ANCP's distinct independent identity, and strict Nadiyan laws and counter espionage operations. The situation of the left in Dolgava is indeterminable, and as such, resources should not be wasted. The Tripartite Kingdom of New Endralon, Kizenia and Kuzaki, while holding a left wing party that can be influenced, is in no suitable position to ever elect the Left. Resources shouldn't be wasted at the moment. This leaves Egelion and the Caillean People's Party. While the CPP is mainstream, and floating within a vague centre left space, the CPP claims to be democratic socialist. Despite this, because of their mainstream status, it is impossible to expect them to ever embrace radical socialism, let alone Metzism, they are at the end of the day, left wing. As such, it is of critical importance to influence the CPP in any possible way, whether it be through indirect funding to more suitable members of the CPP (preferably via NGOs, think tanks, or other avenues of plausible deniability), or through supporting their campaigning (refer to above for preferred methods). Above all, all assets should be instructed on two things. Reducing any traces of Xsampan meddling to acceptable parameters (that is, as little as possible) and nudging the CPP towards positions more aligned with Xsampa, whether domestically or foreign policy wise. The goal is not to turn the CPP into a communist party. It's to make sure that they don't turn against Xsampa. Above all, the CPP must be mapped out. Internal factions (it is worth finding members who are firmly pro Xsampa and those who are as close to anti Xsampa) must be boosted, and supported with resources, look into any potential financial weaknesses (in this context, incredibly unlikely due to the mainstream nature of the CPP), media reach, and internal party culture. Finally, any organs of the CPP must be identified and supported. Associated unions, newspapers, think tanks, so on and so forth. A party is a living organism. All aspects of it must be approached. Above all, the goal is not to foster a Revolution in Egelion, sow instability or topple the monarchy. The goal is not to convert the CPP into a workers party. The goal is to ensure that the CPP is pro Xsampa. The CSS will be instructed to make sure that all assets stick to strict protocol adherence. ---------------------- Status; Authorized ---------------------- RE: A Battle Unseen - Elena1012 - 10-03-2026 Stagnant Ascendancy; North Eastern General Operation ---------------------- Metz-Leonid, New Ladakh District, Xsampa December 25th, 5717 ---------------------- To; Director of the Committee of State Security, Kundang Karpo From; Bureau of Ideological Analysis Subject; Operation Stagnant Ascendancy and operations within Bianjie -------------------------- While Bianjie is considered a firm, and very close ally to Xsampa, Bianjie does hold something that no other country on Terra has. A Participatory Metzist party. The Progressive Communist Party remains an incredibly valuable asset on merit that it is already pro Xsampa. This means that there is less of a need to influence the PCP, and more of a need to guide the party and provide support where applicable. However, because of the relatively niche status of Participatory Metzism within the global community, there has been a faction within the PCP that has been advocating for a focus away from Participatory Metzism and more towards classic class based issues. While nominally, this is respectable on paper, this is often an excuse for a party to shift rightwards and neglect social issues. As such, it is imperative that the Participatory Metzists within the PCP are supported against this revisionist wing. The best case scenario would be making this wing powerless, as an expulsion would only fracture the Bianjian Left. As such, efforts will be largely focused on supporting our preferred faction within the PCP via methods of plausible deniability (think tanks, NGOs, etc), as keeping our preferred faction supported will strip the revisionists of the means to challenge the status quo. Beyond ensuring that the PCP stays it's course, the best case scenario would be ensuring that the PCP remains electable, and can apply pressure to the natural governing party, the Socialist People's Party to ensure that the SPP doesn't make right wing shifts, whether socially or economically. It is, however worth noting that Bianjie remains a close ally. All assets will be instructed to stick to protocol. The goal remains the same (Assets are to be referred to the Kerisian General Operation and our long term goals regarding Operation Stagnant Ascendancy). If we advocate for toppling the Khanate and establishing a workers republic in Bianjie, relations may be indefinitely damaged, which is to be avoided at all costs. The goal is to ensure that the PCP stays it's course and can keep the SPP in check. Because of the nature of the PCP, leeway is given in ensuring plausible deniability first and foremost. The SPP remains trusted to be Pro Xsampa, and as such, it is not of critical importance to influence the PCP as much as other parties elsewhere. ---------------------- Status; Authorized ---------------------- RE: A Battle Unseen - Rogue - 11-03-2026 Republican Security Service – Internal Situation Report Location: Hanabataar, Republic of New Verham Date: 20 February 5717 Author: Directorate of Strategic Analysis and Operations, BÜNABA Headquarters Following the formal establishment of the Republican Security Service in late 5715, the first phase of organizational consolidation continued throughout 5716 and 5717 from the service’s headquarters complex in Hanabataar. By March 5716, the main administrative offices of the RSS were fully operational, allowing the transfer of intelligence personnel from the National Police Intelligence Bureau and the Foreign Reconnaissance Agency into a unified structure under direct authority of the President and National Security Council. Initial staffing reports compiled on 1 September 5716 estimated that the service had grown to approximately 300 personnel, including analysts, field officers, and communications specialists. Throughout the