FStop Tops Charts Once More
Poppunk LP "Suburban Hellscape" Breaks records across Republic

ARC's release of FStop's Suburban Hellscape debuts at Number 1 on Album Charts

A Battle of the Bands is heating up in Suldanor as FStop release their long awaited third Album, titled Suburban Hellscape on ARC. The album debuted on both the Modern Rock Album Charts and the industry leader All Republic Album Charts at Number 1, selling more than 1 million copies in its first week after release. The massive debut sets a record for Modern Rock debuts, and puts the poppunk band from Dana back on top of the Kalistani music industry.

Other accolades followed the honors at release: The lead single from the Album, the skapop jam "Only a Girl" hit number 1 on M7's request show "Week in Demand" and blasted into Number 1 on the KRTVN Hot 100 Charts after spending only two weeks on the chart, making it officially the highest charting poppunk song in Kalistani History. This monster record's international sales threaten to surpass domestic sales of the record, topping 1 million units last week alone. Strongest sales were recorded in Northern Seleya, with Gaduridos and Yindala showing strong performance.

The band did not seem too surprised by the performance. "We've played some huge shows recently, where we previewed some of these songs to our audience," said singer Billie Pepper. "So fans knew what to expect, sort of." For this album the band teamed up with ARC producer Buzz Hamilton, who worked with FStop on their non-album single "Oi! for the World", and has both production and engineering credits on half a dozen ARC records to his name. "We really liked working with Buzz," said Pepper. "He had a different idea in mind often than we were thinking, and his motto was 'Think Bigger'. He has the vision." Together the band created a much more refined sound that leaned heavier on the rock side, and used ska and punk as flavoring.

While "Only a Girl" is the lead single, artistically, there are signs that the band is maturing. The circus themed "The Clouds" which was written by Gerald Pepper and given to the group for the album, shows growth toward a more mainstream hard rock, which will of course broaden their fan base in Kalistan and abroad. But the band keeps one foot solidly in the poppunk and skapunk worlds, with moshable tunes like "Came up with the Breeze" and "Pardon Me", while their second single, "Answering Machine" takes on Reggae Rock Fusion which is currently the staple of 420.

Praise for the Record also came in from Critics. Jeff Bluefield of the rock website "Kaliburg Today" gave the record 4 out of 4 stars, saying, "When I was walking around in downtown Kaliburg yesterday and saw a jeep filled with Red partisans blasting "Only a Girl" out of their stock militia speakers, I knew we had something on our hands that was different and unique." Vera Ivanova Schultz of "All Kali Rock" said "I give this record an A+. Pepper's voice, and the things she is singing about speak to the whole generation, who can and will reward this band over and over again, until Suburban Hellscape reaches saturation in the Republic."
