Patriots Disband!
The Premier Threat Against Kalistani Freedom Subsides
Conservatives, Socialists, and Liberals Alike Swarm the Streets in Celebration of the Dissolution of the Patriotic League
In a moment of ecstasy and hope, President James Koehler announced last week the Patriotic League's plan to disband and abdicate all offices after nearly forty years of terrorizing Kalistan. It is not known why the the officials of the League decided to disband, as they had done well in the past elections, though some suspect that they chose to disband due to internal issues and struggles. No matter what the reason for their sudden disbandment and abdications, this is a truly tremendous moment in Kalistani history.
For almost a week straight, the streets of Kalistani cities have been filled with have been filled with celebrators and carousers all making merry at the end of a terrible and divisive era and look forward to hope, a hope for new and better times, a hope for unharassed liberty, a hope for unity. The celebrators were joined by a number of public figures, from normally uptight politicians drunkenly stumbling and singing through the streets to political musicians playing their music for the thousands of Kalistanis in attendance. The celebrations were not without issue, though. Hundreds of pro-Patriot protesters took to the streets to counter the celebrators, but were ultimately unheard and forced to either go home or stay and remedy their sorrow and disappointment with alcohol and partying.
