Dalibor City: Mayoral Candidate murdered!

Shocking news reached us just minutes ago. The Party Mayoral candidate and investigative journalist Li Lianzheng was shot at an election rally this morning and rushed to the hospital immediately. Now we have the sad certainty. Mr. Li died at the hospital from his injuries. Several of his supporters gathered at the hospital to mourn while users on social media are calling for an investigation.
The police arrested a suspect, 52-year old unemployed Chen W., who acted alone according to the Dalibor City Police. Many of Li Lianzheng's call the police's reports unreliable. They point it out as suspicious that the murder occured just days after Mr. Li overtook incumbent Mayor Wang Jinyong in pre-election polling. They believe in a political assassination by the triads and the establishment and call for an international investigation into the matter.
Li Lianzheng gained prominence through his work uncovering criminal human trafficking practices and stood on an unprecedented staunch anti-corruption and anti-triad platform.
