State visit of Alessandro V and Minister Saragat to Kanjor

Trade agreement and stretegic security cooperation signed between Romula and Atyr

ATYR, KANJOR – A new page in the diplomatic and economic relations between Istalia and Kanjor was written today, on the occasion of the official visit of Emperor Alexander V to the Kanjora capital. Welcomed with full honors by the Governor General and Premier Bruno LeFebvre, the Head of the Imperial State took part in a series of bilateral meetings that led to the finalization of an important economic and trade cooperation agreement between the two nations.

The negotiations, which have developed at a rapid pace in recent weeks, are part of a broader Istalia strategy aimed at strengthening international trade and ensuring preferential conditions for certain goods and resources considered strategic. The agreement establishes a special trade regime that provides for tariff reductions, privileged channels for import-export and measures for the protection of sensitive economic sectors by both nations.

The positive climate of the negotiations was also favored by the political harmony between the two governments: the parties currently in power in Istalia and Kanjor, both social democratic parties, share a common vision on workers' rights and social protection. This led to the inclusion in the agreement of specific provisions aimed at protecting employment and welfare services in the economic sectors involved, with particular attention to the social impact of international trade.

Despite the natural historical and institutional differences, Istalia and Kanjor also share a deep cultural and spiritual affinity. In both countries, in fact, the Aurorian Church plays an important role in public and religious life. The Theognosian Rite, dominant in both societies, represents a further symbolic bridge between the two peoples. Precisely in this spirit, the Empress, a devout Aurorian, who accompanied His Majesty during the visit, reportedly expressed the desire to meet the Arch-Patriarch at Ville-de-Saint. Sources close to the delegation report that the Empress has kindly requested the Government of Kanjor to facilitate the organization of a private visit to the elderly Holy Father, taking into account the fact that Kanjor currently ensures the security of the borders and customs controls of the Holy City.

But the negotiations on the trade agreement between the two country touched also another matter and the Istalian visit also had an important geopolitical value: gioven the recent tensions with Selucia regarding the tariffs imposed for transit through the Migrant Pass, Istalia expressed its willingness to build a cooperative axis with Kanjor that can be extended to other states in the south of Selucia and the east of Majatra, with the aim of guaranteeing freedom of navigation and free passage through the south-eastern seas, which are essential for regional and global trade.

Another central point of the summit was the launch of a structured collaboration in the field of security and defense. Istalia and Kanjor agreed on the opportunity to strengthen coordination between their respective intelligence agencies, in order to increase mutual security through the exchange of strategic information and the sharing of best practices in the fight against organized crime and transnational threats.

The state visit ended with an official ceremony at the Government Palace, during which Emperor Alessandro V gave a speech marked by cooperation and brotherhood among the democratic nations of Earth.

Today's agreement represents not only a step forward for our economies but also an example of how the bonds between like-minded nations can produce shared and lasting solutions for the challenges of our time.

With this new agreement, Istalia expands its ties even more on the international scene and strengthens its role as a promoter of fair trade, strategic cooperation and a regional if not global order based on dialogue and mutual respect, although, as also recalled by Minister Secretary of State Saragat:

Respect for the dignity and fundamental freedoms of peoples by part of their own government should be the basis of any dialogue and peaceful coexistence among the nations of Terra.
