Before Prince Leon Alexander takes the throne of Egelion, King Artemio has sent Royal Councilor Mondragon II to Tel Bira to engage in what may be one of the most important diplomatic missions since the beginning of Artemio's reign. Royal Councilor Mondragon departed from Altea-Nord International Airport this morning, just shortly after visiting the king at Sorsuela Palace. The royal councilor himself preparing to retire after this trip and let his daughter, Andrea Mondragon, take up his spot within the council.

Royal Councilor Mondragon II's mission is clear: create diplomatic expectations for Tel Bira, following weeks of incessant tensions inflamed by Tel Bira itself. Even Royal Councilor Cascabel made statements at the IDE that welcomed Tel Bira to Altea in hopes of reaffirming Altea's commitment to cooperation on a global scale. Royal Councilor Mondragon II stated to the press before he left that he is:

"travelling to Tel Bira to sign the Bankaut treaty and ensure that Tel Bira reaffirms their good relationship with Egelion. We understand that they have an embassy here in the Royal District, among others, so we would really like to finally iron out those details."

The Royal Councilor will be in Tel Bira for three days to sign the treaty and to go sightseeing since no other official from Egelion has visited recently. Details of the trip will be sent to the Prince of Amateria, who will review the information as his reign nears.

A historic day has come to Keris as the Egelian Royal Government, the New Endralonian Regency Council and the Nadiyan Parliament have all agreed to create and join a a new Kerisian Empire. The Kerisian Empire is a loose collection of independent sovereign states, all under the leadership and reign of the Montalivet-Syldavia dynasty. The new Kerisian Empire comes after Leon Alexander was crowned King of Egelion and King of New Endralon and Kizenia. Princess Maria Carolina Anastasiana was elected and crowned Tsarina of Nadiya the day after. the coronation of Leon Alexander, or Leon Alejandro in the common tongue, was held at the Basilica of Our Lady of Egelion in Altea. The procession, led by the Arch-Patriarch of Canrille, concluded after three hours. the 24 year old at the same time became King of Egelion and of New Endralon and Kizenia.

Miles north, Princess Maria Carolina, sister of King Leon, was crowned Tsarina of Nadiya after the abdication of the Tsarina Anastasia Alexanderovna. After she was named Tsarina, history was made as it meant that two separate Montalivets made it onto the thrones of three separate countries. Once the younger sister of the King, Carlota, marries the Deltarian emperor, the Montalivets will be on four different global thrones, marking asignificant moment of power for the dynasty. The coronation in Altea was enjoyed by millions in Keris. King Leon alexander has positioned himself as a "pacifist and an "ardent follower of enlightened policies". During his first speech to the nation, he pledged to continue support for the well-being of all of New Endralon and to continue Egelion's amiability in the international community.

King Leon Alexander also hopes to create a deeper integration within the Kerisian continent itself. The status of the empire, according to him, will not be a typical empire, rather a partnership of multiple nations with lesser restrictions, increased cooperation, and mutual defense. the concept of empire is different to many. King Leon says that the status of empire will not change Egelion's attitude with Keris, but deepen the relationships instead. King Leon Alexander is said to go to Istalia and Deltaria for "royal arrangements" in the near future. For now, the Kerisian Empire will begin further integrations. It is expected that the king will invite representatives from Keris to iron out the deals of the empire and begin a common foreign policy. God Save the King! God save the Tsarina!

With the ascension of Leon Alexander to the throne and an aging Royal Council, the King has decided to shuffle the royal council and call new members to fill the spots. The Royal Council is a 5 seat-hereditary council that advises and carries out the King's order. The council represents Egelion on a national and global scale. The 5 seats of the council are held by the five more powerful and historic Egelian noble families.

• The Montalivets from Amateria hold one position. This is a separate branch from the current dynasty on the throne. They are cousins to the royal family. The Montalivets live at the Montalivet estate in central Amateria. They control decisions regarding the military and different industries. They are currently led by: Duke Antonio Leonardo Montalivet (41)
  
• The Cascabels from Eder Gira are one of the oldest families in Egelion. They are in charge of all matters related to the Royal Treasury and Taxation. This is due to their direct connection to their bank: Cascabel-Otienda, one of the world's greater institutions. They are led by Teresa Isis Cascabel (33).
  

• The Formoselle's, formally known as the Formoselle y Castilla family, are one of Egelion's first noble families. They used to be joined with the Montalivet dynasty back in the day, but their originial line died out. The Formoselle's are eloquent, capable, and represent the Crown on all occasions. They were born to lead. They are led by Juan Carols de Formoselle y Castilla (35).
  

• The Mondragon's, the pride of Caille. They are the most powerful family in Caille and Greater Egelion. Their family recently rose in the ranks in the royal world as they married into the Luthorian Imperial Family as Empress Valeria. In Caille, they are diplomats and eloquent politicians, scary even. For this, they are given the role of international affairs and control of the IDE. They are led by Andrea Mondragon y Astures (31).
  

