A Letter to Yishelem

I am writing to you today to address not just my personal concerns, but the concerns that my nation, and the diaspora within Gaduridos harbour over the recent usage of nuclear weapons in Xsampa. I understand that in war, anything can happen and I understand that sacrifices are needed in war, but really? Nuclear weapons? This sets a dangerous precedent for all of Terra. You know what they say, you can't put the atomic genie back in the bottle once it's out. This move may inspire rogue nations to build up a nuclear arsenal or even start a nuclear arms race! 

Not only have you opened the atomic bottle, but you have caused a humanitarian crisis of unprecedented scale! Say what you will of the government and the ruling party in Xsampa, but innocent lives were there. Innocents that were snuffed out by a war out of their own control. They had lives! Dreams! Aspirations! Hopes! And all of that was snuffed out in an instant! 

I won't lie. I am quite frankly disappointed and worried. Gaduridos has placed trust in Beiteynu for a long time and my administration has continued to maintain that trust. But now I can't say that the trust in Beiteynu can be kept. It's not just me or my administration that is worried. Average Gaduri and even the Yeudi Diaspora in Gaduridos are worried and have strongly come out against the move your government has done. I know my colleagues in the rest of Ananto will feel more strongly. Her Imperial Majesty's government in Kalistan has already come out strong against Beiteynu. I can't say how the rest of the world will react. 

I know that you didn't decide to do this. You wouldn't. No one with a conscience would sign off on what amounts to genocide. Please, do what is right and bring those responsible for this tragedy to justice. Please.
