Haradesa - Following several months of intense fighting, terrorist attacks and a refusal to withdraw from Istapali, President Hodari has been dragged out of the Maroon Palace by rebel forces loyal to the "Movement for a Democratic Nsanlosa". While initial unrest following the border invasion was mostly prevelant in Kagba, the unrest spread throughout the country relatively quickly, resulting in several insurgent groups popping up as time progressed.

These groups were disorganized at first, organizing hit and run attacks that quickly resulted in defeat. But the Kagbans united under the Kagban Liberation Front, organizing a succesfull guerilla campaign in the north that was not repelled by a now stredged out military. Simultaniously, terrorist cells in occupied Istapalian territory spread into Nsanlosa proper, organizing bombings and killings throughout the country on a regular basis. Other insurgent forces now joined together under the Movement for a Democratic Nsanlosa, harassing military supply lines into Istapali and making the occupation even harder on the troops stationed there.

Now, after months of fighting, a push by MDN forces succesfully routed regime forces, with soldiers defending Haradesa deserting on mass as a estimated 250.000 insurgents flooded its streets. While atrocities have been reported, including killings and crimes against the civilian population, insurgents were still welcomed by a population eager to see change after decades of autocracy.

President Hodari was dragged out of his palace, visibly injured and begging for his life. The MDN has announced that it will form a transitional council to oversee government functions, while also underlining its intend to stay in Istapali until "terrorist threats against Nsanlosa are eliminated." This specific announcement has angered the KLF, which itself had pushed south and is within 30 kilometers of Haradesa. Some KLF figures have now called for a declaration of independence in Kagba to secede from "a hyper nationalistic south". Hodari himself hasnt been seen since his eviction from the Maroon Palace and is currently believed to be held in Chulambar Provincial Prison.

The situation in the rest of the country is volatile, with reports of services being suspended and government authority being minimal as regime loyalists now try to leave, fearing retaliation.
