The King returns to Wiel
![]() A celebration in a stadium in Wiel marks the first public appearance of the Royal Guard since the Bloodless Revolution.
27 May 5668 With a majority vote the referendum passed, for the last two days citizens of Wrnuke could vote on whether the restored democratic state should once again be the Kingdom of Wrnuke. They did overwhelmingly so, with 64% supporting the restoration of the Banmek-Sntazed line to the throne. The royal family was ousted after an unstable period, the cadet branch of King and Emperor Bunjamín reached record lows after his son Wrntukai II grew increasingly authoritarian and even sanctioned a nuclear strike on Xsampa. After his full abdication Wrntukai lived out his life in a Worldburnerist philosophical monastery and the remaining titles, like Archduke of Banstill, passed back to the main branch of the family. A young scion of that branch was until recently known as Archduke Temrkai, mostly known for being a philanthropist playboy in Narikaton and Darnussia. King Temrkai studied water management and sustainable agriculture and has used his family's wealth to bring his ideas to fruition in poorer nations. The Banmek-Sntazed Foundation, at his bequest, recently did a large project in Kimlien for rice farmers. Outside of his charity however he is known as a man of extravagant parties and as a down to earth and kind person to people that meet him on the streets. He has stated in interviews in the past that actively ruling does not interest him, in contrary to his father who fought his entire life to regain his claim as absolute monarch in Wrnuke. The young new monarch will be crowned at a later date, for now the nation seems most occupied with preparing for the upcoming elections. Parties are free to register, and several have already done so. The stock market has been reopened after the Worldburnerist ban on stocks, with a caretaker cabinet already implementing measures to end the economic stagnation. The elders of the Banmek-Sntazed family have also invested a large sum of their personal wealth into the government budget. Prince Aldrkai, chairman of the Banmek-Sntazed Foundation, clarified to the press this was a gift to the people and that no loan would be established like the Worldburnerist state had accepted a few years prior. Currently the state is avoiding any extravagant celebrations, though some organisations have set up smaller events. In a sports stadium in Wiel a few hundred people gathered to watch traditional Jelbic sports and a few Royal Guards on horseback. The men, who until recently were part of the Jelbic People's Army, volunteered to wear the uniforms and ride the horses to display the traditional form of Wrnuke's most famous soldiers. Transitional period to end as nation readies itself for elections
![]() Members of the monarchist temporary government present a new constitution, marking the end to a decade of doubt.
14 January 5678 (backdated) Ten years of hardship are at an end. Not many believed the transitional regime when they claimed a new constitution would see a restoration of the long lost constitutional monarchy. Many expected the temporary government to turn into a permanent junta. The chairman of the temporary government, who has for the last decade signed his letters as 'Interim Prefect', announced today that the new constitution was finished. The final draft will be presented to journalists, experts, representatives of local communities, governors, mayors, and other institutions. Not much resistance is expected on that front, the real test will come with another referendum in four weeks time. After the population has given their approval Wrnuke will enter a period of another four weeks which will function as the campaign tour for the new political parties, which are expected to register in the four weeks before the referendum. Many were already expecting this announcement and have as such already registered. So far four parties have come forward and have already started making their presence known on online circles. A distant cousin of King Temrkai VII has started a far-right reactionary movement calling for an absolute monarchy. Prince Kezkai has not received an endorsement from the King, and rumours state the royal family will distance themselves from the party before the elections. The party seems to be a fringe movement, which cannot be said for the Jelbic liberals that have both formed two parties: a social liberal centrist movement Wrntu Jelb'koékai (Jelbics Forward) under Duchess Jarga Anzlék-Zahr and the liberal-conservative Lofrkadé Péashro (Liberal Vanguard) under former RSB junior director Dwít Z'nstro. The other known party is the Aked Prta (Red Party) which will carry on the torch of Worldburnerism in a more democratic sense, Mri Hilleskedrsme Ehwre seeks to campaign on a platform of equality and pacifism. The Grak Sháhazi (Black Lion) is a periodic news magazine that was once founded by leftist Wrnukaék journalists in exile, it attracts mostly centre-left readers with academic backgrounds. Liberals big winners: Duchess Anzlék-Zahr seizes victory
![]() The certified election results as of 7:00 AM.
