Uncertainty as Our Homeland! secures mandate in the midst of political chaos.

Our Homeland! commonly called "ND" from Naša Domovina! in Deltarian, sprang to action in their first elections since August 5361 bringing together a coalition of center-right and right-wing movements, including those that support the restoration of the Czar. Dražen Aleksić, who has emerged as the overall leader of ND following a disastrous series of leadership contests which left ND without uniting behind a candidate for the April, 5593 Presidential elections, has announced that a fresh round of elections will be held in July, 5593 to "rectify" a number of issues. In the mean time, the government underneath Radovan Mandić as the interim President of the Government of the Deltarian Republic, has been put into place. Aleksić, the clear front runner now for the office of President of the Republic, stated that underneath the current constitution the interim Prime Minister/Premier will exercise full executive authority. In July, 5593 when a formal Presidential election is held, alongside another round of elections for deputies of the National Sabor, the incoming President will have a monumental task in reframing the Deltarian economy as well as the wider international profile of Deltaria, both across Terra and regionally. Aleksić, despite his ambiguous role in Deltarian politics at the moment, has offered strong condemnation of the outbreak of tensions in Solentia and has offered whatever assistance the Deltarian government and people can offer. "Ahmadi extremism cannot and should not be tolerated. Southern Majatran, and Southeastern Majatra which Deltaria considers itself apart of, cannot tolerate the outbreak of sectarian violence. We call for peace and dialogue in Solentia."

Some members of ND in the National Sabor have called for "extraordinary action" from Deltaria, once a regional powerhouse and dominant force, with some questioning if Deltaria would even have the capability to do so. Aleksić has denied any sort of "extraordinary action" for the time being but stated if elected President of the Republic, he would not hesitate to protect Deltaria should he need to do so.

Radovan Mandić, who remains a popular figure after a term as Mayor of Cahtica, has prioritized restoring economic stability to the country. Mandić has appointed Senior Professor of Economics from the University of Dolinka, Vasilije Gišić, as the Minister of Finance and Professor of International Economics from Cahtica University, Dražen Kremenić as the Minister of Trade and Industry. The Premier also announced that the position of Governor of the Deltarian National Bank (Deltarian: Deltarska Narodna Banka; DNB) would be assumed by Senior Professor of Monetary Policy and Macroeconomics from the University of Dolinka, Ilija Oreški. The announcements, which came shortly after the results of the April, 5593 were formalized by the Supreme Constitutional Court, prompted an uptick in the Cahtica Stock Exchange (CSE) and prompted better trading for the Deltarian dinar, the formal currency of the nation.

The incoming Governor of the Deltarian National Bank will be tasked with controlling inflation, government debt, and a breakdown in collection of taxation from a variety of sources. In addition, the Deltarian government will have to seek rebuilding its international profile, while restoring domestic confidence, but also restoring foreign investment confidence in the nation. Sources close to the Ministry of Finance have cited aims to attract investment into Deltaria's considerable natural resources but also its growing technology and information technology sectors, in addition to the automobile and defense sectors as well. "Southern Majatra is ripe for investment, despite some contentious issues over the past decade, we believe that Deltaria remains a stable investment for foreign government and domestic investors." said Governor Ilija Oreški to a gathered group of Majatran and wider foreign journalist outside the headquarters of the DNB. "The new government in Cahtica promises to continue this upward trend we've seen in the past weeks." Officials from the Ministry of Finance paused trading on the Cahtica Stock Exchange several times over the past few weeks since the election to ensure regulations were being adhered to and officials within the Ministry of Finance have approached the National Sabor about the funding of new policies and regulations on securities and commodities exchanges in the coming years ahead.

