With the Kerisian War ended and the rebuilding process beginning, the Royal Council took time this afternoon to take a look at the Norterra Treaty and ensure that Egelion would still be available to follow all of its terms. Royal councilor Cascabel made notes to Royal Councilor Mondragon II and stated that the annexation of Zyldavia is a challenge "that would hurt the social cohesion of a restored New Endralonian state." The councilor made the point that the annexation of Zyldavia would not only be a costly venture for Egelion, but would also lead to racial and ethnic tensions that the country is already prone to.

To address the underlying issues in New Endralon and Kizenia, the Kingdom of Egelion has officially decided to end any pursuit of the Zyldavian territory and instead assist the new government of the nation engage in "humanitarian, socially just measures to improve the social cohesion of New Endralon and Kizenia." Royal Councilor Mondragon II, set to retire next year, stated that a new royal council will soon be responsible for helping New Endralon and Kizenia, not only with infrastructure and social programs, but to address ethnic tensions. The Royal Council did state that His Majesty would continue to use the title "Prince of Zyldavia" as it has been used for centuries by the heir of New Endralon. 

Royal Councilor Ibarra, specializing in welfare and education within the Royal Council, stated that the Real Academia would work with New Endralon to ensure proper education and materials were available for the country's youth to teach about the history of the nation and how to curb violence in regards to ethnic tensions. The Real Academia has already spoken tot he Regency Council of New Endralon and have prepared a ten year long curriculum for all three regions of the nation to ensure that indoctrination of violence and hate and filtered out from their society. 
 
Royal Councilor Mondragon II spoke to the press this afternoon to make a statement regarding the official release of annexation:
 

There is no question that we would love the return of the crownlands of Zyldavia, but we must be realistic here, we are in a position of help not of opportunism. We will continue to support our western neighbors to ensure they have a proper future guided by principles of peace, cooperation, and self-determination. While we may understand there is hateful rhetoric in the press meant to legitimize Egelion's imperialistic tendencies, we however are capable of grasping the fundamental pillars of foreign policy well enough to understand that acquiring land, no matter how historical or engrained in our personal pride, is not what makes us a successful global nation. We will look to Zyldavia and the rest of Kizenia with cooperation and our full, good intentions in seeing them return to a prosperous nation.
