Branching Out: President Sanders meets with King Aris on a state visit

Today Likatonia's president Sanders met with King Aris and his son Prince Aram at the Frontier house in Clovisport. It is understood Sanders reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the commonwealth. Likatonia has also confirmed it will not seek an embargo on Istalia and hopes that both parties can come to an agreement. Further Sanders spoke of how Likatonia can strengthen its trade ties with Pontesi it is hoped that Likatonia will be able to export its Timber and sell on Pontesian markets. President Sanders met with the Chronicle after the state visit.

We declined the request for an embargo on Istalia as this government does not believe that this would be the right course of action, however we understand that the situation is very fluid and could change quickly. We are looking forward to selling our Timber on Pontesian markets, this will create thousands of new jobs and boost our economic growth. Timber is becoming a commodity of increased importance across terra with demand projected to quadruple by 5600, it is sure to bring huge benefits to Likatonians and Pontesians. We would like to thank King Aris and his delegation for coming to Clovisport and we hope he has enjoyed his stay.

Likatonia hopes that this economic partnership will bring further prosperity to the region. In other news Likatonia has become a member of the Seleyan Economic Community, the treaty received bipartisan support in Liberty Hall. President Sanders has said that Likatonia will tap into these Trade opportunities and believes that Seleyan cooperation is crucial, he hopes that the SEC will be a unifying force in Seleya.
