RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 24-02-2025 Elections 5617: a new system under analysis
The new electoral body, the parties, the electoral system, the projections for the future
![]() December 5617 The first official Government of the Imperial State of Istalia was installed a few days after the elections with Floria Monaldi confirmed as head of the executive, with the official title of "Minister Imperial Secretary of State, although with a "Council of Imperial State", the new name of the government cabinet, very different from the previous Transitional Government, with the seats for the Patriotic Front largely halved in favor of the Veterans' Party and the Imperial Throne Party.
While the conflict rages on the Peninsula, in Alaria many experts and academics are focusing on the elections and the new political system introduced which has in effect reduced the number of those entitled to vote including all members of the Armed Forces, Resistance fighters, veterans and civilians who contributed to the war effort.
Those entitled to vote
Since the elections were held only on the island of Alaria, which has about 50 million inhabitants, the number of those entitled to vote, based on the electoral cards issued, was 8,287,068.
The number of those entitled to vote was calculated taking into account the approximately 4.8 million combatants of the Armed Forces and the Resistance, the approximately 200 thousand veterans and/or wounded no longer able to bear arms, just over 4 million civilians involved in various ways in the conflict. The combatants also included former members of the Armed Forces of the Socialist Republic integrated into the newly formed Imperial Armed Forces of Istalia. Finally, since most of the Peninsula had not yet been liberated, it was impossible to identify those entitled to vote under the new rules, except for several Resistance cells that were able to send the numbers of their members and a fair number of civilians recognized as collaborators of the Resistance or who assisted the Armed Forces and the Resistance in the very early stages of the liberation campaign, although few of them were able to cast their vote. In total, therefore, we are talking about 17.69% of the Istalian population, much of them from Alaria, of whom the 89,8% expressed their preference.
The Parties
As mentioned when the elections were called, the Provisional Government, despite initial plans to exclude all Communist political parties and movements, ultimately introduced no specific restrictions following, as mentioned, the almost total integration of the former fighting forces of the Socialist Republic into the reconstituted Imperial Armed Forces.
As provided for by the electoral law approved by the National Convention, each party admitted to run in the elections presented two lists, the list for eligible civilians and the list for the military which included also the ones for the Resistance. The lists were posted in the polling stations organized on the Island for civilians, presented to the various departments, divisions, brigades, cells and so on for the military and the Resistance. For both categories, computerized voting terminals were used, made available by a consortium created specifically by several IT companies, including the former State Agency for Post and Communications of the Socialist Republic, specifically placed under the control of the former General Higher Commissioner for the Equipements and the Technological Development of the State Commissariat for the Defense of the RSI, one of the last and most irreducible exponents of the communist regime to surrender to the Resistance and who, considered unfit to be integrated into the new Imperial Army, was placed in a position to be able to sanction the pluralism necessary for holding regular elections free from any shadow of manipulation.
About this last point, a Commission of civilian, mainly accademics from the universities, was charged to control and verify the respect of the electoral rules and the absence of fraud or any sort of manipulation and which take almost a whole month to analyse the results and the general behavior of authorities, parties, etc...
The electoral system
The electoral system adopted for these elections for both the civilian and military lists was a first-past-the-post majority system. The Island of Alaria was divided into 340 constituencies, 16 "virtual" constituencies were reserved for votes from the Peninsula, while the 119 seats reserved for combatants were elected in constituencies designed to ensure an equal number of combatant voters represented for each seat, grouped mainly according to their position within the various departments of the Armed Forces. Given the current situation of the same, the most represented Armed Force was the Army, while 1/5 of these constituencies were reserved for Resistance fighters not officially included in the Armed Forces.
Projections for the future
While the War of Reunification is still ongoing and there are no certain projections for the moment on when it will end, it is unlikely that there will be substantial changes if the next elections are held with the nation still engulfed in the conflict, what is certain is that constituencies will be provided for the lists of civilians in the liberated and secured areas of the Peninsula.
For the post-conflict period, however, the major changes will concern the electoral system and those entitled to vote.
As regards the electoral system, there are already numerous voices that advocate for the introduction of a proportional system and just as many that ask for the introduction of a majoritarian system that guarantees the effective majority of votes for a candidate. In the specific systems, there are multiple possibilities for the proportional system while there are two solutions already foreseen for the majoritarian system, namely the introduction of a second round or the alternative voting system.
As for those entitled to vote, all civilians recognized as having participated in the war effort will be confirmed as entitled to vote, combatants who will be discharged as veterans will be included among the civilians entitled to vote, while the category of those citizens entitled to vote for having performed a national service equivalent to military service will finally be introduced, and already today, when the new electoral law that will be introduced after the war is being prepared in parliament, a whole series of services and occupations have been identified for which civilians will be recognized the right to vote and which concern all emergency services (Fire Brigade, Red Cross, Civil Protection, Police, etc...), voluntary national civil service, therefore a series of occupations will be outlined that will guarantee the acquisition of passive and active political rights after a certain period of time and finally, very probably, the possibility will be provided for by the State to grant electoral rights to those who have distinguished themselves for various merits for the benefit of the Nation. There is currently a debate on whether to recognize public employees' acquisition of the right to vote, although there are positions that even ask, on the contrary, that access to public administration be reserved only to those who have already earned the electoral franchise, aka to those that have completed the military service, which will be as well on voluntary basis, or any other equivalent service as explained above.
RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 26-02-2025 Dundorf state visit and international tour to plead support for the Istalian Cause
War bonds well placed at home and abroad despite the economic difficulties while Armed Forces and Civil Service saw a spike in enrolments
![]() The Emperor, the Dundorfian Foreign Minister Schumacher and Minister Secretary of State Floria Monaldi walking into the orangerie of Residenza delle Arance
February 5618 PONTELASA - The results for the diplomatic efforts of the new Istalian government are paying off: the reapproachement and negotiation with several foreign countries to collect funds for the war efforts and to cope with the humanitarian crisis unleashed by the war are going well and to further plead suppport for the Istalian cause the government is about to send Gran Princess Nicoletta (36 yo), younger daughter of Emperor Mattia, in an international tour in all continents. Princess Nicoletta will meet government officials and through them private actors as well: with her a group of government officials of the Minister of Finance and of the Armed Forces will leave too, working to place war bonds emitted by the Istalian government to public as well as private entities.
The nations that positively welcomed the Istalian's requests and that publicly expressed already their support are Dundorf and Egelion, while among other nations that showed a positive stance to the government there are Narikaton and Darnussia, Luthori, Kalopia and Selucia.
Although some of these nations already underlined that their support will focus on the humanitarian aid, the perspectives for the war efforts are steadily improving as well as for the new Istalian regime which, despite some perplexity raised about the very nationalistic stance of the new political Framework, are finally earning international recognition.
Already two weeks ago, Emperor Mattia alongside the Minister Secretary of State Floria Monaldi welcomed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Dundorf Alexander Schumacher in Pontelasa and they spent a lot of time to talk about the war as well as the future prespectives of a pacified Istalia, eager to rebuild its network of diplomatic as well as economic relations with the international community.
Moreover, the government expressed their satisfation also for how the placement of the war bonds domestically is going, announcing proudly that almost 60 billions of LIS have been already collected and that the forecast says that the figures could increase up to 110 and 120 billions.
About this, Emperor Mattia, welcoming citizens and economic actors of the Nation at the Residenza delle Arance, the provisional residence of the Head of State in the pleasent outskirt of Pontelasa, expressed how the Crown is extremely proud to see such great devotion showed by the population.
In fact, despite the economic difficulties caused by the long years of war, with the GDP having collapsed below 800 billion LIS, and despite the general sacrifices, with the share of available savings having dropped significantly to around 10% of the GDP, families, companies and financial institutions are demonstrating that they are more than willing to face further sacrifices and to allocate a greater share of their income or assets to war bonds.
The Emperor, furthermore, in occasion of a review of the newly enrolled personnel of the Armed Force held in Caleon, expressed also his great satisfation and all the proudness of the Nation to see how many young and less young citizens have run to enlist to the Armed Forces as well as into the Civil Service. A part the patriotic feelings, it is undeniable that the new electoral mechanisms pushed people to join the national service and thus it is expected for the next elections a drastic increase of those entitled of the vote right.
If the former will be trained and send on the Peninsula, those enrolled in the Civil Service will be sent to factories, industrial installation, etc... or will join the Civilian Logistic Network created to support the Military.
Other civilians praised specifically by the Emperor, who visited them in Missel, and to whom the government will recognize the electoral franchise, are those who created the Association for the Victims of Foundamentalism, who is aimed to bring help and to support the families of the victims of the Ahmadi foundamentalists that are continuing to barbarically hit the Istalian population and among which, as underlined by the Emperor, there are also Ahmadi Istalian majatrans fleeing from Quanzar in opposition of the Great Emirate and recognizing themself as Istalian, a sign of hope for a future reconciliation said Emperor Mattia.
RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 27-02-2025 War bulletin: Ferano liberated but in Trivendito Quanzar resists
Imperial Forces repelled from Verunnìa and stalled north around Terebbìa but the new equipements and resources can change the situation
![]() The unfortunate Battle in the outskirt of Verunnìa
July 5618 The winter came with the celebration on the Peninsula for the liberation of Ferano but also with the most tragic bulletin of all the conflict after the Battle of Verunnìa ended in favor of the forces of Quanzar: 12.671 casualties and 23.804 wounded and the Imperial Forces lost the control of the fording points and the only intact bridge along the river Cenosio (outlet of Lake Sovrano and right tributary of the river Merevino) while didn't achieved to overcome the defenses of the Vallo Torbia, the shallow valley where the river Albasio and the river Risodor almost touch before to flow respectively into the lake Firmamento and the Lake Sovrano.
Despite these debacles, generally the forces of Quanzar are losing ground and the Istalians are tightening their grip on Trivendito with only Terebbìa and the surrounding area that still resist along the Trivenditan shores although the arrival of a couple of two old missile cruiser and of an LHD have already caused the loss of the remaining naval forces of Quanzar and the blockade of the city which population, the hope reivigorated by the sight of the Istalian ships, is beginning to rebel.
