President Caleb Halili ousted from power by the "Sakura Coalition", Qiao Jiang sworen in as new president promising to shock therapy the country into the modern era: empty or real promises?

Watashina, Midway. Shocking news have came from Midway as the nation has finally ousted its entire government including both the presidency and parliament, the move came after 3 long years of unprecedented protests rocking the country's very existential foundations. The Confederation of Workers, Merchants, and Artists of Midway, led by Qiao Jiang officially formed the "Sakura Coalition" with its sister organization the Association for the Promotion of Pan Natonalist and Social Ideas under the idea of forming one united front against the authorities, and it seems that their strategy worked. Her supporters didn't waste any second as immediately after her speech, they stormed into parliament and the supreme court to have the immediately pass the impeachment procedure launched 3 years ago that got stalled by the president using the judges he personally appointed to delay the motion as much as possible. However, president Caleb Halili refused to resign even after both parliament and the supreme court approved the impeachment procedure, his move caused outrage among protesters as they all stormed into the presidential palace, but to their surprise, Cleb had already fled the premises and even left his official resignation letter on his desk. Shortly after the complete ousting of all politicians in Midway, parliament elected Qiao Jiang as president with an unanimous vote, making her the first female and Yingdalan president of Midway. During her inaugurational speech, Qiao promised to "radically transform our great country into a beast no one can tame," and "reclaim our right over the canal that has been shamelessly sold to those dirty plutocrats from Narikaton and Darnussia, trust me the days of their control over the control are numbered.
