Pressure on Yishelem increases to formally join Jelbic Empire

Two diplomats from Wiel pressure a Beiteynuese counterpart during a recent economic investment meeting between the two states.
Wiel has upped the pressure on Yishelem in recent weeks, several insiders have revealed how Wrnuke's ambassador in Yishelem has requested almost daily meetings with the highest offices of Beiteynu. Right now the Emperor of the Jelbic Peoples, Bunjamín Banmek-Sntazed, is the coronated Meleh (monarch) of Beiteynu. Every other nation which recognises Bunjamín as its monarch or sworn sovereign has already joined the official binding framework of the Empire of the Jelbic Peoples. The diplomatic treaty is a supranational union uniting all nations of the Jelbosphere and are mostly focused on the succession of the imperial title, trade between member states and a special parliament for all member states. The last article however focuses on the defence apparatus of all member states, with Emperor Bunjamín being ceremonial commander-in-chief of Beiteynu's armed forces the governmental forces in Wiel feel that Yishelem should join the treaty.
For several years now the Yeudi nation has kept the treaty at bay, out of all nations currently involved in the treaty only Wrnuke can equal Beiteynu's influence and power. For several years Beiteynu has attempted to keep this sovereignty, using their special position outside of the Empire of Jelbic Peoples to conduct business as usual. Since diplomatic pressure by Wrnuke failed in these years they have increasingly invested in essential industries of Beiteynu. Now the pressure is mounting on the Yeudish state, as soft threats have been allegedly issued from Wiel according to unofficial channels. Yishelem also has a growing interest in Wiel being pro-active in their affairs, as the recent 3rd Point situation has shown. Wrnuke's inactivity during this small "crisis" has been suspected to be deliberate to force Beiteynu's hand. Beiteynu is expected to make a decision within the next few weeks.

Emperor Bunjamín summons representatives: Great Council must meet
10 December 5558

The newly constructed parliamentary hall of the Great Council of the Empire of the Jelbic Peoples in the city of Ur Bahra in Barmenistan.
After three years the construction of the new Hall of the Great Council has been finished on the island of Kathuristan in the Shahdom of Barmenistan. In 5555 engineers from Wiel arrived on the island and construction was started, with consent from the government of Barmenia. Ur Bahra's port was renovated to allow for sea traffic, a small airport was established and a special diplomatic district was assigned by city planners. Now, in November 5558, the new central parliament of the Jelbic Empire has officially been opened by the Emperor's representative from Wiel, Prince Pawl Banmek-Sntazed. The treaty of the Jelbic Empire calls for a supranational parliament, where member states will have a different amount of seats based on the percentage of Jelbics within their nation. The idea of the Great Council is to strengthen ties between the nations of the Empire, shorten the lines of communication, and to establish pan-Jelbic initiatives based on culture and trade. Brme's island of Kathuristan was chosen for its central location in North-Western Majatra, and after extensive lobbying of the Brmék government.
Recent global tensions have caused the Emperor of the Jelbic Peoples, Bunjamín, to call for the first official meeting of the new supranational parliament. The Emperor's summons have been confirmed by Wiel, in particular Prefect Nasir has sent a formal request to all member states to meet for the first official session. Agenda points will be establishing a chair of the parliament and then discussing recent international affairs. "It is important to maintain a pan-Jelbic discourse, global stability at this moment in time is extremely fragile and the Empire of the Jelbic Peoples has a responsibility to do its part to maintain it." Invites, or rather summons, have been sent to Barmenia, Pontesi, and Jelbe. Even Beiteynu has been invited to send observers, as Wiel is still insisting they too join the supranational framework. Emperor Bunjamín has declared he will personally attend the first session, using it to mark the end of his tour of Barmenia. For several weeks the Emperor has been touring cities and villages across Brme, a traditional duty of the Shah of Barmenia. Newborn children have been blessed and several upstanding citizens were awarded horses of Temrkai's Breed, a rare honour in the Jelbic culture akin to a knighthood in Luthori.

Jelbic Empire ready to mobilize, more funds to Defence

The construction of the KJW Támnr, the lead vessel of the new Kezkai V-class aircraft carriers, is well underway in Wrnuke's largest shipyard.
Recent tensions within what Wiel considers its "sphere", that being the Jelbic Empire, Beiteynu, and its close allies like Narikaton & Darnussia, have once more caused an increase in defence spending in the Empire's largest nation Wrnuke. Prefect Temrmai Nasir and the Minister of Defence approved a special budget for further investments in the domestic arms industry. An insider source alleged that a special fund was also approved to invest in the defence industry of the Empire's member states. The Ministry of Defence refused to comment on this allegation, but was willing to offer extensive comments about its future 'pride of the fleet'; the KJW Támnr. The naval prefix KJW stands for Kns'hlajogad Jadjohydwas Wrnuke, which means 'warship of Wrnuke'. Támnr, translated to Glory, is Wrnuke's traditional designation for the prime aircraft carrier of the Kingdom. It has been a long time since the nation has fielded a Támnr, but this iteration would be the eight ship of that name and the third aircraft carrier. "The Támnr has always been a part of Wrnuke's naval identity, a piece of tradition and culture, something we have lost along the way, when this ship is hosianized and officially added to the fleet that missing part will be added once again," said Rear Admiral Jebr Shlajvrnsrmo, the current commander of Wrnuke's I. Vlótzgrsho which is the fleet that will receive the new aircraft carrier. The KJW Támnr will be the lead ship of the Kezkai V-class, named after former King Kezkai V who oversaw much of Wrnuke's economic and military recovery in the last few decades. The aircraft carrier has been under construction since January 5552 and has faced several delays as Wrnuke is finding its footing again in the specialized sector of carrier construction. A milestone has now been reached as the final part of the carrier's structure has been added. The navy has been in a rush to deploy the vessel to increase the efficiency and strength of its fleet, but the dockyard in Havendam has refused to budge calling for "quality over quantity".
Prefect Nasir has also declared that Wrnuke, and the Emperor, are ready to mobilize the armed forces of the Empire of the Jelbic Peoples whenever the situation requires it. "Only recently Lodamun has greatly threatened the peace of several close allies of Wiel, and the Empire will not hesitate to mobilize its forces to defend the sovereignty of its member states and allies." The words were met with loud applause in the Grand Council of Wrnuke. Words were put to action as the II. Vlótzgrsho, Wrnuke's Second Fleet, set sail towards the Migrant's Pass only hours after the Prefect gave her statement. The rapid action fleet, consisting of a dozen frigates and several auxiliary vessels, set sail specifically to counter recent ambitions from other nations. A spokesperson from the Ministry of Defence reiterated that Wrnuke has been absent from recent actions: "Beiteynu, Narikaton and Darnussia, Pontesi, they have all been present in this clash of nations within the Migrant's Pass, Wrnuke's fleet has been patrolling but holding back. Now that is changing, due to a shift in recent geopolitics the high command has given explicit orders to aggressively defend the interests of the Jelbic Empire. Member states have been informed and coordinated action will present itself." The governments of Beiteynu and Pontesi have yet to comment on Wiel's new assertive state.
Krsyiji Sagmot'l (United Media) is the national news agency of Wrnuke, it is decidedly pro-government but can at times be critical of it.