The funds collected by the government through the very well placed war bonds of the recent months as well as through liberal donation at home as well as abroad allowed the Government to obtain new resurces, armaments and équipements for the Armed Forces, like, for example, new missiles system for the cruiser, which took several months to be installed, or the fuel for helicopters and the ships themself as well as for the ground vehicles, solving a severe shortage that was seriously worrying the high hiérarchies of the Armed Forces and limiting the operations.
![]() Map of the current status of the conflict (Quanzar controlled territories in green, Istalian ones in blue-green)
By the way, with the naval blockade established to Terebbìa, Quanzar is now cut from any form of supply line and with the mounting of the popular surgence all over the territory, the continuing loss and désertions among the regular forces, it is expected that only the irreducibility of the Ahmadi fanatics will continue to hinder and slow the advance of the Istalian troops. The intelligence of the Army counted a number of fanatic militians of about 74,000 men, a very impressive figure which is explained by the arrival of a lot of them among the solentian refugees welcomed by the Quanzari Government since 5594. A lot of militians have cut their teeth in Solentia fighting the civil war, other have been trained in Kafuristan or within the training field of Ahmadi foundamentalist group in several Ahmadi nations of Terra.
Although it is certain the eventual victory of the Istalians, thanks to the overwelming majority of the deployed forces and the ever increasing resource availabel, it will not be achieved unless sacrifices and expected high casualties, also because the Istalian forces already ruled out the use of tactics and strategies that could harm the Istalian population of Quanzar, and although missilistic attacks against centers with majatran majority have been reported, the Ahmadi militians and the remaining of the Emirate forces are using Istalians as human shields placing strategic locations and équipements close to places full of civilians.
RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 28-02-2025 War bulletin: Quanzar is falling!
Despite heavy losses and the violence of the clashes, the Emirate's defenses have collapsed: victory is now near and Istalia is ready to rebuild healthy relations abroad
![]() The Minister of Foreign Affairs Army's Corps General Valerio Salgari speech to the press
April 5619
The news coming from the Sarrentine Peninsula, both from government sources and from independent and international ones, now confirm the situation of the Istalian War of Liberation, as it has been officially defined for several months now: the fall of the Emirate is now imminent and soon the Imperial State of Istalia will be able to triumphantly announce the victory.
The Istalian Armed Forces are strangling the last remains of Quanzar and are pushing simultaneously toward all the last bastions of the Emirate, the cities of Padura, Burìa and Verunnìa. The latter, almost totally surrounded, should fall in few weeks according to the forecast of the high ransk of the Armed Forces, and it is expected that the local military and civilian authorities will surrender, although it is unpredictable the behavior of the almost 6.000 foreigner foundamentalist militianmen in the city which, according to the news from the Resistance informant into the city, are clashing with the Quanzarian authorities and are perpetrating brutality against the istalian civilians, literally held hostage Under the menace of the weapons for fear of insurgency.
The last two years of conflict have certainly been the most intense from the point of view of the clashes on the field and despite several initial debacles, eventually the resistance of the forces of Quanzar have given in to the numerical superiority but above all to the determination of the Istalian forces in liberating their motherland, unlike the vast majority of the Ahmadi militiamen, mostly coming from foreign countries but who nevertheless, driven by fanaticism, have resorted to suicidal tactics that have caused many losses and to reprisals against the Istalian civilian population.
![]() Quanzar positions surrounded and ready to fall (Quanzar in green, Istalia in blue-green) Unfortunately, the last year has also seen the greatest losses of the entire conflict, with the total number of casualties reaching 442,366 for the Armed Forces, almost 47,000 for the members of the Resistance, which during the war absorbed all the partisans and rebels who did not want to join the official Armed Forces and focused on the coordination beyond enemy lines of the various cells and groups, and therefore the losses among civilians, which has now exceeded the heartbreaking figure of 1 million deaths, which are therefore added to the losses reported during the Istalo-Pontesi-Kafuri war and under the occupation, over 1 milion and 200 thousand casualties among the military and 2 million and 900 thousand civilians.
Throughout the south of the Peninsula and on the Island of Alaria, millions of displaced Istalians have been welcomed into reception centers organized thanks to the help and international support gained by the Government, an unexpected result for a country that had seen most of the countries in the world condemn Nevio Russo's war and cooperate in various ways with Pontesi and Kafuri to defeat the Socialist Republic.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Army's Corps General Valerio Salgari, expressed in front of the cameras the Government's deep satisfaction for this result and underlined the country's firm intention to rebuild its network of international relations:
Quote:Mending and re-establishing our international relations after the damage caused by the Socialist Republic was an imperative that the Government set itself and it is the firm intention of the new Istalian state to continue to establish new, peaceful and prolific relations. RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 02-03-2025 The war is over: Istalia celebrates victory!
The Emperor speech to the Nation: "Our determination has triumphed over the enemy; unity and peace restores hope for a brighter future, ready to rebuild and rise again!"
