Bianjie announces it will join the freedom of movement pillar of the Dovani Union to promote free travel between Dovanian countries

The Dovani Union (DU) has been a thing for quite some time now, but it has been slowly growing, expanding and establishing its institutions and policies across the members states, which includes Bianjie, as one of the union's founding states. As an economic and political union, the DU has been mostly all about the growing economies of the Dovanian countries, as well as the close cooperation between the member states.

Recently, New Verham and Xsampa have announced the signing of the Freedom of Movement Pillar of the Dovani Union, which entails an almost complete liberty for citizens of the aforementioned nations to travel between countries, with no restrictions and obstacles, such as visas, controls and more. For a while, Bianjie has been contemplating to join the pillar, with politicians on both sides of the aisle arguing for the proposal, while the ruling government has been rather sceptic, yet still open to the idea. And thus, months of discussions, internal and extermal, commenced at the State Council's initiative, researching all the pros and cons, as well the mechanisms of implementing it to not interfere or create chaos for the airport controls and other Bianjian border enforcement agencies.

Finally, after almost two years of waiting, following the signing of the pillar by the Xsampan and New Verhamese officials, the Bianjian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), has announced that it has signed the agreement, thus joining the DU's newly-founded Freedom of Movement Pillar, with the national border enforcement agencies being ordered to decrease the level of control for the nationals coming from the signatory parties, however retaining the need to present basic identity documents, such as passports of ID cards, as well as keeping the strict control on the labour travel and so on. "It is a historic moment for Dovanian cooperation, above all, because it shows everyone, and other Dovanian countries, especially, that peaceful co-existence and joint work is possible, to achieve higher goals, that benefit everyone, no matter the ideology, or otherwise", the foreign minister, Dorgon Mija, said.