16 March 5678 (backdated) On the 14th of February the new constitution was approved in a referendum with an astounding 89 percent approval from the people of the Kingdom of Wrnuke. King Temrkai VII himself certified the results of the referendum, applauding the people for their decision. This is in stark contrast to his predecessors, as previous Banmek-Sntazed monarchs have shown a preference for a more authoritarian style of leadership over their Jelbic domain. The new Kingdom however, will be one of democracy and liberal values. Twelve parties registered for elections, eight garnered enough votes to be elected into the Grand Council. Out of these parties the social-liberal Wrntu Jelb'koékai (Jelbics Forward) gained the most amount of seats with 64 out of 225 being assigned to the movement of Duchess Anzlék-Zahr. Her direct rival, Dwít Z'nstro, managed to attain 49 seats, placing the liberal-conservatives of the Lofrkadé Péashro (Liberal Vanguard) second. In the end the more centrist agenda of the WJ and the strong debate performances of the Duchess seemed to have made the difference. Both Z'nstro and Anzlék-Zahr have admitted they see each other as future partners in a coalition. With the current numbers both parties hold 113 seats together, giving them the slimmest majority possible in Wrnuke's parliament. Other party leaders celebrated too, as Mri Hilleskedrsme Ehwre's Worldburnerist Aked Prta (Red Party) became third with 40 seats. The Ám'ádsrlji Krsyjogad (Ahmadist Union) garnered 21 seats with their Ahmadist centre-left program, the eco-pacifist and animal right's movement Jezhrjebrnfi Prta (Most Important Brother Party) managed to climb up to 18 seats against expectations. The Jelbic big tent traditionalists of the Tanhriék Prostrnatnyrmojad (Tanhri's Will) got 14 seats, their more militaristic and far-right cousins of Ztarmojad (Scourge) got up to 12 seats and the fringe party of Prince Kezkai Banmek-Sntazed, the Jez Sháhaziék Vfjokai (Loyalists to the Great Lion) were able to scrounge up 7 seats. While the two liberal parties under the Duchess and Z'nstro have enough seats for a majority it would only take one absent seat for them to lose this, many pundits are expecting them to form a coalition with a third party for a broader majority in the Grand Council. The Grak Sháhazi (Black Lion) is a periodic news magazine that was once founded by leftist Wrnukaék journalists in exile, it attracts mostly centre-left readers with academic backgrounds. Liberals and traditionalists form hawkish coalition
![]() Duchess Jarga Anzlék-Zahr arriving at the Grand Council to formally accept her new position as Prefect.
5 May 5678 (backdated) After the election results it quickly became apparent that the 'half-a-seat majority' was not enough of a majority for the liberal bloc to be comfortable with. Duchess Anzlék-Zahr and Dwít Z'nstro were quick to find mutual grounds for cooperation and announced in March that their respective parties would be cooperating extensively to try and find a "third partner" for their idea of a Jez Shrmoishto (Grand Coalition). At first the centre-left Ám'ádsrlji Krsyjogad (Ahmadi Union) was approached, a predominantly Ahmadist party with centre-left views. These talks ended on April 10 after it was clear the three parties could not find a solution to their differing views on foreign affairs, as the Ahmadists under Mhmet Kamék advocate for an isolationist course and cooperation with Majatran Ahmadi nations. The liberal bloc however wishes to aim globally and return to the past with projecting Jelbic soft power across the globe. Brief talks were held with the Worldburnerist Aked Prta (Red Party), although it quickly became apparent that would not be a match. Eventually, it was the Tanhriék Prostrnatnyrmojad (Tanhri's Will) that became the glue for the Jez Shrmoishto. Intrsmor Shlajkaisrmko Trmékez is a successful businessman and the son of a Tanhrist and Zollist shaman. A man from humble beginnings that grew up in one of the last remaining traditional Jelbic communities. He passed his traditional Jelbic rite of passage during the Worldburnerist dictatorship when these trials were technically outlawed. Even with his traditional upbringing he also went to school, as his father favoured both forms of Jelbic education, and even studied at the University of Wiel after his tribe gathered enough money to help him move to the big city. After gaining his economics degree he briefly worked for the Worldburnerist regime, but returned to his hometown of Aldr-Abdr near the city of Krlmek after being written up for two 'anti-state opinions'. Here a small company was built, money was saved, and when the Worldburnerist regime collapsed Trmékez bought several former state companies. In the last decade he has turned them into profitable businesses, occasionally being in the news for his traditional Jelbic views combined with his modern business acumen. His party is big tent in policy, and primarily fights for