![]() Emperor Mattia speech broadcasted in Palace Square, Romula, crowed with celebrating people 23 November 5619 As soon as the news spread from about 4:45 yesterday morning, when the authorities of Burìa, the last bastion of Quanzar, surrendered to the Istalian forces, millions of people across the country took to the streets and crowded the squares to celebrate the victory but above all the long-awaited peace. As the sun rose on the first day of peace in almost twenty years, more and more people joined the celebrations, while the Armed Forces installed rapidly giant screens in the cities and decorated the streets with the colors of Istalia. At midday, in fact, His Majesty the Emperor gave a speech to the country broadcasted on all radio and television channels and thus reaching the celebrating population in the major Istalian squares. We proudly report the full text of the speech: Quote:People of Istalia, sons and daughters of this great homeland that today rises with a proud face and a heart full of pride! Today, before you, with a soul full of emotion, I speak to you, not only as your Emperor and Sovereign, but as one of you, as a son of this nation that lived, suffered, fought and finally won. It is with renewed pride and honor that today we celebrate the victory, a victory that resonates as the triumph of an entire people! The war of liberation is over! Our nation is free and united! It was not a battle of a few. It was not the struggle of a small group of men and women. No! It was the sacrifice of every single heart that beat for our land, the sweat of every worker who never stopped hoping, the heroism of every fighter who gave everything for the cause of our identity and freedom! We have been tested, but our strength has been greater than any difficulty! We have been mocked and humiliated by those who wanted to break our unity, undermine our roots and erase our history. But we have shown those who thought they could crush us that Istalia is like a millennias-old tree, rooted deep in this land, impossible to uproot! Our determination has triumphed over the enemy! Today, as we celebrate our victory, we turn our thoughts to those who sacrificed their lives for the country. To all our heroes who fell on the battlefield, to those who did not return, but whose spirit lives within us, we pay our deepest homage. They are the flame that continues to illuminate our path, the beacon that guides our future. Their memory is our strength! We will never forget their sacrifice! Now, while the blood of the Istalians stains our beloved devastated land, a new sky opens above us. The war is over, but the real battle, the one we must face now, is that of reconstruction. Our Homeland, although wounded, is ready to flourish again! Every city, every village, every corner of this nation will rise again stronger, bigger and more beautiful than before! And let it be engraved in living stone as an eternal reminder that our unity and our love for the Homeland, our Culture and Freedom are our greatest wealth. With it, no power, no external force will ever be able to divide us! Our identity is untouchable! No one has been able and will ever be able to eradicate our identity, our culture, our spirit! Our Nation is like a bastion that cannot be torn down, a star that cannot be darkened, a fire that will never go out. And to anyone who wants to threaten our existence, anyone who wants to break our peace, anyone who tries to suffocate our people and our freedoms, know that we are and will always be a united people and that our spirit will never be broken! Anyone who tries to undermine our path will face the same fate of defeat. Today, more than ever, our country stands fierce and proud, ready to write a new page in its history. Unity and peace restores hope for a brighter future, ready to rebuild and rise again! Our homeland is once again united, free and eternal! Long live Istalia! ![]() Shots of the celebrations all over the country The celebrations continued all day and night and still today, and will surely continue for several more days, obviously so great is the desire of the Istalians to celebrate peace and joyfully embrace the future that opens up before the country, although the challenges that appear on the horizon are many for a country that not only celebrates but also mourns 5 million deaths and must deal with more than half of its infrastructural, economic and industrial fabric reduced to rubble. RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 05-03-2025 Mattia I of Istalia proclaimed Emperor: a nation in celebration
The official events held in the most important places of power of the Istalian politics mark also the return of the Capital to Romula
![]() The proclamation in the Hall of the Transept at the Palace Res Publica
13 March 5620 ROMULA – Yesterday was a great day for Istalia: the ceremony of proclamation of Mattia I as Emperor of the Istalians and Sovereign of the Imperial State was held in Romula. The event marks also the official restoration of Romula as the Capital of Istalia after almost thirty years, with the traditional palaces of power of Istalian politics that have returned to being the stage of the most important events of the Nation. As had been requested by Mattia I himself at the time of the declaration of the Imperial State at the beginning of the century, the return of peace was awaited to officially commemorate the beginning of the reign of the first Sovereign of the Imperial State and eighteenth Emperor of the Istalians, 337 years after the last proclamation, the one of Tommaso IV Asahi, and 303 years after the abolition of the Third Empire.
The celebrations began at 9 am, with the Emperor end the Imperial Family visiting the Imperial Mausoleum of Istalia, where the predecessors of Matteo I and the most illustrious ancestors of the Imperial House of Istalia rest.
In the presence of the State authorities, a massive deployment of military forces and an equally large representation of veterans of the civil war, the Emperor solemnly laid a wreath of flowers at the base of the steps leading to the entrance and then relit the perpetual flame in front of the Mausoleum, an extremely heartfelt and symbolic gesture that represents the rebirth of an entire country that like the mythical phoenix is reborn from its ashes.
After a solemn flag-raising ceremony, accompanied by the traditional anthem of mourning, the victims of the recent conflict were remembered and commemorated, than the Emperor and his entourage returned to Palazzo Quattroregni, came back to be the official residence and workplace of the Head of State, to prepare for the parade.