While economics are the clear first issue for the new government to deal with, the rule of law and restoration of services across the nation remain a hot topic. Deputies of the interim National Sabor have noted that each of the five primary "regions" of Deltaria will be made largely statistical divisions and underneath them, a new system of administrative divisions will be formed, largely to the benefit of local government. There has been a scramble to reform the police, the Ministry of the Interior and providing essential services such as energy, water and basic government services. Incoming Minister of the Interior, Dubravko Krstić, has made it clear that he intends on reforming both the internal and external structures which protect Deltarian citizens. The first comes at reforming the domestic intelligence and domestic counter-intelligence formations into one new, uniformed structure underneath the Ministry of the Interior. Krstić noted that this new agency would be known as the State Directorate for Internal Security (Deltarian: Državna uprava za unutarnju sigurnost; DRUZUS) which the Minister of the Interior has referred to as the new "Druzhina", or his own nickname for the organization. The first leader of the so-called Druzhina, will be Florijan Krmpotić who will serve as the Commissioner-General of the State Directorate for Internal Security.

President and Foreign Minister meet with Solentian representatives in capital, urging calm and dialogue.

President Dražen Aleksić and Foreign Minister Nikola Hrnjkaš confirmed that representatives from the Ahmadi Union from Solentia have arrived in Cahtica to discuss the future of Deltarian-Solentian relations. President Aleksic confirmed that the high-level bilateral meeting was focused on the normalization of relations and the on-going issues plaguing Solentia. "We are eager to assist our fellow Majatran states in a peaceful resolution of their internal problems. Deltaria urges all parties, including those who have utilized their opportunity to invade a sovereign country, to step back and work towards peace." The Deltarian government has largely played aloof when it comes to the Kalopian invasion into Solentia, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs speaking anonymously noted that the Deltarian government had watched with great interest to gather information on the tactics and doctrine from the Kalopian Armed Forces, which largely been neglected over the years. Deltaria has stated that they are not willing, at this time, to utilize any sort of military force and are actively seeking to work with all parties for a peaceful, stable Solentia. Foreign Ministry officials have confirmed that the Deltarian government will be providing approximately T25m (LOD $24.240m) to the Ahmadi Union in the form of humanitarian aid as a means to provide assistance to the areas underneath their control.

There have been rumors that the reformed State Administration for Export of Arms and Military Equipment (Deltarian: Državna uprava za izvoz naoružanja i vojne opreme), which was formerly the Department of Appropriations for Deltarian Defense, has been engaged with the paramilitary wing of the Ahmadi Union in order to supply them with small arms and munitions, this has been denied by representatives from the Deltarian Foreign Ministry.

President Dražen Aleksić, Prime Minister Radovan Mandić, Foreign Minister Nikola Hrnjkaš and Deltarian National Bank Governor Ilija Oreški received Lodamese Secretary of State Oliver Caillou and Merchant-General Charlotte Farr in Čahtica in mid November, 5594 to discuss more in-depth relations between the two nations. Representatives of the Foreign Ministry cited the desire for new economic markets as well as expanding beyond the Majatran continent as the desire to develop deeper relations with Lodamun. According to the Ministry of Trade and Industry approximately 1.3% of Deltarian trade was related to Lodamun in someway, especially low compared to other countries, largely on the Majatran continent. Trade and Industry Minister Dražen Kremenić, who attended the meetings, notably with the Merchant-General, also conducted meetings with Lodamese business leaders and likewise introduced a number of Deltarian-based businesses to Lodamese business leaders. Together! (Deltarian: Zajedno!), a Trigunian-based social media platform, expanded to Deltaria shortly after its founding and has its secondary headquarters located in Cahtica, while it has found itself popular in Keris and Makon, its continued expansion to Dovani, Temania and Vascania has prompted continued investment into the platform. One of the main gatherers of Deltarian businessman is the charismatic and well-liked head of Together! in Deltaria, Budimir Vukomanović.