the rights of the few traditionalist Jelbics still living in Wrnuke. The policies the party advocates are as flexible as the business strategies of its founder, though it is a militarist movement calling for the restoration of the Jelbosphere as a world power. The flexibility and hawkish views made Trmékez and his TP party the ideal partner in the end. With 14 seats it brings the coalition to a total of 127 out of 225, a comfortable majority in the Grand Council. Z'nstro's Lofrkade Péashro (Liberal Vanguard) was always going to be in favour of traditionalist conservation measures and with some economical centrist concessions the Duchess was also convinced. It is expected that the coalition proposal of Duchess Anzlék-Zahr will soon pass the Grand Council, after which she will become the first elected Prefect of Wrnuke in almost a century. Dwít Z'nstro has been put forward as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs and the seasoned businessman Trmékez will fill the position of Minister of Finance. The Grak Sháhazi (Black Lion) is a periodic news magazine that was once founded by leftist Wrnukaék journalists in exile, it attracts mostly centre-left readers with academic backgrounds. RE: Vanuku - Kubrick - 13-10-2025 ![]() Minister Trmékez aims for "economic miracle"
![]() Minister of Finance Intrsmor Shlajkaisrmko Trmékez during the interview with Grak Sháhazi.
10 January 5679 (backdated) Many expected the Jelbic big tent traditionalists of the Tanhriék Prostrnatnyrmojad (Tanhri's Will) movement to become the junior coalition partners in the Jez Shrmoishto (Grand Coalition). However, Minister Trmékez, the successful businessman behind the party has shown himself to be a deft politician. Using his business acumen as proof of his skills he was given the Finance Ministry as the single prominent position within the cabinet for the TP. Rumours are that the liberal bloc led by Prefect Anzlék-Zahr and Minister Z'nstro expected their junior partner to go along with their plans and not make a fuzz. Minister Trmékez has instead become one of the more popular figureheads of the Grand Coalition. His tax reform, giving a big relief for the lower and middle classes and raising taxes on wealthy landowners while maintaining low business taxes, have proven immensely popular with the public who applaud his efforts to "make life more affordable". Trmékez has surprised the public with his policies, with many critics expecting him to continue his own style of business as Finance Minister. As a businessman Trmékez made his wealth by buying smaller companies, sometimes through hostile takeovers, and seeking every possible angle to dodge corporate taxes. As Finance Minister his missions seems to be to combat his own style of "predatory capitalism" as he himself dubbed it. However, he is still seen as a man that favours heavy industry and has refused to heed the calls of Mri Hilleskedrsme Ehwre's Aked Prta (Red Party) to increase corporate taxes. Today the Minister announced his plans for a "forced economic miracle", citing the need for exponential growth to strengthen Wrnuke's position and raise the standard of living back to the golden years of the Jelbic Empire. Minister Trmékez: "The ten years of the transitional period have seen the economy stabilise and transfer from a state-planned bureaucratic mess to lawless capitalism. Neither of those are good options, you need that sweet spot in between where business can grow, workers are protected, and the state received a small share to pump back into other businesses. That's where you get that growth we need, the growth we will forcefully make happen if need be." The first step of the government is to re-establish Wrnuke's own exchange index and join the global market, the new index will be named Wiel Efks Indeks (WEKS), or Wiel Securities Index (WSX) for the international market. Trmékez announced it would open on November 1st. Before that moment in eleven months the government will open several schemes for both small and big companies to profit from: "The idea is expansion, growth, increased international presence. We are keeping it low on rules and regulations, so they are fairly easy to apply for, but if you have a good business plan you can submit it and get a special 0% interest loan approved. A state investment corporation, built on our new pensions, will then also invest in companies within the Kingdom to both grow its own portfolio and strengthen our industry." The schemes will be paid for by Wrnuke's reserves and an immense contribution from the King, who has sold around 80% of the family's assets in recent years to properly solidify his position as a constitutional monarch and not to be the "businessman with a crown" as he called himself. RE: Vanuku - Kubrick - 13-10-2025 ![]() Anzlék-Zahr warns Xsampa: "Imperialism ends in blood and ashes"
![]() Duchess Jarga Anzlék-Zahr, the current Prefect of the Kingdom of Wrnuke, has condemned Xsampan colonisation efforts.
