Vanessa Taylor: “Good evening, Hutori, and welcome to HBC’s Election Night 5832 coverage. I’m Vanessa Taylor, here with our full team of correspondents across the country as we watch the results roll in. It’s been a long, passionate campaign, with the Liberals defending a tenuous minority government, and every other party hoping for a breakthrough. The question tonight: Who will form government in the new Parliament—and with whom? This is also a key election as 10 new seats were added across the country, 4 in Kenai, 3 in Adelia, 2 in Falristan and 1 in Lagard. We're going to go live to the Isle of Sutton where election results are beginning to come in.”
ISLE OF SUTTON – 15 SEATS
TOMAS DELANEY (LIVE IN Sutton City)
Tomas: “Vanessa, the first results are in from the Isle of Sutton—a bellwether province in any election. And already, some surprises tonight.”
Tomas: “This is a blow to the Conservatives, who were hoping to hold more than three seats, losing one to the National Labour increasing their seat count on the island to four. This showing proves their working-class base remains energized here, and the Greens continue to punch above their weight in environmental ridings.”
Vanessa: “No wins for the Republicans in Sutton—a bad omen for them out the gate considering Sutton's normally rebellious nature. But now, let’s head to the mainland and the province of Roccato.”
ROCCATO - 30 SEATS
ASHLEY BANFIELD (LIVE IN KINCARDINE)
Banfield: Vanessa, Roccato has long been seen as a left leaning stronghold, with Labour and the Liberals holding the vast majority of the seats. New Labour stronghold, lot's of blue collar workers, lots of organized labour. The Premier is the only standing Labour Premier in the country and was out on the stump for Rachel McKenna everyday of the campaign. But those National Labour voters are who Michael Kensington relied on getting elected.
Banfield: It looks like Labour is going capture the lionshare of the seats here and at the provincial level it's translated with the Labour Party of Roccato now taking enough seats for their to be a new Premier in the province. This is big news. Also big news is that the Republicans are on the map, having grabbed three seats. The Greens held their own, staying strong with three seats across the province.
Total Seat Counts
Taylor: Looking at the total seat counts, the Liberals are still leading, but already down a few seats from four years ago, with National Labour in a strong second. I know the Conservatives were hoping for some kind of momentum, especially going into Kenai, a traditional Liberal stronghold but we'll see as we turn south to Hutori's second most populous province. The recent redistricting, saw Kenai expand to four new Ridings, two in St. Adrian, one in St. Anslem and one in Port Prosperity. We'll go live to the results.
KENAI – 70 SEATS
RAYAN THORNE (LIVE IN SAINT ADRIAN)
Rayan: “Vanessa, it’s been a fierce fight here in Kenai—the political heartland of Hutori, and the home province of Prime Minister Michael Kensington. I'm here at his campaign headquarters in St. Adrian. The Liberals are counting on Prime Minister Kensington to show up strong here. The provincial Liberal government essentially shut itself down and was on the stump everyday. Also key here is the Republican element. Republican Leader Warren Douglas spent most of the campaign between here and Adelia. Kenai is the home of the Republican movement in Hutori and I think he was hoping for some kind of breakthrough. His rhetoric changed in the campaign, going from just talking about a Federal Republic and talking about actually governing. We'll see how that translates here. I know the Conservatives were also keen on making some breakthroughs here. Kenai is home to five major military bases, and all have been reliable Conservative voters for years. Here we go.”
Rayan: “The Prime Minister holds onto his seat in Saint Adrian Lavel, but the Liberal hold here has eroded. The Republicans made serious inroads—especially in rural and exurban ridings. Douglas Warren, their leader, wins re-election in Port Prosperity Oceanview, giving the party its strongest provincial result ever.”
Lena (studio): “This is big. The Republicans are finally showing they can compete outside the margins. And Kenai’s results now put a dent in Liberal hopes of reaching even a soft majority.
Total Seat Counts
Taylor: The Liberals now have a cushion, a cushion they desperately need going into Adelia, the conservative heartland of the country. The Conservatives have also made critical gains and are only a seat behind National Labour for second place. The Republicans thanks to their outstanding result, have passed the Green Party for the first time and have almost tripled their seat count, which stood at five at the closing of the last Parliament. We'll see if this momentum continues into Adelia where I know Douglas was hoping for a major breakthrough, despite the immense popularity of the Monarchy in Adelia.
ADELIA – 113 SEATS
ANCHOR: MARIA DE COSTA (LIVE IN ACTON)
Maria: “Vanessa, Adelia was make-or-break for the Conservatives… and they made it count.”
Maria: “Robert Calloway has held onto his seat in Acton Rosedale, and the Conservatives remain the dominant force here—especially in the outer suburbs and rural Adelia. However, it wasn’t enough to push them past the Liberals nationally.”
Total Seat Counts
The Conservatives surged passed National Labour and have taken a strong second place and are within striking distance of the Liberals.
Taylor: “A strong showing, yes, but not a breakthrough. Still, that’s two strong provinces for the Conservatives in a row. Can they keep the pressure on? Let’s head west to…”
LAGARD – 43 SEATS
ANCHOR: DEVAN HARTLEY (LIVE IN CONSTANTINE)
Devan: “Vanessa, welcome to green country. Jonathan Leclerc will be very pleased tonight. Lagard is a battleground absolutely, but it's a place where the Greens are strongest. The mountains of Lagard are considered amongst Hutori's last untamed beauty, and the Greens always do extremely well here.”
Devan: “The Greens nearly cracked the top here, holding ten seats—including a resounding victory for Leclerc in Constantine Mountainview. The Conservatives edged out the Liberals in raw numbers, but no dominant force emerged.”

Taylor: “Lagard just proved how fragmented the electorate is becoming. Whatever happened in Falristan, it's apparent that the National Labour Party won't form government but they will end up as the principal powerbroker. This is all going to come down to the Conservatives and Liberals. The Greens have take their spot ahead of the Republicans, and whatever else, they've improved on their last result, now up one no matter what occurs. Four competitive parties here—and that’s going to make coalition talks in Parliament... interesting. But first, the final numbers are coming in from the west…”
FALRISTAN – 59 SEATS
ANCHOR: DINA RAMESH (LIVE IN CARTER CITY)
Dina: “Lena, we’re closing the night with big news from Falristan. Labour and the Liberals split the riding map, but the Conservatives didn’t go quietly.”
Dina: “This was a battleground, but Prime Minister Kensington's Liberals held strong. Labour’s growth continues, and while the Greens and Republicans struggled to gain ground here, the big story is stability—Falristan remains a Liberal fortress. We know that the Conservatives were hoping for extreme vote splits to let them come up the middle and take it, but it doesn't look like it came to fruition.
Taylor: With the results from Falristan in, we can finally make a prediction that the Liberal Government will form a Minority Government in the next Parliament.

This all but guarantees the Liberals will look to McKenna’s National Labour for a formal or confidence-and-supply agreement.