remainder of 5716, the RSS (Panmuan: BÜNABA) focused primarily on establishing a functional intelligence cycle and internal reporting network. Regional liaison officers were deployed beginning 12 October 5716 to the provincial centers of Altaai, Zuidervoort, and Schloss an der Hügel, where they were tasked with coordinating information collection from local security authorities and reporting weekly assessments to headquarters in Hanabataar. Early intelligence reporting during this period focused largely on monitoring terrorist activity, disruptive organizations, and emerging online communications networks. Cooperation with New Verham’s remaining military intelligence structures was formalized on 18 November 5716, when RSS leadership met with officials of the Military Intelligence Directorate in Baatrynsentii to establish regular intelligence exchanges. Under this arrangement, the Military Intelligence Directorate assumed primary responsibility for military intelligence collection abroad, while the RSS retained authority over non-military foreign intelligence, domestic counterintelligence, analytical coordination, and internal security monitoring. Beginning in December 5716, joint intelligence briefings were delivered on a monthly basis to senior government leadership through the National Security Council. Operational activity during the first month of 5717 remained limited but gradually expanded as technical capabilities improved. On 3 February 5717, the Directorate of General Collection began limited monitoring operations at the newly established signals facility outside Baatrynsentii, enabling the service to conduct basic communications interception and digital traffic analysis. During the same period, field reporting from RSS officers stationed near the western and northern border led to the launch of Operation BORDERWATCH on 17 February 5717, during the finalization of this report, becoming an intelligence monitoring effort aimed at identifying smuggling routes and irregular cross-border activity. Information gathered during the operation will subsequently be shared with the Home Guard for operational follow-up. As of today, internal assessments within the RSS concluded that the agency had successfully transitioned from an ad hoc security structure into a functioning national intelligence organization. While operational capacity remains limited and heavily focused on domestic intelligence collection, the consolidation of personnel, infrastructure, and reporting procedures in Baatrynsentii has established the foundation for expanded intelligence activity in the coming years. RE: A Battle Unseen - Elena1012 - 12-03-2026 A Fresh Revolution. Metz-Leonid, Karosawa, Xsampa Revolution Square May 4th, 5617 -------------------------------- Monlam Aurousseau sat down on the bench. It was a lovely day in Revolution Square. Behind the main plaza of Revolution Square, there was a little nice park that Monlam always loved to visit, ever since he was a child. The little park had a plethora of benches by trees, and a statue of one of the heros of the Xsampan Revolution. He sat at the bench, and looked at the statue. 300 years ago, some brave revolutionaries sacrificed everything for the Revolution. 300 years later, Xsampa is where it is today. Monlam sighed to himself. Of course, the Revolution must adapt as the times change. But have reformists had too much of a day in things? The Communist Party of Xsampa had changed a lot since then 5317. Understandably so. From an ultra dogmatic Metzism-Leonidism to the CPX Current of Metzism, to Participatory Metzism. Maybe it needed another change? The CPX, and the wider Xsampan Revolution could still be saved. The current status quo would lead Xsampa to stagnation. Monlam knew this. But he also knew the challenges he faced. Being apart of the New Line has made it almost impossible to gain ground in the Party. The New Line was divided and weak. Even if it had a single coherent ideological centre, it would still be the smallest wing within the Party. Getting Party Members and CPX voters to favour him in the 5619 Primaries will be nearly impossible. Xsampa would effectively be doomed to the slow decay into state capitalism. As Monlam spiraled internally, a light breeze got his attention, and he looked around the park. Families being happy. Smiles. Laughters. He looked at the statue again. The revolutionaries of old organized a revolution against impossible odds and won. He couldn't sulk and give up. The race hasn't even started. He couldn't give up on his country. He took a deep breath, and composed him mentally. Nearly. That was the keyword. Nearly impossible. Monlam had one key advantage that no other had in the entire New Line faction. He was an Aurousseau. He had a head start in name recognition and at the very least, the Party wouldn't ignore him. Most of the Moderate Neo-Socialists were too reformist to really ever back him. By international standards, maybe Monlam wasn't a council communist. By Xsampan standards? He might as well be. The Improvement Consensus however, could perhaps be persuaded. A few party members. Monlam would need to spend time charming them, and gaining their support. An endorsement would go a far way. Or at least, someone else talking about his ideas. The Pink Socialists weren't even worth engaging with. Most of the New Line was.. divided. Not much room for gaining influence in the Party and changing things up. But it could be worse. He'd need to reach out to Improvement Consensus party members who'd he willing to listen, maybe reach out to nom aligned party members, such as the Gang of Five? They hold considerable sway in the Central Committee and at best, could move things along in favour of Monlam. He had to take advantage of him being an Aurousseau. It wouldn't be easy. Certainly not at all. But he had to start somewhere. Anywhere. The first step would be to make connections, and see who's willing to listen, who isn't, and who's friend and foe. Worry about the Primaries when they come. He has two years. Plenty of time to make ground. Monlam got up from the bench. The bus had arrived, and he began to leave the park, looking to prepare for his first attempt at reaching out. There were plenty of cliques and groups within the non aligned Party members. Many who would be very ecstatic to have an Aurousseau befriend them. Surely. Just one step at a time. RE: A Battle Unseen - Doc - 12-03-2026 Cliff House, South Western Kaliburg