10 February 5680, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke With the recent developments in the lands formerly belonging to the Kingdom of Beiteynu the government has gravely condemned the radical decisions made by the involved parties. In the coalition agreement the Jez Shrmoishto, or Grand Coalition, outlined their plan to take a pro-active approach to 'sovereignty, justice, and freedom' in Majatra. This goes further than the previous Worldburnerist and royal dictatorship regimes that only cared about people within their ideologies and the Jelbosphere itself. Instead the more activist Grand Coalition seeks to fully fight for democracy and freedom on the Majatran continent. Minister of Foreign Affairs Dwít Z'nstro was already critical of Narikaton and Darnussia in a Grand Council debate: "The 'carving the cake' of Beiteynu was a grave mistake, even more so in a situation where one nation gets two-thirds of the pie. One can have doubts about the representation of the local people within this federal framework, what works on paper does not always work in practice." The statement was seen as a careful split from the nation's previous close ally, with even the King having been a resident and close friend of the Thallers during his exile. Minister Z'nstro caught a lot of flak in the media for his statement, and today during a press conference the Prefect Anzlék-Zahr backed him up. Furthermore, she directly condemned the recent Shar-Mearvi Conference: "The world is regressing to times long gone, to those dark times when Luthorians and Hulstrians sat around a table and decided how to carve up the world. To even darker times when Artanians came to the shores of Majatra and forcibly colonised so many of our brothers and sisters. The imperialists of Xsampa are now doing exactly what they did. A nation of supposed socialists and communists should inherently be anti-imperialist. Instead we see how they throw aside all their principles for a swab of land on our sacred continent. I have just one thing to say to Xsampa: imperialism always ends in blood and ashes." The government has called upon nations across the globe to unilaterally condemn the deal between the Nisrad and Xsampa, with the Prefect also making a plea to Narikaton and Darnussia to reconsider their own position in Majatran lands. The cabinet has begun drafting a set of sanctions to be implemented against Xsampa, with the Finance Minister also hoping to include Narikaton and Darnussia but so far the Grand Council is rebelling against the notion of openly 'attacking' a former ally. For now, the King has submitted a request for the Xsampan ambassador to report to his palace on request of the Prefect, if they do not answer these summons sanctions will be immediately put into place. RE: Vanuku - Kubrick - 14-10-2025 ![]() Wiel closes Grand Canal to Xsampa and allies
![]() The Grand Canal in Wrnuke, the recent renovator Istalia may lose access with new stipulations demanded by Wiel.
