2. Community Guidelines
Keeping this community a fun, safe and creative place for everyone is of the outmost importance and priority for everyone.

1. Do NOT be intentionally and continuously disrespectful and unfriendly - sometimes tensions, arguments and frustrations may run high, which is totally understandable, but it is absolutely unacceptable to keep doing it
   
2. Do NOT harass anyone - harassing means attacking and discriminating against others on any basis, including but not limited to religion, political affiliation, gender, sexual orientation, creed, colour and nationality - this is absolutely unacceptable and will lead to an immediate and permanent ban from the game and the community
   
3. Do NOT exploit anyone and especially newer players (power playing) - and especially to advance your own game/community goals
   
4. Do NOT search for, circulate, publicly identify, publish or otherwise share personal information on anyone (doxxing) - this is absolutely unacceptable and will lead to an immediate and permanent ban from the game and the community
   
5. Do NOT impersonate anyone with the intent to mislead, exploit loopholes and otherwise cheat and cause harm - this is absolutely unacceptable and will lead to an immediate and permanent ban from the game and the community
   
6. Do NOT share private messages without permission - unless instructed to by an admin or member of the mod team
   
7. Do NOT discuss warnings and bans issued on someone with an unhelpful cause and effect - as it puts an unnecessary spotlight on them that helps no one improve
   
8. Do NOT troll or spam - spamming means sending unsolicited messages to a large number of recipients, posting in a large number of places and posting in a high level of frequency
   
9. Do NOT advertise for other sites, games, forums, discords, etc., without first receiving approval from a member of the Moderation team.
   
10. Do NOT engage with the community in any language other than English
    
11. Do NOT discriminate against anyone on their use of the English language or understanding of any aspect of the game
    
12. Do NOT confuse conversations by mixing in-character (IC) and out-of-character (OOC) messaging without being clear
    
13. Do NOT use artificial intelligence (AI) to generate text - as it defeats the entire purpose of the game (media is allowed and you can even use AI to help you plan your roleplay)
    
14. Do NOT copy the work of others by presenting it as your own and without attribution or permission (plagiarism)
    
15. Do NOT roleplay science-fiction or fantasy - as it defeats the entire context of the game
    
16. Do NOT roleplay without the consent of affected/involved players - as it defeats the entire foundation of the game
    

2A. Management
Mods and Game Masters are here to ensure the community remains a fun, safe and creative place for everyone without prejudice or bias. They also understand that abusing their position will likely lead to their permanent ban from the community and the game.

Thus, they must:

1. Ban players who are breaking the aforementioned guidelines highlighted in red
   
2. Enforce the rest of the aforementioned guidelines and the game rules in a thoughtful and reconciliatory manner with the goal of reaching a working solution for all participants
   
3. Stay out of deliberations when they have a conflict of interest as players
   
4. Raise complex and multi-sided issues to game masters for mediation, provided that they have first attempted to resolve them with the community
   
5. Handle requests and enforce community guidelines and game rules - but note that Game Masters are not expected to be as active or available/deal with day-to-day tasks as mods
   

2B. General

1. Players are generally advised to raise issues first to mods and only as a last resort to game masters
   
2. All players can apply to become a mod, propose changes to community guidelines and game rules and suggest features to the game, at any time
   
3. Game Masters appoint and remove mods
   
4. Game Masters supervise the enforcement levels (stricter/looser) of community guidelines and game rules and set the direction for mods with the goal of preserving balance
   
5. Game Masters can override mod decisions
   

2C. Language

1. English is the official language of PT:R/Legacy, as a result, all users should be able to communication to a reasonable standard in English. The PT community is made up of dozens of different languages and we welcome the diversity;
   
2. All public communications such as bill descriptions, party descriptions, politicians must be written in English;
   
3. Party names, constitutional titles and other variables (excluding bill descriptions, party descriptions and politicians) may be in a non-English language appropriate to the nation's culture however if the nation's culture has a different alphabet that might be difficult to understand, the Latin-script transliteration is required (example languages: Russian, Arabic, Persian, etc.);
   
4. Users should not be discriminated against for poor English, in the event of a breakdown in communications Moderation should be notified to perhaps assist in communications;
   
5. Swearing and "bad language" is not necessarily forbidden in-character; players are advised to be very aware of the usage of swearing, discriminatory and otherwise negative language when operating in character. For out of character swearing, racial insults and other personal attacks will not be tolerated. Any discrimination and attacks on the basis of religion, political affiliation, sexual orientation, creed, color or nationality is prohibited and will be dealt with with the utmost importance;
   
6. Any form of spamming (discord (public or private), creating multiple bills with similar names/variables repeatedly, etc.) is forbidden in-game, on the forums and the official Legacy Discord server.
   

2D. Discord

1. The Community Team runs the official PT Community Discord server. The rules and procedures following the Discord server are as follows
   
2. Becoming a member of the official Discord is compulsory during Open Beta testing of PT:Reborn.
   
3. All rules of Section 1 and other game rules apply within the discord and will be followed;
   
4. Political and religious discourse is welcome, however all members of the Discord will be treated with respect and any breach of these rules will result in sanctions. The point of the PT Legacy Community Discord is for the discussion of the game/universe as a whole, if political, religious, social, etc. discourse becomes disruptive or predatory in nature, the Community team will act accordingly.