Troops from every component of the Armed Forces, platoons of the Police and the main security services of the Country, and a large representation of the National Civil Service, starting from Palazzo Quattroregni, preceding the state cars with the authorities, the Imperial Family and the Emperor, paraded through the streets of Romula decorated for the event towards Palazzo Res Publica, also fully adorned in the previous day as well as cleaned after thirty years left to itself, especially the impressive granite reliefs installed on the facades under the Third Empire and created at the time to commemorate some of the most important events of the Istalian history.
![]() Troops of the proclamation parade outside the Palace Res Publica accordingly adorned for the event At Palazzo Res Publica, seat of the Parliament, in the majestic Sala del Transetto (Hall of the Transept), renovated in the current modernized Augustan style under the Third Empire, Matteo I was officially proclaimed Emperor of Istalia, in the presence of course of the highest offices of the State, the heads and a large representative of the Armed Forces, numerous parliamentarians expressing all political groups and therefore representatives of various foreign nations that supported Istalia during the war, such as Egelion, Narikaton & Darnussia, Kalopia, Selucia and Luthori.
After the proclamation, the Emperor moved to the Assembly Hall of the National Congress where, in the presence of the entire parliament and government assembled, he held his solemn oath as Emperor and Sovereign.
The Emperor and his entourage returned to Palazzo Quattroregni around midday followed by all the guests at the ceremony. From the main balcony of the Palace, Matteo I and the Imperial Family, with only the Minister Secretary of State as an "outsider", officially representing the Government, greeted the cheering crowd that filled the Palace Square in a riot of flags and applause, crowned by the passage of the Air Force acrobatic squadron and the echo of the traditional 21 cannon shots fired simultaneously from Fort Memertino, on the Mamerte hill, from the Piazzale delle Armi (Square of Arms), at the Defense District, and from the Torrione del Duca Carlo (Tower of Duke Carlo), near the Ducal Palace, the east wing of Palazzo Quattroregni.
The celebrations continued with a sumptuous reception held in the neoclassical Great Hall of the Palace, followed by a more convivial party in the gardens enlivened in the evening by spectacular fireworks.
At the same time, a large concert in Palace Square entertained the population throughout the afternoon and night. There was not a restaurant, bar or other social gathering place that was not packed with people joining in the celebrations and in conjunction with the fireworks display at the Palace, the skies of the entire city lit up with the vivid colors of other countless fireworks.
Throughout Istalia, the day, proclaimed a national holiday, was marked by events of all kinds, from concerts to popular demonstrations, continuing until late at night. An entire nation united in the name of history and continuity, welcoming the new Emperor with enthusiasm and participation.
RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 05-03-2025 Istalia: a trip to a country in full reconstruction
The Reconstruction plan between humanitarian emergencies, debts and a ruined lands on the eve of elections
![]() August 5622 Almost three years have passed since the end of the Patriotic War of Liberation, as the long conflict that has plagued Istalia and its people for twenty years has been officially defined, and there is only one month left until the next elections, which will be the second under the new regime of the Imperial State of Istalia, and will be the true litmus test of Floria Monaldi's Government, the occasion to verify whether the Istalians are satisfied or not with the measures implemented by the Government to deal with the reconstruction.
In January 5620, after the euphoria of victory had subsided, the Government presented its plan for the post-war reconstruction of the country, officially called "Great National Program for Reconstruction and Recovery" but unofficially called "Astori-Malvasio Plan", from the names of the two main creators leading the ad hoc committee created by the Government. It is a strategy for rapid, sustainable and growth-oriented reconstruction based on four main pillars: political and economic stability, infrastructural reconstruction, industrial and technological relaunch, and international openness.
The plan was outlined taking into account the characteristics of the country that despite the absence of great strategic natural resources can boast a high level of education and training by virtue of its history, the great entrepreneurial and work-oriented propensity that has always distinguished the Istalians, as well as the matchless artistic heritage and the strong scientific tradition of the country.
The Four Pillars of the Reconstruction Plan 1. Political and Economic Stability
This has been considered the fundamental starting point to give new impetus to the country, to attract and encourage investments and guarantee growth, and to pursue this objective the Guvernement has aimed to:
2. Infrastructure Reconstruction
Infrastructure reconstruction has obviously been considered a crucial point to relaunch the country's economy, attract investments and re-improve the quality of life of citizens. Considering that over half of the infrastructures have been destroyed and reduced to ruins, it was necessary to create a detailed plan that took into account efficiency, sustainability and financeability.
The "Imperial Ente per la Ricostruzione Nazionale" (Imperial Authority for National Reconstruction), the IMERIN, was created, with special powers to coordinate the work, prevent corruption and ensure transparency. IMERIN completely absorbed the Central Institute of Finance and Investment of the Socialist Republic, it purchased the shares of some of the largest banking institutions in the country, such as the Banco Nazionale Popolare di Romula, Fincredit Group and Cassa Nazionale di Risparmio (all institutions already partly controlled by the state under the Socialist Republic), which were in precarious if not drastic financial situations to initiate a restructuring of the Institutes and to take control of the state holdings they owned on behalf of the state. By absorbing the Central Institute of Finance and Investment and the industrial holdings of the country's largest financial groups, IMERIN became the owner of over 20% of the country's entire share capital, controlling virtually all state-owned companies of Socialist heritage, AUDISS included, the once largest megacorporation of the country and among the largest worldwide under the Third Empire, and a considerable portion of the former public-private companies and the few remaining private ones (still authorized under the Social Republic for their efficiency and strategic role).
