5715: Seabass Conference - GreekIdiot - 05-03-2026 8 October 5715 ~ Grand Yeudiot Hotel, Tel Bira, City State of Tel Bira A panel consisting of analysts, experts and delegates from the public and private sectors are due to arrive from Bianjie. They will be joined by their counterparts from Tel Bira. The agenda includes discussing plans, actions, policies and concerns on both sides, around finance, trade and commerce. RE: 5715: Seabass Conference - journey - 05-03-2026 Bianjian delegation, led by the finance minister Ilha Kesiketeng, as well leaders of the banking sector and other public and private enterprises arrived to the Grand Yeudiyot Hotel in the city of Tel Bira, on the western coast of what once was called Beiteynu. This marks a first time in a long time, since Bianjian official stood on the former Beiteynuese land. For Bianjie delegation in Tel Bira, the only thing that truly matters is commerce, finance and business, no more, no less. And while there is some uncertainty and suspicion, there is also interest to work with those who present themselves as neutral, as well not aligned to the Amudim state interests. RE: 5715: Seabass Conference - GreekIdiot - 05-03-2026 Caleb Greedman, Head of the International Neset Fund Quote:Esteemed colleagues, Helena Le'avit, Head of the Central Bank of Amudim Quote:We stand at a crossroads, as it seems. The Central Bank of Amudim, the International Neset Fund [tilts head to Greedman] and the Finance Office of Amudim itself are under the close watch of the City State of Tel Bira and away from Yishelem's own central government tendrils. RE: 5715: Seabass Conference - journey - 06-03-2026 Ilha Kesiketeng, Minister of Finance of Bianjie Quote:First of all, I would like to thank you for invitation, and it is a pleasure to be here. I do believe that at this point our national economic ideology is persuing stability, both financially and diplomatically, but at the same, we highly value international cooperation with countries who do not stand in the way of our shared interest, that is, in my opinion, prosperity. So, we are interested in working alongside you. RE: 5715: Seabass Conference - GreekIdiot - 06-03-2026 Helena Le'avit, Head of the Central Bank of Amudim Quote:It sounds like Bianjie and its institutions struggle with the same conundrum as we do: balancing two or more opposing forces. Sitting in the middle. Undecided on committing to a direction? We understand the issues of a common currency. We've never been party to such a collective cause of its inherent lack of flexibility. It is the foundation of Yeudi capitalism, after all; flexibility. We're the middleman economy, sometimes for better, sometimes for worse. In fact, we voiced opposition to past attempts in both Majatra and Artania, in ages past. But we do frameworks and networks rather well. May I suggest something? Instead of a common currency, what if all Dovanian currencies remained independent, but an index currency measured against all these - and their fluctuations. You have a central financial instrument in the collective, which simply expresses all individual components. GEMEX handles the trades on that, including derivatives, on behalf of Dovani; no ideology is infringed upon - in theory - and the rest of Terra can operate on that index currency, including any listings in other major exchanges. That might prove to be one of the biggest financial boosts in terms of investment confidence Bianjie could witness. Not a common currency. But a framework currency...? [eyes the Head of the INF with a strict look] Mr. Greedman, we're not here to shove the Bankaut down the throats of everyone we encounter. Please resist the urge to make this obscene with a sales pitch. ~ OOC: Cause a couple of you asked me, no, there's no plot. Journey and me are just going back and forth to help each other's thoughts with some easy 1-1 RP, since we're both long-form blocked atm. RE: 5715: Seabass Conference - journey - 06-03-2026 Ilha Kesiketeng, Minister of Finance of Bianjie Quote:So basically, what are you proposing is, to, say, make both g'an and Gemun Stock Exchange as the sort of central Dovanian financial tools, that will be used to help financial operation both within and out of the continent, to basically replace what has been Lourennais franc's mission before their slow downfall of world domination, if I am getting you right here. RE: 5715: Seabass Conference - GreekIdiot - 06-03-2026 Helena Le'avit, Head of the Central Bank of Amudim Quote:Depends. Would you be willing to peg your national currency as an index to all Dovanian currencies? It depends on how much Gemun wants to double-down on a Dovanian collective. I can see colleagues from both sides of the aisle shifting nervously. Obviously assurances would be guaranteed. Guardrails. Enhanced overwatch. Thresholds. That sort of stuff. But I think the most sensible thing to do is have Bianjie issue the new index currency, and the g'an can be one of its components. And have GEMEX handle it as the door to the rest of Terra, without, of course, barring other Dovanians from doing their own currency-related business with others, independently. All Dovanians and those doing business with Gemun, will have to accept trading with the index currency, which is, not exactly a currency, but an asset. A medium expressing value. Like a stock market index? But instead of companies, you have currencies. The more valued a currency, the larger its impact. Up and down, however, which is quite the risk for those betting on it. - I appreciate the openness to Mr. Greedman's pitches; but it is well-known that the INF's agenda is to spread Yeudi middleman economics, through the diaspora, everywhere it can be spread. So, forgive me for being stern about it, but my position stands: I'd bet good money right now that Mr. Greedman wants to explore expanding the Bankaut to the whole of Dovani through a cooperation with Bianjie. It is prudent to emphasize [looks at Greedman sternly] that our colleagues and counterparts from Bianjie have made the journey to Tel Bira on a mutual understanding of good faith. Greedman looks almost sweaty - after all, Le'avit was his professor and he still carries her idiotic ethical standards class as a chip on his shoulder, 24 years later. This high and mighty moral ground BS was always a thorn to his 237-million-worth capitalist heart. RE: 5715: Seabass Conference - journey - 06-03-2026 Ilha Kesiketeng, Minister of Finance of Bianjie Quote:Yes, obviously, I think pegging g'an is not the brightest and bestest idea, because it is not quite strong, despite all of my patriotic feelings and hopes for its bigger role, which I am sure we will be working on [looks at Bank of Bianjie president Taksi Cemgun], and clearly, even though I wanna believe in the greater Dovanian project, one cannot be 100% sure about it not suddenly collapsing one day, so we must not also get too attached and try to revolve everything around it. |