• The Ibarra family are from the Duchy of Dul Kinea. The Ibarra family are known for their ties to Egelian finance and charity-work. They are in charge of all affairs relating to education and welfare. They work directly with the Real Academia. They are led by Cruz Ariel de Ibarra (32), also Egelion's first transgender councilor.
  

The councilors have begun their work with King Leon Alexander as of yesterday.

With King Leon Alexander's reign beginning strong, he has decided to take more control of the government as the people of the empire begin to wonder what will the age of Leon look like? Recently, the royal council under King Artemio focused heavily on military investments, trade investments, and global supply chains. Leon Alexander, having studied at the University of Norterra under a sustainability program, has recently weighed in on several key issues such as green energy, universal basic income, and progressive taxes. To further promote support for social services, King Leon Alexander went to the Royal Court to directly increase funding and extend support for the nation's social welfare system. The CROWN system, created in the early reign of King Romulo, was meant to address Egelion's early issues with welfare. It addressed unemployment, healthcare, childcare, and eldercare. Now, decades later, the CROWN system is a large part of Egelion's success. 

King Artemio made his own efforts to expand the program. Now, King Leon Alexander seeks to continue that legacy. Under his direct law, Leon Alexander has approved an extra 100 Billion Egeilian Crowns (EGC) to address the shortcomings of the programs for rural communities. It is often those in urban areas with the most need. Yet, the royal court has focused on architecture since the beginning of this Egelian era, so options for public housing and homeless shelters are never lacking. The focus is aimed to benefit those with low-incomes, limited access to quality foods, and lack of access to healthcare centers. The CROWN system will now expand services to over 2.3 million Egelian not previously admitted into the program, making welfare coverage a priority for local governments.

Julia Velar, a business owner from Yadraz who also own a farm in Eder Gira, commented to CENTENARIO and stated that "While most of our needs are met, sometimes I'm short Crowns for food. I mean, I have everything I need... but man, I just wanna buy myself some new things. It's paycheck to paycheck occasionally."

Antonio Velazquez, who lives in the suburbs of Rozevia, states: "I think CROWN has gone a long way. Especially for my mom, but I really think that we need more protections. Sometimes it felt like Artemio focused more on other countries instead of us. I'm glad the new king is finally starting to look at us again."

With Leon Alexander's focus on welfare and equality increasing, many are wondering when deeper reforms into Egelian institutions are expected. Members of the Royalist Party have supported the efforts for more supports, but Conservatives and the Ghadrashi party have opposed it stating it as an "unnecessary expenditure for an already bloated program".

After decades of rather ambiguous relations, the Luthorian Foreign Secretary Davy Harper made his way to Altea to discuss a brand new trade deal and to reaffirm positive relations between Luthori and Egelion. The Luthorian Foreign Secretary spent his entire three day trip in Altea, meeting with the IDE and members of the Royal Council. On the first day, Foreign Secretary Harper met with Royal Councilor Andrea Mondragon at the IDE palace. She greeted the foreign secretary at the top of the stairs before entering the palace. They engaged in hours long negotiations and tours of the palace grounds.

Among negotiations, Royal Councilor Mondragon was very pleased to speak with Harper. Palace officials described their meeting "overall positve" as the foreign secretary paid homage to Mondragon's connections to the Luthorian royal family. The Royal Councilor signed the official new treaty between Egelion and Luthori, on behalf of His Majesty. Royal Councilor Cascabel was also there to sign the treaty as significant economic deals were agreed upon by both officials.

Luthori would provide Egelion a heavy and stable stream of electronic hardware such as semiconductors and electronics. Automobiles and agriculture from Luthori were also promised as a part of the deal. Egelion will provide steady investments into Luthroi's several sectors including finance, tourism, and global shipping. Cascabel stated that Egelion would likely use grants and loans that are part of the Egelian Investment Fund (EIF) to fund Luthorian investments. Cascabel did say that the fund has remained untouched and would likely be very successful in Luthori.

New information was released by the IDE this morning regarding the highly important state visit from Dundorf that occurred two days ago. The IDE, and it's affiliate networks within Egelian press, released a list of events and terms that were agreed upon by both government. Coming over from Dundorf to the capital were  Federal Chancellor Freda Gimbel, Deputy Chancellor Leonie Hagsburg and Foreign Minister Gunther Krancke. Each three of the Dundorfian officials stayed in Altea for a total of two days.

Dundorf arrived in Altea for both diplomatic and economic needs. Dundorf skillfully negotiated a new trade treaty that involved the acquisition of some of Egelion's rare earth mineral (REM) supply. While there were no specifics on quantity or quality of supplies, Royal Councilor Cascabel confirmed that the steady trade would be enough to help improve Dundorf's green sector, which includes solar panels, electrical grids, and especially their electric vehicle manufacturing. 

Egelion's goal were much more tame. Royal Councilor Andrea Mondragon negotiated a large silver deal with Dundorf. It involves Egelion receive large sums of pure silver, necessary for the energy/electronics sector as well as Egelion's increasing craze for jewelry. Most importantly, the meeting was used for Egelion to continue wonderful relations with Dundorf. Dundorf remains one of Egelion's older friends on the Artanain continent. With stable policies and sound diplomacy, Egelian banks and institutions have thrived in the country. Mondragon made a statement affirming that Egelion was committed to Dundorf, their global opinion, and the stability they have provided the world for decades.

