After leading the Catholic Political Union since its inception in 3021 and served as President 10 times, Thomas Stanmore has stood down from political life and made way for a new political leader, Tomas Neumann. This closes a glittering political career that has witnessed great achievements for party and country. At the last general election, the party soared to 30% of the vote. His successor is expected to struggle to hold onto that support in the election due within a few months, as the political competition is intense and two new parties have entered the fray.

Dorvik and Kirlawa meet in Micana to discuss bilateral ties.
April, 5556 (Backdated)
Dorvik - Dorvish State Chancellor Ardaric von Rohr-Mauss, Foreign Minister Andrej Weschler met with their Kirlawan counter-parts, Prime Minister Aoife Ó Niall and Foreign Minister Ciaran Fitzhugh in the port city of Micana, Ubhaca (Uwakah). The high-level meeting was meant to discuss a number of topics including economic cooperation and the development of deeper ties between the two neighboring nations. The Dorvish, on a bevy of bilateral meetings, continued to expand their focus on the Black Mountain Chain Railway and the renewal of interest in their Southern Pipeline project after a meeting with Aloria where the topic seems to take shape again after centuries of being blocked by inactive governments in Aloria. The historic meeting in Uwakah highlighted the deep cultural ties that Kiralwa and Dorvik share, not only in once being member states of the Dundorfian Reich but also the prominent Dorvish minority in Uwakah, which was once the site of a conflict between the two nations. "Micana, and Uwakah as a whole highlight that our past can bind and unbind us and the meeting here signifies after centuries that two nations can be strong partners with each other." The Dorvish government released a report focusing on the trading highlights between Kirlawa and Dorvik, similar to that of Dorvik and Aloria, where over-land trade through border towns in southern Miktar are the gateway to the economic success of Dorvish and Kiralawan economies. The Dorvish economic interest in Kirlawa is largely financial-based with several major Dorvish banks operating in Kirlawa but also in a number of other sectors such as automobiles and timber. The Dorvish hope to expand the Black Mountain Chain Railway, which connects to the port city of MIcana to other major cities in Kirlawa and hopes Kirlawa gives approval for the Southern Pipeline project, connecting them to Dorvik's vast network of oil and natural gas.
