The Imperial Household confirms rumours of Empress Valeria's pregnancy

Fort William - The Orange Palace has today announced to the media that the Empress Valeria was pregnant, confirming rumours that have grown ever since the Empress' relative withdrawal from public eye since some weeks, the Imperial Household Ministry confirmed the Orange Palace's statement by adding that the Imperial Family was aware of the Empress' pregnancy since at least 4 weeks, with the Emperor and other members of the imperial family taking over more and more of Her Imperial Majesty's appointments and representations after the private announcement.

Emperor Richard II and Empress Valeria's couple had seemingly "decided to wait" until having children ever since their large marriage ceremony in Fort William in 5636, and today, four years into their marriage, the two senior royals seemingly decided that now was the perfect time to have children together.

The Prime Minister of Luthori, Lord Windbury extended his and the Government's "warmest congratulations to the imperial couple" for this "extraordinary event for the House of Orange-Villayn", the Home Office (Home Secretary) and the Foreign Office also extended similar messages at the attention of the Imperial Family. Other members of the imperial family reacted to the official announcement through small, warm declarations to the press or in social media.

Emperor Richard II was unavailable for a comment upon this development for his family, but the presence of the Empress upon some events is being called onto question, as the Empress and Emperor are supposed to attend the Kalistani Empress' wedding in September and the Imperial Family's doctors have asked the Imperial Household Ministry to reduce the amount of public engagements that the Empress should attend, in order to preserve both her health and that of the future baby, a call that was repeated by the Emperor himself.

News of the Empress' pregnancy created a "imperial fever" in Luthorian media ever since, with numerous Luthorians feeling "excited" to "know" whether or not this baby will be a "baby boy" or "baby girl", the first leading to the first succession of Emperors since Emperor Albert and Emperor Charles VII, or if its a baby girl, Luthori will once again have an Empress after the Emperor's death or abdication.