By mobilizing the most important economic resources of the country, IMERIN has become the real operational body of the Astori-Malvasia Plan, which has given priority to key infrastructures (transport, energy and telecommunications), essential to ensure economic functioning, but in the design and selection of these strategic projects IMERIN has focused on modern and sustainable infrastructures, such as smart cities designed with sustainability criteria, electric mobility and green spaces, sustainable construction through the use of low environmental impact materials and anti-seismic solutions, infrastructure control systems through the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence to prevent failures and reduce maintenance costs.
These are the main infrastructure projects carried out by IMERIN divided by sector:
The repair or total reconstruction of the road and railway network has begun, intervening on the main motorways and railways with particular attention to the connections between cities and production areas.
As regards ports and airports, essential for foreign trade, rebuilt and renovetion works has started using modern technologies, especially with regard to logistics and rapid customs clearance.
For urban public transport, as mentioned, the focus has been on shared transport, with the reconstruction of subways, trams, light rails, metrorails, and electric buses or powered by low environmental impact fuels. The strengthening of public transport will be essential to reduce congestion and improve mobility in cities.
Everything has been focused on renewable energy with the financing and construction of solar, wind and hydroelectric plants, but to pursue the goal of energy independence the Government aims for the country, it has also decided to focus on the latest generation of nuclear power.
The interventions on the water network is an opportunity for its modernization with the implementation of smart grids to reduce waste and improve distribution.
Priority has been given to the reconstruction of aqueducts and purification systems, also with wastewater recycling technologies.
Fiber optics and reconstruction of the network based on the latest technologies to relaunch the digital economy and attract technology companies has been a fundamental point on which to intervene.
The push for the digitalization of the public administration aims to reduce bureaucracy and ensure greater efficiency to create a favorable environment for investments, which have been aimed at incentivizing tech companies through incentives for digital startups and for companies that invest in the digital transformation of the country.
Despite the large role of the public sector, mixed public-private financing has been planned for the reconstruction, attracting foreign capital and domestic private investments. The mixed financing plan, therefore, uses public funds from international loans, institutional investors, through long-term bonds guaranteed by the State and linked to economic growth, and a share of the state budget; private investments are obtained through public-private partnerships (PPP) and long-term concessions. To these have been added donations and international aid in collaboration with various organizations aimed at development and financial and economic support.
The reconstruction plan, moreover, had the additional objective of promoting work and training, with the large public works plan also designed to absorb unemployment and retrain workers and former combatants.
3. Industrial and Technological Recovery
As already mentioned, the focus of the Astori-Malvasio Plan was on high value-added sectors and investments have been planned in the sectors of technological development and scientific research, in the sectors of renewable energy, biomedicine, advanced engineering, artificial intelligence and precision manufacturing.
Special economic zones were created in almost all cities of the country to favor startups and technology companies by offering them tax and bureaucratic incentives for the creation and growth of innovative companies.
Then the focus was on the enhancement of human capital by directing resources to universities and research centers.
4. International Opening and Tourism
The Government is working hard for the definitive removal of all sanctions that have affected the country due to the Nevio Russo War and for the reintegration of the country into global markets, through active diplomacy to reopen trade and sign economic agreements.
Fortunately, the conflict spared the country's great historical and artistic centers and since the cultural and natural heritage of the country is one of the jewels and most exclusive resources of Istalia, the Government has aimed to encourage high-level cultural tourism and to create international events to generate revenue. Another objective pursued by the Government has been the development of policies, mainly offering tax breaks and professional opportunities, to convince for the repatriation all those expatriate Istalians who left the country during the war but also under the Seventh Republic and the Socialist Republic to escape the economic depression that caused the country to collapse to the bottom of the international rankings (the 5560 report caused a veritable scandal and among the others it can be considered one of the motivations behind the authoritarian shift of the Socialist Republic unable to face such a poor situation).

Monaldi was reconfirmed at the helm of the executive thanks to the strong recovery of her party, stably in alliance with the Veterans Party which, totally aligned with FPI after the stabilization of the new political framework, now expresses the positions of the military close to the Minister Secretary of State, and which will support the government together with the Istalian Falange, a party born on the eve of the previous elections to express the most right-wing positions of Monaldi's then entourage, and which, having emerged more independently as a xenophobic and conservative far-right force, has exploited together with Monaldi's coalition the issue that has become central in these elections to increase its numbers.
The significant shift in the vote of the Istalians towards the right, in fact, occurred essentially because of the problem that influenced the vote in general throughout Istalia, but especially in Trivendito and Ferano, the most affected regions, namely the Solentian refugees crisis.
We are talking about over 480 thousand Solentians deliberately brought in en masse and in large numbers during the civil war in Solentia by the Government of the Great Emirate of Quanzar in collaboration with the Government of Kafuristan. Denounced by the Patriotic Front at the beginning of the century when it was still fighting the communist regime, Monaldi Government, riding the wave of widespread sentiment among the Istalians, continued to blame what was indicated as a move of veritable demographic engineering, or the deliberate attempt to permanently settle the Solentians in the country and therefore increase the demographic weight of the Majatrans, to strengthen what many were denouncing as an apartaid regime against the Istalians.