It was announced this morning from Sorsuela Palace that King Leon Alexander married his longtime friend Isabella de Dampier y Ferrer last weekend in a private event in Altea. The Office of His Majesty released a statement stating that the King and Queen of Egelion preferred a private ceremony in Altea in contrast to a large, global wedding. Many palace sources say that the privacy of the wedding was important to their majesties, with King Leon Alexander himself being secluded for a large part of his childhood. According to sources, the Queen herself stated "not all weddings and funerals must be a spectacle for those to see".

The wedding itself hosted several Egelian noble families such as those found on the Royal Council. Several other minor families were also in attendance. For the first time since King Amadeo, an Egelian king has married within the Egelian nobility instead of foreign houses. King Leon Alexander and Queen Isabella are expected to take a honeymoon trip to southern Canrille next summer to enjoy the weather and "enjoy the populace" before returning to Altea and engagin in new projects. Queen Isabella is, according to those who know her, an iron-willed woman and always seeks to insert influence where it may not be needed. Some say she may be making moves to influence the royal council, while most believe she is an elegant figure that adds a new dynamic to the Egelian royal family.

New for this winter season, Diamant, Egelion's largest jewelry provider and royal jeweler, announced a brand new line of products available for purchase. Diamant, originally from Caille since the 3600s, has long been the official jeweler of the royal family as well, providing the family with commissioned tiaras, crowns, earrings, necklaces and rings. Diamant have asked the royal family for permission to display the crown jewels in their main store in Norterra to help promote their new marketing strategy. Diamant has released their new "Be Royal" campaign, telling consumer that they, by purchasing Diamant's products, can also be royal. What does it mean to be royal? One can think of the royals as elegant, poised, and divine. Touched by god themselves. Raised to rule, raised to lead. Diamant believes that anyone can portray these qualities...with their jewelry.

Diamant was given three different pieces from the crown jewels to display at their store. On behalf of the royal family, Diamant received the Montalivet Ruby Diadem, the Leon State Crown, used for coronations, and the Orleans-Vasser 4500s Diamond Set. Each of these items hold special significance to the royal family and are being used to promote the new "Be Royal" line. Diamant has stated that there are three sets of silver necklaces, three sets of golden necklaces, bracelets, gemstone rings, and diamond earrings available to purchase. Many of these products are available for all genders, owing to Diamant's campaign to keep jewelry "available for all". The company was grateful to the constant access to silver, gold, and diamonds in Egelion thanks to several decades-long negotiated deals between Egelion and other nations. Diamant is expected to have a great season of selling jewelry this winter season, with many thinking of choosing Diamant for special occasion gifts and to start a new trend of fashion in the region.

With increasing growth taking place throughout the empire, the Royal Treasury has prepared a major plan to begin investing heavily in New Endralon and Kizenia. Since the end of the war, New Endralon and Kizenia has lagged behind Egelion and Nadiya concerning economic growth. The war placed extreme financial limitations on the country, leaving it looking to other avenues for growth. The Royal Council approved several economic extensions in New Endralon once the war ended and have been able to keep the nation stable and focused on reconstruction. With major reconstruction efforts, almost complete, the Royal Government has decided to pour more investments into the nation to allow for further integration.

The Egelian Investment Fund, under the Royal Treasury, will implement a large 20 billion investment into New Endralon and Kizenia focusing on repairing main infrastructure points, education, military and healthcare. The 20 billion Crowns, guaranteed by the stable policies at the Royal Treasury, are set to be put into use immediately. Portesti was contacted earlier this week to create a committee that would oversee the handling of the funds. The EIF would also provide a team to streamline funds, but allocations will be handled mostly by New Endralon. 

Among investors is the Real Academia. Backed by the financial institution, Villar y Zepeda, the Real Academia has pledged to help with New Endralon's academic needs including the hiring of teachers, university preparation programs, and curriculum creation. The Academia's board committee have designated several Egelian publishing companies to begin crafting a curriculum for New Endrlaon based on liberal ideals, monarchism, and anti-extremism. The Real Academia hopes that all of New Endralon's youth will receive an impactful education that will help elevate the nation beyond its current state. 

The EIF will also focus on maintaining the nation's armed forces. After the war, the state of defense in New Endralon was left useless. National defenses have been diminished and were easily exploitable by Egelion and even a low-tier Nadiyan military force. The Royal Directory in Cartablanca will begin to address those needs in New Endralon. According to recent details, the Royal Directory is planning to assist New Endralon in creating a strong, defense-based force, using the nation's geography and terrain as an advantage. Cartablanca is even offering to set up the ATENEA missile system in New Endralon to provide anti-missile coverage throughout the entire continent. Officials have stated that New Endralon could potentially house some of Egelion's hypersonic and intercontinental ballistic missile silos, should the nation choose to have them as part of their national defense.
