The Revolutionary Unity Government welcomes Kundrati

This week, the President of Kundrati, Christian Akerlund Mnesilochus Santoro Kafuricus, visited Istalia to discuss further cooperation between the two nations. The leaders of the Revolutionary Unity Government met in private to discuss the terms proposed by Kundrati, which asked to let Kundrati invest on Istalian film and television industry, broadcasting Kundratijan television in Istalia, and promoting cultural exchanges between Kundrati and Istalia through the creation of an "Istalia-Kundrati Cultural Council". Nonetheless, the reactions from the leaders were a bit mixed: while they agreed on cooperating with Kundrati, some of the leaders disagreed with the last term, particularly Russo and Carvelli, as they are suspicious of Kundrati after having received Pontesians to discuss trade deals with them, of significant importance. Due to a lack of majority approval of the last term, the creation of an "Istalia-Kundrati Cultural Council" will not be approved, at least for as long as the relations between Istalia and Pontesi are hot, and/or Kundrati is favourable in any way to Pontesi.

"We respect Kundrati's decision to remain neutral, and we will not seek to convince them to cut ties with Pontesi, nor to take a stance against Pontesi, as unlike the Pontesian government, we are not imperialists and we are not going to go nation after nation to convince them to join us in our crusade against Pontesi and embargo them. Nonetheless, some of us remain sceptical enough of Kundrati to put some limits in our cooperation, as we cannot know how fond of Pontesi they actually are." said Berni in a joint statement, speaking in behalf of the Revolutionary Unity Government, despite his personal disagreement with the decision. However, the rest of the proposals by Kundrati were accepted and will be enacted as soon as possible, which hopefully might improve the relations between Istalia and Kundrati.