The Falange has found fertile ground in the northern regions of the Peninsula, where resentment towards the authorities of Quanzar and in general towards the Majatran population has reached worrying levels. After the conflict, the Armed Forces first and then the Police Forces had to intervene many times to prevent clashes and reprisals by groups of Istalian extremists against the Majatran population and refugees. The Majatran communities in Istalia, after the conflict, have been marginalized, both by the population and by the authorities, several villages and towns in Trivendito with a Majatran majority have been particularly affected during the last stages of the civil war and little is being done in those areas during the reconstruction, areas that have also become designated points for the accommodation of the Solentians, totally marginalized from the social fabric, with the countryside of northern Sarrentine Peninsula propped up by refugees camps, who are also lodged in mosques, gyms, sports fields, etc...
The army has created health cordons around the refugee camps mainly for their safety but also effectively to isolate them, since it is the government's firm intention to have them repatriated, in line, as mentioned, with the general feeling among the Istalian population.
In Trivendito and Ferrano the demonstrations have multiplied and the common cry is only one: "send them home, we don't want them!"
Very few are the voices advocating in favor of the refugees, and even among the ranks of the Socialist Democratic Party and the Democratic Hosian Union, the largest groups of the opposition, the dominant position is that the Solentian refugees are not welcomed and should be repatriated.
Unfortunately, the relations between the Istalian Government and the Emirate of Solentia are practically non-existent, the Istalian Government of the Imperial State has never recognized the Emirate, and indeed considers it simply a rogue state, a fundamentalist regime who sized a country in disarray, and not even from the Solentian side has there been any recognition.
The majority during the election campaign promised to solve the problem, now that the new government has taken office it will be its priority to address the issue whose solution, the only one contemplated by the Government and actually by most part of the population, is only one: send all refugees back to Solentia or, alternatively, find them a new home elsewhere, but any other solution that contemplates a prolonged stay or any form of settlement is excluded.
To do so, however, it will probably be necessary to involve third parties at the international level to be able to interface with Solentia and therefore resolve the issue once and for all.
RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 12-03-2025 The new Imperial House of Istalia illuminates the hopes of the country
The Crown is at the forefront of the collective effort of the nation that despite the many difficulties is imbued with optimism for the future
May 5623 ROMULA - Reconstruction is proceeding at a rapid pace, but some objectives are accumulating delays mainly due to the resources that despite the good placement of the war bonds have still been rather limited, especially due to the growing ostracism of some of the world's largest economies and exporters of strategic resources. Electricity in most regions of the Peninsula is still carefully rationed, unemployment, although rapidly falling, is still a problem in some areas, and especially in the northwest and northeast countless Istalians in all large and small cities are still forced to stand in long lines with their ration cards in hand, while in the Peninsula the shelves of shops and supermarkets still remain half empty. In the north of the peninsula, moreover, resentment and opposition are growing towards the Majatrani refugees, over 480 thousand men, women and children whose reception camps dot the countryside and the outskirts of the cities, and whose fate is now tied to the international efforts of the government to seek logistical and diplomatic assistance for their repatriation or eventual transfer. Despite all these difficulties, the government has already assured that it is working hard to address them but, above all, among the Istalian population there is palpable optimism and hope for a prosperous and bright future having now left behind the horrors and difficulties of the war. It is not surprising, therefore, that this year there has already been a boom in births throughout the country, a rate of around 18 births per 1000 inhabitants and it is expected that in the next five years the peak will reach even 25 births per 1000 inhabitants. The new Imperial House of Istalia also contributes to the recovery in this sense, and not only. In fact, a few days ago, the announcement by the re-established Household of the Imperial Crown of the new pregnancy of Crown Princess Claudia, therefore expecting her fourth child, arrived. With the restoration of the Imperial Household, the Imperial House proceeded to re-establish the internal organization of the Family and with a Crown decree, Emperor Matthias outlined only a month ago the official definitive structure of the House and the rules that will regulate its membership and functioning. The members of the Imperial Family, that is, the immediate family nucleus of the reigning Emperor, who can therefore be entrusted with official duties of the Crown, have the right to an appanage from the state and are at the top of the order of succession, are the following: - Emperor Mattia I (72) - Empress Eva (64, née Nagy-Vitiliani from an Endralonian-Istalian family of industrialists) --- Imperial Gran Prince of the Crown Alessandro (46) --- Imperial Gran Princess of the Crown Claudia (41, née Corlione-De Crescenti from the once princely House of Corlione, created under the Third Empire) ------ Imperial Gran Prince Tommaso (17) ------ Imperial Gran Prince Nicola (14) ------ Imperial Gran Princess Michela (9) --- Imperial Gran Prince Paolo (42) --- Imperial Gran Princess Christelle (40, née Montagnier from a Kanjorian socialite family of entrepreneurs) ------ Imperial Princess Henriette Marie (19) ------ Imperial Princess Sophie (13) ------ Imperial Prince Mattia (11) All other members of the House of Appiano-Solari, instaed, are members of the Imperial House but, although they remain in the line of succession to the Throne, they do not have institutional roles and duties and do not receive any appanage from the state. They are currently the three younger brothers of the Emperor and their