Crowds flocked to the Royal Courthouse of the First High Court in Central Altea today. Hundreds waited outside the steps of the courthouse as the nation's worst villain, Gonazalo Perez, arrived from his 9 hour flight from Metz-Leonid. Perez was arrested in Xsampa after being disrespectful and causing public outrage at a Nuclear War memorial in the city. Perez, who has a rather large social media following mainly from bots and Nadiyan pictureless accounts, was sent straight to prison following his arrival. He was then transported to the courthouse the next morning.

People waiting outside the court took all the opportunity to make him feel the sadness and anger Egelian citizens felt about the entire situation. Many began throwing rotten food at the man. Some pebbles and rocks. One homeless man dropped his pants, emptied his bowels, and flung his filth at Perez's face, leading to his new national nickname: "Cara de Mierda", or "Shitface". He was cleaned off with a nearby fountain and taken inside the court where he awaited his fate. Due to Egelian law, penalties and crimes like the one's Perez committed internationally are known for strict rulings and procedures. Perez saw no mercy from the proceedings of the high Court, just one step below the nation's Absolute Court.

Jugde Sandoval, who has 24 years of experience, claimed that he had never seen such disrespect against a foreign ally since the days of the Cafard situation itself. The judge claimed that in his 24 years, he had never seen such behavior abroad by an Egelian citizen. He took the chance to read the entire law to Perez and forced him to delete his social media accounts on the spot. At this time, Perez had a meltdown and tried to leave the court. He was restrained by two officers following his 15 minute long tantrum. 

Perez was sentenced to life in prison. No opportunity for parole. His social media would be banned indefinitely, and his family would be forced to pay reparation directly to the Xsampan state. While this punishment for Perez was more cruel than ever, Judge Sandoval states that committing crimes abroad can be worse than a domestic crime. Egelians abroad, while always well behaved, cannot represent that country and its ideals with disrespect. The Royal Council sent an immediate diplomatic apology to Metz-Leonid on behalf of His Majesty and hoped that Perez receiving justice would ameliorate the situation. 

Perez was never given a proper shower or bath after the shit incident. He ended the day half covered in feces and remaining a laughing stock in the nation.
