Dolgavan-Dorvish Military and Trade Agreement

The now very public visit of the Dorvish Governemnt to Aikums has been well publicized at this point, with talks between the two sides extremely productive, and the Dolgavans government being encouraged by the friendship of the Kingdom of Dorvik, however the military talks until now had been merely speculation, and on the Dolgavan side, it is still uncertain what they discussed, however the public was informed today, and it matches Dorvish reports.

After several months, the Dolgavan Government has made public the military side of discussions made with the Kingdom of Dorvik, a decision that will certainly shape Dolgava's foreign policy platform going into the future, and shows that the new Government wants to solidify old alliances once again. The Dorvish representatives that came to Aikums helped lay the framework not only for bilateral trade agreements, (something that will greatly help both countries), but will let the Kingdom of Dorvik station naval forces in the Dolgavan city of Scharhofen. The existing port facilities there will be greatly expanded, and it will provide a key base for Dolgavan and Dorvish forces on the west side of Karzon. This agreement that has been made with the Kingdom of Dorvik, we benefit both of our countries, and ensuring that we stand strong in the face of instability and looming conflict in from both Kundrati, and Likatonia. By pursuing our friends and allies in Dorvik in friendship, we can once again grow closer with the Kingdom of Dorvik, Dolgava's oldest and strongest ally, outside of Lodamun. The Prime Minister will also be creating a new cabinet position called the Minister of Hulstro-Dolgavan Heritage, which will help preserve and protect the Dundorfian and Dorvish people in Dolgava, by preserving their identity and their culture. This was unprompted from Dorvik, but it is seen as a move to help boost the Hulstro-Dolgavan population.

The new government has also taken actions to further patrols in the Karzon strait, as well as put more air patrols into both Dolgavan airspace, and closing on on Likatonian airspace.

Dolgavan Prime Minister Jaanus Jogi announced sweeping sanctions on the nations of Likatonia and Kundrati, this also comes with warnings to Dolgavans in multiple countries. The Prime Minister quickly took to the airwaves this morning calling the Likatonian and Kundrati states out for their actions, as well as saying that Dolgava will not stand idly by while the peace in Seleya gets trampled on by these states. His statement is as follows

Good Morning,

Today I have made the regrettable decision to ask the Minister  of Trade and Tariffs, Katrin Keskkula  to put full sanctions on the nations of Likatonia and Kundrati. This is in response to aggression on both Kalistan and Lodamun. We have shared a long history of friendship and mutual peace and respect with our neighbors across the Karzon Strait, and we will stand alongside them against any nation. Lodamun especially shares a mutual defensive pact around the Strait of Karzon, something we are finally upholding once again, and we will continue to keep the Karzon strait secure. If we believe it cannot be secure, we will take efforts to shut down the Karzon Strait to any warship that is not a nation bordering the strait.

The warmongering governments in Kundrati and Likatonia are bringing uncertainty and chaos to the region, and we will stand up firm against these nations. These sanctions will ensure that peace and stability remain for not only Dolgava, and Keris, but for our friends in Seleya. I want to be very clear where the Kingdom of Dolgava stands, and I will not waiver on this.

As of now, our nation stands strong and free. We will not allow conflict to come to Keris, we will not allow our waterways to be used for invading armies, and we will not submit to governments filled with insane asylum inmates. These governments think they can push around countries, but they will get another thing coming for them.

As of now we stand ready, the strait will be patrolled with our aircraft, we will continue to prowl the seas, and we will not rest.

The speech was a major rebuttal for the growing tensions on the Lodamun-Likatonia border, as well as growing international pressure caused by Likatonia and Kundrati. He has used strong words, and has made Dolgava's position clear, but no one can mistake where Dolgava stands.
