Arañotz Dindairu nominated by the APPA; Bread and Bombs campaign begins

The recent snap elections announced for February have seen various parties begin their intents to run, with a plethora of platforms. And the latest addition to the political scene is none other than the APPA. Rather quickly, they have nominated Arañotz Dindairu, who has already taken to campaigning with the slogan, "Bread and Bombs".

Today, we stand here not just as free citizens, but as citizens of a beautiful nation. But there are those who want to destroy our beloved way of life. Our home. Our future. Our very democracy. Those across the Strait. The Legion. Very nasty group. They terrorize our free people. Terrorize our union. Terrorize our families. This has gone on long enough and it's time we say no more! The political establishment has chosen to sit idly by and tell you to accept being bombed. "We can't make medicine if we make missiles". That's nonsense! We can make houses while giving the Legion hell. And I say we must do that. The KPP says they want stability. You want to know what I say? I say bomb the Mainland! Bombs and Welfare! We don't need more centrism. We need bold action. We need food for families and hellfire for the Legion. The PRKN-A List, lovely group, very great, they got the right ideas. We need to be bold. We need to have teeth. We need to be fierce. I won't lie to you folks, I have some disagreements with them but the truth is, they're willing to fight against those fascists in the mainland. They say let's bite back, and I say gladly! I want to see every Etxean uplifted out of poverty. Every single one, I want to see you be able to afford your rent, put food on the table, enjoy safety, and I most especially want you to be able to afford a TV so you can see us glassing any Legionnaire who dares to harm our beautiful, lovely free nation.

Already, Dindairu has been nothing short of controversial. While he has shown interest in working with the PRKN-A List, his hawkish has unnerved some moderates. Combined with the desire to enact sweeping welfare reforms, critics find themselves asking how it can be financed. While elections are only three months away, Dindairu and his fellow Neo-Progressives have been making slow ground so far. While it's too early to say how much ground, and whether they'll win seats, let alone presidency, their hawkish views certainly mean that they won't shy away from conflict with the Legion. Despite the populist insurgency campaign, there is a possibility, slim as it may be, that the APPA can actually win some seats. 

Despite the contradictions of running a left wing hawkish campaign, the Dindairu Campaign has also called for further cooperation with Artanian nations to foster Pan-Artanian cooperation and counter extremism whenever it emerges in Artania. However, the main aspect of the Dindairu Campaign is of course, the hawkish foreign policy and the generous welfare advocacy.
