Hulstria and Gao Soto - Doc - 23-02-2025 http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=698633 Passed: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=698377 Approved by Moderation: http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=8606&p=191358#p191358 Mikuni-Hulstria, also known as Hulstria and Gao-Soto, is a nation on the continent of Dovani with a unique culture, a blend of RL Japanese and German-speaking cultures in a post-colonial context. Its history was marked by alternating periods of conflict and cooperation between the creole Hulstrian people (based on RL Austrians) and the indigenous Kunihito (Japanese) people, culminating in the emergence of a mixed Hulstro-Sowan ethnic group. Due to recent discrimination of the ethnic Kunihito population, their number has decided. Under the hulstrian suprematist regime of Klaus Eliya, almost half of the Kunihito population has fled the country, and only half of these refugees has returned home once the civil war was over. During the regime, hulstrian and creole population has also increased due to natalist policies. Dapuraiburu (a Hulstro-Mikun neologism, from Dundorfian "Da bleiber" meaning the one(s) who stay) are those refugees who decided not to come back. Half of them (almost 5000k) are in Sekowo, the rest of the diaspora is in other West Dovanian countries, in Kalistan or in Istalia. Several reintegration programs for Dapuraiburu people have been unsuccessful. Since the admission of Mikuni-Hulstria in the West Dovanian Union, the number of foreigners has increased, especially those of Kyo ethnicity. ---ETHNICITY--- » Hulstro-Showan (mixed Austrian-Japanese) - 41% » Kunihito (Japanese) - 28% » Hulstrian (Austrian) - 20% » Sekowan (Okinawan) - 6% » Kyo (Korean) - 2% » Others - 3% ---RELIGION--- ⁶ » Hosianism (Christianity) - 31% -- Confessional Luthoranism (High Church Lutheranism) - 25% -- Aurorian Patriarchalism (Catholicism) - 6% » Daenism (Buddhism) - 22% -- Maitrayana (Mahayana) - 11% -- Zensho (Zen) - 11% » Kamism (Shinto) - 21% » Jienism (Confucianism) - 12% » Irreligious -10% » Mikun New Religions (Japanese New Religions) - 1% » Thetanism (Scientology) - 1% » Other - 2% ---LANGUAGE--- The main languages in the nation are Kunikata (Japanese) and Hulstro-Mikun, a Dundorfian (German)-based creole language heavily influenced by Kunikata. Standard Kunikata is more formal, while everyday language is heavily hybridised. In addition to these, Dundorfian has also regained importance and is a co-official language.
