After the results announcement, Civic Forum leader Jiang Zongren called a special press conference, announcing that he will be continuing his job as leader of CF. However, this decision was criticised by some among the party ranks, saying that with such disappointing results, Jiang should step down. While others closer to Jiang told reporters that the party was actually very successful in the province of Anle, becoming the second largest party, opposing the Communist Party. With all that is said, the scheduled 4374 First Party Congress of the Civic Forum will surely be interesting to watch.