families, namely, Prince Michele and his wife, with two daughters, Princess Jolanda and Princess Elisa and her husband, with two sons and a daughter. The Crown, as mentioned, is doing its part to alleviate the difficulties that the population is facing, and as happened during the war, this time too the use of the historic GFCAB, the Imperial Family-owned private financial banking and asset management group, has been strategic, having survived like the family the vicissitudes of time thanks to the deep ramifications prudently established in many countries of Terra and which have allowed it to survive even the Endralonese civil war. Through personal and GFCAB resources, the Imperial Household is making considerable resources available to assist the displaced, still hundreds and hundreds of thousands, and to support the government's efforts to provide them with basic necessities. The residences made available by the state to the Crown, including several spaces in Quattroregni Palace, are being used to house the displaced, but this has also been the case for many private properties returned to the family after almost two years of research in the country's land registry archives and after rigorous land valuations. The process of re-privatization of the economy inherited from the Socialist Republic was also partly supported by the GFCAB, which, through an agreement with the state that provided for a series of instruments to protect it, became the leader of a joint venture of other banking and credit institutions for the creation, together with IMERIN, the Imperial Authority for National Reconstruction, of the "Società di Gestione e Liquidazione degli Asset" ("Company for Asset Management and Liquidation"), which will have the onerous task of liquidating and their management of all those economic-industrial assets totally lost by the conflict, taking on the debts contracted by the state industrial apparatus of the RS and by private individuals, essentially other once state-owned banking groups, parastatal institutions and citizens with businesses with fewer than 30 workers, and also the management and liquidation of their movable and immovable assets. The agreement, signed by Monaldi Government towards the middle of last year, was approved in September by the National Congress, with only the New Party of the Istalian Communists opposing it while the Democratic Hosian Union voted in favor and the Democratic Socialist Party abstained, and was promulgated at the beginning of November, giving back hope above all to the many small entrepreneurs, as mentioned not touched by the reforms of the Socialist Republic and remaining a heritage of the nation that has always been able to boast among the pillars of its economy such a flourishing undergrowth of small and medium-sized businesses, many of which are family-run. Especially in the peninsula, entrepreneurs of small and medium-sized enterprises have been one of the categories most affected by the conflict and occupation, many reduced to penury with the destruction of property and equipements, many others instead forcibly expropriated of their companies, in many cases cannibalized by unscrupulous Pontesian fixers and entrepreneurs in the south, and largely cannibalized or destroyed during the war in the north, the main beneficiaries of such expropriations being the leaders of the Emirate and of the terrorist groups that entered the country with their militiamen. RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 12-03-2025 Increase in international recognition strengthens Istalia
The Government responds firmly to Deltaria and Kafuristan: "We need neither the recognition nor the approval of governments that oppress their citizens and welcomes terrorists"
![]() Foreign Minister Army's Corps General Valerio Salgari
December 5623 ROMULA - Months have passed since the declarations by Deltaria and Kafuristan with which both their government refused to recognize the legitimacy of the re-established Government of Istalia granting their recognition instead to the Grand Emirate of Quanzar and their government-in-exile haroberd in Kafuristan, and to an unidentified entity defined by both governments as the "Republic of Alaria", probably refering to the supprimed Socialist Republic of Alaria superseeded by the government of the Imperial State of Istalia. The Government's decision to finally respond to these provocations comes as international recognition for Istalia increases, with more and more diplomatic delegations returning to occupy embassies in Romula, and with the further issuance and placement of government bonds certifying the trust that has returned to Istalia at an international level. The government is working hard to negotiate new economic and trade agreements, and in view of a possible large international conference that, according to rumors coming from Egelion, King Romulus I intends to organize in the aftermath of these last decades characterized by conflicts in almost all continents, including the Istalian one, but also the disastrous nuclear epilogue of the conflict between Xampa and Beiteynu, the revolutions in western Majatra, the conflicts in northern Seleya and in Kundrati, last but not least the spread of extremist ideologies and regimes, the Government aims to partecipate to further increase Istalia's international visibility and to expand its contacts and establish new relationships. The participation of numerous delegations of foreign governments at the Proclamation of the Emperor had already strengthened the country's position at an international level and certainly the participation in a possible international conference will be a further confirmation for the credibility of the country. This is the official statement of the Government of the Imperial State of Istalia released by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations Army's Corps General Valerio Salgari: This is the official statement from the Government of the Imperial State of Istalia: Quote:The Government of the Imperial State of Istalia takes note of the statements from Deltaria and Kafuristan with the indifference that is reserved for such authoritarian regimes, where the very concept of legitimacy is emptied of all meaning and reduced to a mere imposition of force. It is not surprising that the Thallers, accustomed for generations to confusing law with dynastic whim, do not even understand what "legitimacy" truly means. For them, governing means standing on a throne and demanding obedience, while for us it means serving the people and respecting their sovereign will. |
