CPX Primaries begin; Several candidates seek to share their vision.

The primaries for the Communist Party of Xsampa have formally begun. With elections in February, the CPX is likely to go forward with a strong lead due to the success of the S Aurousseau Administration, and whoever wins the Primary has a very strong chance to win the general election in February. But with Sherab Aurousseau ineligible to run once again due to term limits, the general question has been, who will succeed her in the CPX? The answer to that question is more complicated. But that's why primaries exist, as whoever prevails will become the nominee for Premiership, and have their chance to offer their vision of Participatory Metzism.
While Sherab Aurousseau has not yet endorsed anyone, and it's unknown if she will, several candidates are already off to a strong start. Our first candidate, is none other than Comrade Chokzay Trengwa, current Commissar of the People's Committee of Labour, Union, and Proletarian Affairs
Comrade Trengwa has chosen to enter the Primaries and has chosen a relatively economic first message, focusing on expanding market socialism, infrastructure projects, such as revitalization of Internet infrastructure, and expanding economic ties with SSA states (which currently only includes Bianjie at the moment). Being apart of the Moderate Neo-Socialists, Trengwa would largely be seen as a continuation of the CPX orthodoxy, and as a soft continuation of the S Aurousseau Administration.
Next, is Comrade Monlam. Currently a representative in PAX and a supporter of the New Line wing of the CPX, she's based her message on what she defined as economic internationalism and less entanglement. She's advocated for expanding trade drastically, expanding Alter-Globalism, and ultimately focusing on ensuring trade is expanded and that Xsampans benefit first and foremost. Comrade Monlam would largely be a foreign policy focused administration, with things domestically not being shaken up too much.
Next, is Comrade Metok Gorkha, a prominent bureaucrat within the People's Committee of Human Development, focusing his message on everyday socialism, looking to expand healthcare drastically across the country, and give it a major funding boost, expanding the bureaucracy via more social workers and bureaucrats to speed up said bureaucracy, and improving worker conditions in heavy industry, such as potentially lowering work hours to match the 4 day workweek. Also a Moderate Neo-Socialist, Gorkha has also endorsed reforms to the Tsokling System to combat the Tsokling Deficit, and continued humane fiscal reforms.
Another surprise candidate is Comrade Duga, current Commissar of Rindrak Public Security, calling for anti corruption reforms, both within Public Security and across the entire government, and doing major reforms to all sects of Public Security.
The final candidate making a bid is Dolkar Aukatsang, currently a Representative within PAX. Aukatsang has chosen to frame his message around Collective Dovani Security, arguing that efforts must be made to protect Dovani from foreign imperialism, expanding and strengthening mutual aid programs to the rest of Dovani, expanding the Xsampan Democratic Army. Arguing that protecting Dovani protects Xsampa, Comrade Aukatsang has championed the idea of expanding defense manufacturing to provide new jobs, diversify the economy and ensure that the XDA is adequately ready for any crisis. While not a hawk, it's hard to call Aukatsang a dove either, and it's unlikely that he can win the Primary. Unlikely, but not impossible.
So far, these are simply all the candidates with the strongest leads (each to vary degrees). It won't be until the end of the month or early September that we see the results of the Primaries. With or without Comrade Sherab Aurousseau endorsing someone, these primaries are sure to bring out CPX voters.
