Border Checkpoint With Yerrawa Closed By Government!

The border checkpoint near Alterra has been closed by the government citing smuggling and national security concerns.
This move comes amid the fallout from the recent military operation in Alterra that has left the city in ruins and killed hundreds of civillian non-combatants. This move has resulted in an exodus of Abadii citizens in the city and surrounding area across the border using this checkpoint to Yerrawa due to fears of further retribution from the government and increased persecution. The checkpoint closure is most likely in response to the exodus and is being done in order to contain the local population.
Security forces claim that this move is a part of a broader crackdown on smuggling and terrorism, claiming that the checkpoint is a hotspot for smugglers and is being by the ALA to move members and weapons.
Local security chief, Haneez Oligami, has blamed Yerrawa for the move, saying: "The border checkpoint with Yerrawa is not a secure crossing, Yerrawa has not taken security concerns seriously and allowed terrorism and smuggling to flourish. Any negative consequences that Yerrawa may feel from this closure are entirely their fault."
The checkpoint has been reinforced with more guards. Entry through the checkpoint has been restricted to only government approved vehicles with special clearance. So far there hasn't been any response from Yerrawa on this issue.