22 March 5680, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke After the ambassador of Xsampa heeded the summons issued by King Temrkai VII talks proceeded in Wiel between the ambassador and the three senior members of the cabinet, Prefect Duchess Anzlék-Zahr, Minister of Foreign Affairs Z'nstro and Minister of Finance Trmékez. After a three hour meeting the Xsampan ambassador left abruptly and refused to speak to the press, acting clearly agitated. A short moment later Minister Z'nstro announced that the discourse between the two nations had stalled: "Xsampa has shown a deep unwillingness to reconsider their blatant colonialism of Majatra, as such the Kingdom is forced to sever ties and enact the previously discussed sanctions." In a late session of the Grand Council the sanctions package was accepted with a 2/3rd majority the Worldburnerists voted against and the Ztarmojad (Scourge) far-right movement were absent from the session. The stalling of talks between Xsampa and Wrnuke has international consequences too. The Jez Knga (Grand Canal) of Wrnuke has long formed the entryway from Dovani into the Majatran Sea and is for many nations a vital part of their trade route as it avoids using the Migrant's Pass or having to circumvent all the way down south near the Antarctic circle. The canal is currently state-owned and was renovated between 5641 and 5650 through Istalian investments. That same nation may now lose access as they recently accepted the results of the Shar-Mearvi Conference. Prefect Duchess Anzlék-Zahr announced that all nations cooperating and refusing to condemn Xsampan colonialism will also be refused access to the Grand Canal. Wiel has begun negotiating with nations still requesting access, one of these is Egelion which was met with some scepticism by the opposition as they only recently signed a deal with Xsampa. Minister Trmékez however has stated the thawing of relations between Xsampa and Egelion does not mean they approve of colonialism: "Egelion is very committed to the same ideals we are, that Majatra must be free from the rivers to the sea. We are expecting them to comment on the situation soon enough, the talks we had with their ambassador proceeded exceedingly well." The closure of the Grand Canal to 'Xsampa and allies' means that in the comprehensive list of sanctioned nations former ally Narikaton and Darnussia also appears. Public opinion has swung against the Triad after their government announced a new alliance with Luthori. The Artanian decrepit former colonial power has always been a thorn in the side of the Jelbic Kingdom due to their insistence on colonising Beiteynu. Several Yeudish shipping companies were added to the list as well, with the government stating that collaboration with colonial regimes is unacceptable. All nations that have not formally condemned Xsampan colonialism have been blocked from using the Grand Canal, however the government stated that all are welcome to contact their Jelbic ambassadors to negotiate and that all sanctions are lifted as soon as a condemnation is published. RE: Vanuku - Kubrick - 21-10-2025 ![]() Military ramps up rearmament citing global threats
![]() A young female sergeant of the Taghereklemkai Krpz during a winter readiness exercise earlier this month.
6 March 5682, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke With elections coming up next year the Jez Shrmoishto are trying to tackle more popular problems. As part of the economic resurgence plan there have been only limited investments in the military, though several contracts were signed with the defence industry of the Kingdom. A rising political issue within the nation is the isolated state of Wrnuke. Attempts to set up diplomatic relations with Zardugal are met with difficulty, as the nation has gone full isolation. Jelbe is in chaos, and while the nation is actively providing aid it is yet to be seen whether the Jelbic brothers are going to be fruitful allies. In Barmenistan there is a similar isolated silence as from Zardugal. All in all the nation stands alone. Minister of Foreign Affairs Dwít Z'nstro has been in fruitful contact with the ancient allies in Pontesi, and the nation is soon expecting to announce a stronger partnership between the Kingdom and their old friends. Further contacts have also been made with the banking city of Tel Bira, a famously neutral city state that is entering an increasingly precarious situation with the tensions in the Yeudi lands. Amidst all this the impression within Wiel, and the broader population, is that Wrnuke must be able to defend itself from any and all threats. This came as a liberation for Minister of Defence Heijmai Tnés-Pndr, a member of the conservative-liberal Lofrkadé Péashro, the most hawkish partner in the Jez Shrmoishto. The Minister is a scion of the Tnés-Pndr dynasty, one of the recognised 'great families' by the royal house. She herself holds no title, though she has previously served in the armed forces of the Worldburnerist regime. Now she sits as the nominal leader of Wrnuke's military, and in past years she has already pushed through several reforms: "The armed forces were a force of stagnation after the dismantling of Beiteynu, no peacekeeping missions, no interventions, no conflicts. Slowly the military had transformed into a tool of the Politburo to oppress the Jelbic peoples it was supposed to protect. In the last few years we have fully reformed the structure of our armed forces, but now it is time for the next step: rearmament." Minister Tnés-Pndr announced four new contracts for modernised rifles, infantry fighting vehicles (IFV's), fast moving self-propelled artillery, modern drones, and a very substantial new budget for the naval forces. The details of the naval budget were not disclosed to the public, though dozens of refits of Worldburnerist vessels are expected. The two aircraft carriers of the nation are both in drydock at the moment, they were placed here by the transitional government. Minister Tnés-Pndr wishes to see them both return to sea to head two carrier fleets, though she also expressed how valuable the submarine arm of Wrnuke's naval forces is. RE: Vanuku - Kubrick - 22-10-2025 ![]() Altéa and Wiel form new global alliance
![]() The Prefect of Wrnuke, Duchess Jarga Anzlék-Zahr meeting with senior officials from Egelion in Altéa to sign the new pact.