early May 5717 Quote:William, affectionately known to those around him as "Willy" passed by the living room. In there, he saw his mother, folding clothes that were taken out of the dryer recently. He looked at her cautiously, hoping she would remain unaware that he was watching her. Over the last couple months, he had got the sense that there was something of a change in how his mother, Aunt Nicki, Lady Melanie, and several others had been treating him. They were, he thought, perhaps less affectionate, more standoffish... A couple of times he noticed that several of these people, almost all in the circle closest to his mother, were speaking, and when they noticed him, they stopped abruptly and looked at him. His father, however never did that. But his mother... something had changed with her and he didn't like it, so he tried to tip toe by the entrance so he could go to his room without her seeing him. RE: A Battle Unseen - Elena1012 - 14-03-2026 Operation Polar Sunset Metz-Leonid, Karosawa, Xsampa August 17th, 5717 ------------------------ To; Director of the Committee of State Security, Kundang Karpo From; Bureau of Ideological Analysis Subject; Nadiya, and a review of the Kerisian General Operation in relation to Stagnant Ascendancy. --------------------------- The Nadiyan Confederation (Nadiya) remains an ideological anomaly within the world, and yet equally, a valuable player in the world stage, most especially within Keris. Originally, Nadiya was excluded from the Kerisian General Operation (KGO) and Operation Stagnant Ascendancy because of the fiercely independent All-Nadiyan Communist Party (ANCP), and the country's very strict laws in political financing, thus making any forms of influencing near impossible. However, recent events within Nadiya have warranted that we take a look at the country once again, as one of the country's 5 (6) constituant republics, has recently become a Soviet Socialist Republic. This effectively means that the internal balance of power has shifted, as previously, only the Lesnovian Soviet Socialist Republic (L-SSR/LSSR) remained the only properly left wing republic in the Confederation. It is worth noting that the Nadiyan Confederation, on a federal level at least, operates under neoliberal laissez-faire trade policies, but befitting it's status as a global anomaly, operates an almost socialized economy internally. This year, another republic joined Lesnov, with the Radin Soviet Socialist Republic forming (R-SSR/RSSR). There is pressure from both republics for the other three republics to convert to a similar model. This is an immense opportunity, as a red Nadiya would boost connections immensely for Xsampa. Nadiya is functionally a trade hub for the far north, and as such, a friendly Nadiya would allow connections, and allow the CSS to re-enter Majatra, something which remains functionally impossible due to a total lack of connections and assets within Majatra. This would also have the side effect of boosting the credentials of global socialism, as only three socialist states exist in the world at the moment. Xsampa, Utaristan and Tukarali. Despite the contentious relationship with Utaristan, another socialist state could perhaps add pressure to Utaristan, and force them to adopt a more conciliatory outlook. Idealistically, this could also allow for the reformation of SocIntern (Socialist International). Even with a fiercely independent ANCP, the objective could switch from influencing to supporting the ANCP in gaining electoral gains in federal elections. However, this would be an operation of significant difficult. Due to the incredibly strict financing laws within Nadiya, we would lack the capacity to provide funding to the ANCP, and give them support. This leaves of course, organizational methods of assistance, but this is more difficult due to the almost labyrinth complexity of Nadiyan federal law. This leaves little room for support. Traditional means of support, such as think tank contributions and party organization meetings are also more difficult, due to the rather ambivalent relations between the ANCP and currently applicable party's within Xsampa. Furthermore, and arguably the most pressing issue, a lack of assets within Nadiya. Even with proper ties with the L-SSR, operations in all of Nadiya will be particularly difficult and it will take considerable time to establish a coherent network. Time that may not exist, as the current pressure movement may fizzle out within that time, and may not emerge again. It will be an incredibly risky operation, and beyond potentially losing assets, we can very much see relations between Nadiya and Xsampa damaged, or in the worst case scenario, relations with the Kerisian Empire (of which, Nadiya is a member of) damaged, which will inadvertently hurt our efforts in Egelion. This can also see trade warfare, as Nadiya is the biggest trade partner in Keris for Xsampa, and losing them could be a significant blow. An upsetting one. As such, this operation will be, ultimately up to the CSS for evaluation on whether it is worth it or not. If Operation Polar Sunset is enacted, then the goal is to simply establish a network and maintain every protocol possible to avoid detection, or ensure plausible deniability. Traditional means will need to be foregoed. If anything seems amiss, the Operation will be voided, and the plug will be pulled and all assets will be instructed to leave as soon as possible. Because of the incredibly lax immigration laws that Nadiya holds however, getting assets into Nadiya will be easy, and due to trade relations, we have a basic set up to work with. All assets, and the assigned spy master will need to exercise incredible caution. Mistakes are acceptable elsewhere. But not in Nadiya. --------------------------- Status; Authorized --------------------------- |