One of the main topics discussed was the on-going crisis in Solentia, where both Lodamun and Deltaria have shared their desire to assist the Solentian people and easing their suffering. While the Deltarian government offered to assist refugees, the Deltarian government cited their unease in taking refugees directly into Deltaria. The alternative, which was prompted by the restored Quanzari puppet, was to take Solentian refugees in the vassal state of Kafuristan. This idea was floated by the Quanzari government and the Deltarian government remains supportive of the efforts. President Aleksić proposed such idea to Secretary of State Caillou and noted that the presence of refugees in Quanzar would be beneficial as the cultures were similar and that the assimilation process would be less difficult. The proposal by Lodamun, though not accepted, could easily be modified with Deltaria and Lodamun playing a role in assisting refugees to the much closer and culturally similar Grand Emirate of Quanzar. The Foreign Ministry announced that it had conversation with Prime Minister Abdur Rasheed el-Kabi of Quanzar, and that the idea was actively being considered by the restored Quanzari government.

While Deltarian National Bank Governor Ilija Oreški didn't quite share the sentiment that the Deltarian economy had slipped as far as some would believe, she shared that the economy had suffered underneath several caretaker governments. "We understand that the Telar hasn't performed well in recent years and that the wider Deltarian economy has slipped, but we're Deltarian's and we're resilient. We've learned that from long, cold winters." Oreški confirmed that investor confidence, both domestically and internationally had a strong uptick since April, 5593 as the new Deltarian government sought to stabilize the economy and enact some economic reforms that would open up the economy to more investment and movement. In addition, Oreški confirmed that the government would be looking to bolster government-lead investment into key sectors in Deltaria, most notably in natural resources exploration and extraction, the automobile industry and the largely dominant information technology sector. "We know that the Lodamese investors and their government have ideas on what they wish to expand trade relations on and we're more then happy to oblige."

President Aleksić warns Kalopia that prevention of aid is "Red line" for Deltaria

President Dražen Aleksić has instructed Foreign Minister Nikola Hrnjkaš to inform the Kalopian government that any attempts to obstruct Deltarian or Deltarian allied vessels from providing humanitarian aide would be "...crossing a red line." The message sent to the Kalopian Foreign Ministry as an official diplomatic communique comes at a time when Kanjor has begun providing aid to Solentian refugees in Quanzar, one of the post-war states in Istalia. The President's message comes at a time when the famine in Solentia has continued and untold numbers have died. Deltarian humanitarian aid has largely been relegated to the government of the Ahmadi Union controlled areas and has been provided by members of the Deltarian Armed Forces, in addition, the Deltarian Air and Air Defense Forces have begun conducting drops of aid in more remote areas and near refugee camps at great risk to themselves. Officials from the Ministry of Defense have cited increased contact with the Ahmadi Union controlled government as a means of providing aid. Privately, and through other channels has highlighted that they are disappointed with the behavior of the Kalopia's and that the "intervention" into Solentia has been a complete failure for Kalopia, which has stretched their already relatively minor armed forces to their breaking point, according to a leaked assessment from the Defense Intelligence and Security Agency, the military intelligence agency of Deltaria.

Trade and Industry Minister Kremenić proposes new Southern Majatra economic organization.

Minister of Trade and Industry Dražen Kremenić proposed the formation of a South Majatra Economic Cooperation Organization (SOMECO) to a group of gathered investors at the Cahtica Economic Forum hosted in the capital in early February 5596. The Trade and Industry Minister spoke about developing a broad network of trade and rebuilding nations such as Istalia and Solentia following their conflicts. "Deltaria is in a unique position in that it remains a strong, stable economy in southern Majatra and we believe that we should be developing and even sharing that wealth. An economic cooperation organization is key to the success of the wider continent and the region itself. We're going to reach out to our allies in southern Majatra and see if we can develop a consensus on the organization." Deltaria has sought newer markets to develop their economy, having already sought developing a new economic relationship with Lodamun, and in the future hopefully developing ties with nations such as Solentia in their post-war government, should that government be favorable to the one in Cahtica. The Trade and Industry Minister was asked about their stance on Kalopia and the Trade and Industry Minister noted that he hopes that Kalopia and Deltaria could develop a normalized relationship following the conflict in Solentia.

