A budget of over 450 million Egelian Coronas was approved by the Royal Council last week for all functions and services related to the Real Academia. The Real Academia, based in Arteaga Palace in the heart of Altea, is responsible for the spread of Egelian culture and language throughout Terra. It serves as the institution for all things Egelian--such as curriculum and educational programs. Currently, nations that have created deals with the Real Academia are: New Endralon and Kizenia, Nadiya, Rildanor (Meriath), Bianjie, Xsampa, Kalistan, Gaduridos, Dundorf, and Luthori. Each nation contains a special branch of the institution that help Egelian become a global culture.
To continue and expand these works, there was a large increase in the budget over the last week focusing on curriculum updates, language acquisition, university programs, online courses, and cultural exchanges. The Real Academia is also interested in expanding it's services to other nations such as Valruzia, Luthori, New Verham, Kundrati, and New Englia. The Real Academia is hoping to make several improvements in general education, multilingualism, and cultural relevancy across the globe. The Real Academia provides curriculum in both Egelian and Caillean with their general language textbook: "Juntos/Junts". The academia believes that nations of the world often forget the importance of education and language acquisition when it comes to global politics and the global economy. The academia plans to restore a common curriculum and standardized academic understanding to improve efficiency and cultural diffusion across the world.
The budget increase to 450 million, up from 220 million, will see several more benefits such as: the hiring of new personnel, new scholarships for international students, renovations to the academia's offices, mass publications of language and cultural books, new international research opportunities, and the creation of a new academic investment fund for individual nations. Royal Councilor Ibarra, who oversees educational matters from the Royal Court, stated that the efforts to make the Real Academia a global presence helps with cultural diffusion, cooperation between partners, and an opportunity to learn new things. While the Real Academia is yet to release plans on their new expansions and curriculum additions, the institution's private investors are equally eager to see the future of Egelian and Caillean culture spread.
