Discord notifications for Legacy - GreekIdiot - 06-05-2025 As per a discussion with @Zanz the other day, the new architecture includes the following Discord webhooks: #newsfeed #activity #docket #ticker #logs Logs only include errors and some non-errors to track some cases. Who should be added? Docket only receives new requests from players and includes who made the request and a link that opens the details directly on the site. The view there includes approve/decline buttons directly. Ticker includes only the date and any super major notifications that impact gameplay, i.e. if the date API is disabled and time freezes. Newsfeed, as it is now: News posts every 30 minutes (starting at 00:01) Yearly recaps at the last ticker of a year's month (December, last hour) Activity includes notifications on new requests (exactly the same as Docket) - players will be able to comment objections. Also includes activity when players, mods and admins make actions on the site: When primaries/secondaries are added, removed or leave themselves When third-party tools are added or deleted When newsfeed keywords are assigned (not unassigned) When orgs are added (not deleted) When treaties are added (not deleted) When unions are added (not deleted) When populations are updated When dynasties are added or updated (not deleted) When real-life equivalents are added (not deleted) When religions are added (not deleted) When game settings are changed - some major ones impacting gameplay (i.e. date is paused) will hit the ticker instead When nations are added, moved, renamed or deleted When continents are added, renamed or deleted When cultural protocols are updated When map coordinates are added or updated (not deleted) Keep in mind that when a request is approved it won't be duplicated. It won't say "Nick approved Zanz for primary in Kimlien" AND "Nick added Zaz in Kimlien", it will just say "Nick added Zanz in Kimlien" with a checkbox. Activity notifications will also show up in a Twitter-style feed on the homepage of the site for logged-in users, as well. - Requests additionally will include a "report" form and an "apply for moderation" (both will be private and hit the private docket channel only).