21 March 5682, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke It took half a year of negotiations between both parties before an accord was reached. These talks were deliberately done in secret, according to senior sources within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. But today the government has officially announced a new pact between the Kingdom of Egelion and the Kingdom of Wrnuke. The alliance has been aptly named the Two Lions Pact, as this noble beast is national animal of both nations. Negotiations took longer than usual due to the state of both nations, while modern Wrnuke prides itself on its basis as a full democratic constitutional monarchy the Kingdom of Egelion is an absolutist state under the monarchy. Before the Worldburnerist revolution the two nations were quite alike, according to the Prefect these differences had to be bridged: "A fruitful cooperation comes from a shared vision, in some cases to find that vision you have to talk a bit longer and form a closer bond before you truly realise how similarly aligned your interests are." The Duchess refused to condemn Egelion's system of government, stating that every sovereign nation has their own system that they decide. The alliance between the two monarchies has been named the Two Lions Pact, or Zwiba Sháhazi Vrbndmogad. It is a very close cooperation between the two states, as the nations will commit to full intelligence sharing, complete military cooperation, mutual defence, an extensive trade agreement, and a closely coordinated diplomatic course. With the signing of the Two Lions Pact it is expected that businesses from Egelion will settle in Wrnuke and that ambitious businessmen from the Kingdom will travel to Egelion for their own investments. For now the nations have reiterated their commitment to mutual defence, with a joint military exercise already being planned between the respective Defence Ministries. The Prefect refused to answer any detailed questions about Wrnuke's ambitions regarding Majatra, specifically about Egelion's close economic cooperation with Xsampa. She did however state that Wrnuke will remain committed to the full liberation of the Majatran continent. ![]() The embassy of Istalia in the capital city of Wiel, a building soon expected to be vacant.
8 May 5682, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke The government of the Kingdom of Wrnuke, with written consent of His Majesty the King, has dismissed and deported the ambassador from the Empire of Istalia. The ambassador was dismissed after an abrupt diplomatic row earlier today. After an anti-Jelbic article was published with pro-colonial talking points in the Equilibri Globali journal the government felt prompted to summon the Istalian ambassador to discuss the matter and iron out any grievances between the two states. Minister Z'nstro was quick to remind the ambassador of the fact that in the past soldiers from Wrnuke died on Istalian soil to liberate it from its communist dictatorship and that to hear such accusations from Istalian publications was a slippery slope. Apparently the minister called the article a 'hit piece' against Wrnuke. According to reports this was not taken kindly by the Istalian ambassador who erupted in a 'tirade of insults' against the representatives of King Temrkai. The ambassador allegedly called the entire Kingdom paranoid, alleging that every Jelbic within Wrnuke has a paranoid hatred towards Istalia. Allegations were made that the government of Wrnuke is controlling, saying that all they can do is blackmail other nations. The tirade of insults ended with the ambassador claiming that the entire world was in agreement of how terrible Wrnuke was. This unprompted eruption was met with surprise and shock by the government, who waited until the Istalian ambassador calmed down slightly before agreeing to petition the King to dismiss the ambassador. His Majesty followed his constitutional duty and signed the dismissal shortly after. The Empire of Istalia has been given the option to send a different ambassador.