Ministry of Justice and Ministry of the Interior conduct nation-wide raids on narco ring.

Officials from the Ministry of Justice, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of the Interior announced the arrest of nearly 100 individuals associated with a narcotics smuggling ring based out of the Sea of Majatra. Minister of Justice Bozhidar Radkov Karapetrov noted that approximately 30 of those arrested were members of "The Guided Hand" (Tokundian: Vođena ruka), a Tokundian organized crime family closely linked with the Udruga, the "mafia" of Deltaria. The investigation began when a number of shipping containers were determined to be "lost" at the Port of Branovica in Alzindar prompting an investigation by the Deltarian National Police, which further prompted the deployment of the Special National Gendarmerie (SNZ) to the port to assist in the investigation. The State Directorate for Internal Security was also deployed after the start of the investigation turned up ties to organized crime; the investigation formally started in January, 5597 and culminated in a nation-wide raid in late June, 5597 in which dozens were arrested and charged by the Prosecutor General's Office for participating in organized crime, trafficking narcotics as well as dozens of other charges. The most prominent among them being Nebojša Vukomanović, one of the senior lieutenants for "The Guided Hand" and a key player in the smuggling of drugs into the country via the country's ports. A large of "The Guided Hand" were arrested, and several of them were charged with higher level offenses due to previous convictions and being on monitoring. President Dražen Aleksić celebrated the news and promised to continue to crack down on crime and restore law and order across Deltaria where it had floundered.

President Dražen Aleksić addressed the nation tonight after confirmation that a ICBM was utilized to strike Xsampa, launched from Beiteynu. "The Deltarian people and the Deltarian Republic, in the strongest possible terms, condemns the usage of nuclear weapons on the people of Beiteynu. While conflicts may arise between nations and conventional war is to be abhored, it is an honorable form of warfare. The actions of Beiteynu are barbaric and hurt none but the people of Xsampa. I have ordered the Minister of Foreign Affairs to evacuate all Deltarian citizens from Beiteynu, to expel any diplomats from Deltaria associated with Beiteynu and place immediate sanctions on Beiteynu for their actions. In addition, I have ordered forces in the Majatran Sea to monitor the situation and the surrounding areas to monitor for any additional missile launches from Beiteynu." The President went on to expand that this gravely hurt relations between the two nations and that the Beiteynu people will ultimately suffer for the actions of their government. The unilateral declaration of war by Vanuku was not addressed and several within the Foreign Ministry, according to sources, believe that Deltaria and others across the world should invade Beiteynu for their actions.

General Police Director Miroslav Novoselec, the highest ranked Deltarian Police officials outside of the Minister of the Interior, announced that Delta Horizon Defense (Deltarian: Odbrana Delta Horizonta) has agreed to supply the Border Police Directorate with advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The ODH "Zharobog", named after the Terran Patriarchal Church's Godpodi of fire, forge and the sun. Ilija Gavrić, the lead engineer on the program, noted that the name was selected to highlight that the UAV brings "sun" to the areas that it patrols and through its "forging", can deliver "fire" to the enemies of the Deltarian peope. The UAVs, which are considered to be a MALE, or medium altitude, long-endurance, unmanned aerial vehicle. Commander of the Border Police Directorate, Deputy Police Director Budimir Martić, welcomed the news that the Ministry of the Interior had agreed to enter into a contract with ODH and that the presence of these unarmed aerial drones would enhance the protection of Deltaria's borders, especially in the wake of conflicts within Majatra. ODH also noted that in the near future a variant known as the " Vodyanoy", or one of the Mudri associated with water, would be produced and assigned to the Border Police Directorate's maritime formations alongside the Deltarian Armed Forces for usage in maritime security operations.
