Right-of-centre opposition parties unite in an electoral coalition for the next legislative election
Almost a year of negotiations and a year before the next election, the centre-right opposition parties have finally agreed to run as a united force

Months of tense negotiations across the country, with their own party members and political expers are finally bringing the result: there will be an oppposition coalition in 5643. An announcement which came out early in the morning from the BDA social media accounts, saying they have reached an agreement on the electoral alliance with the "pro-democracy opposition forces", without specifying which ones exactly. For months the speculations have been rising about whether the BDA and Gurun would actually unite to push SPP off the throne, though both parties were rather sceptical about it, and in the end they were right.

Leaders Tabai Wenggot of the Bianjie Democratic Alliance, Dorgon Jong of the Party for the People and Nandu Ulri of the Innovation Party came out to the press with a copy of the agreement, thus officially confirming the electoral alliance named the Democratic People's Coalition and its member parties running jointly in the next year's election in May. Wenggot, who has been leading the Democrats for almost 15 years now, targeting the Premier's seat, said he is confident that "only in unity we can achieve anything, including a strong and stable majority". Polls do indicate that then-hypothetical coalition of the three right-of-centre parties can pose a threat to the SPP dominance and its 6th consecutive term in office. 

Many journalists asked Wanggot about the Gurun, and what role will it play in the opposition's grand play next year if not as a member of the electoral alliance. BDA's president said that the Gurun and others "didn't agree on most of the issues", but added that Gurun is "ready for constructive cooperation locally in districts" to deny SPP the majority, though Wenggot said that DPC had to concede some points of the alliance programme to get Gurun to agree on such configuration. DPC leaders say that the "work is only beginning", as the newly-formed coalition is yet to find and field candidates by the January next year, and agree with Gurun on where their endorsement would be worthy of dropping out, and other formal things required to both register the coalition and be successful in a year.

SPP leaders did give any significant reactions to the DPC being formed, mostly avoiding or ignoring the subject, however, Yuan President, Ilha Niyungtu told BHK that the "righists are free to do anything, and keep deceiving people into believing some utopian ideas and projects", refusing to believe in any kind of electoral success of the opposition coalition against the SPP machina.
