Queen Jaanika has died at the age of 57, from an apparent heart attack. The Queen was residing in the Grey Palace, after spending the previous day spending time with family, as well as getting her monthly hair appointment. She passed away in her sleep during the night, with the Royal Palace making this statement. 

It is with profound sorrow that the Royal Palace announces the passing of Her Most Fair and Beautiful Royal Majesty, of the House of Rothingren-Ludwig, Jaanika by the Grace of God, Queen of Dolgava, Protecter of Freedom and Liberty, Duchess of Karzon, Countess of Noversk, Princess of Hutori and Duchess of Middenhall, Heir of the House of Anais, Princess of Hulstria, Protector of the Eastern Territories, Duchess of Petrovgrad, Princess of Trigunia, Princess of Verona, Princess of Deltaria, Countess of Rothingren Protector of the Königreich, Advocate for the People, left us last night, to be with her almighty creator. 

Queen Jaanika's life was served in the service of others, as her role as Queen, and for her humanitarian work across Dolgava. She carried out her duties with dignity, class and with no complaint. Her character is a true testament to the good that the Royal Family provides Dolgava, and the peace and stability that the monarch provides. She stood for peace and democracy, and for the rights of everyone.

In accordance with the laws of Succession, this morning, Prince Kazimierz has ascended to the throne as His Majesty King Kazimierz of Dolgava, effective immediately. Further details regarding the state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Jaanika and the coronation of His Majesty King Kazimierz will be announced in due course. His majesty has expressed deep gratitude for the people of Dolgava and those in the international community in supporting him and his family during this time of great loss. 

May Eliyahu Bless and Keep Queen Jaanika's memory, and may he guide and strengthen King Kazimierz in his reign.
