Another year, another attempt by laissez-faire capitalists to destroy Kalistan and her people. This time, the LDP has tried a new tactic in its seemingly limitless quest to utterly annihilate everything that makes Kalistan Kalistan. This time, not only have they completely abandoned the Kalistani people by taking away their cheap and high quality healthcare (The healthcare market has already been supersaturated with high-cost, low-quality hospitals looking for a quick buck), but the LDP has also decided to open Kalistan's economy up for colonization by foreign entities by removing the imperative restrictions that have prevented foreign foreign companies and individuals from buying up a majority share in Kalistani companies. But wait, there's more. Not only has the LDP sponsored the destruction of the healthcare system and the economic colonization of Kalistan, but they have also moved the education of our youth to the private sector entirely. Yes, you read that correctly. They privatized basic education. Is there nothing that the LIDP won't put a price tag on?

In typical underrepresented opposition fashion, the NCP has taken immediate action in order to cushion the terrible and disgusting effects of the LDP's contemporary policies. As they have done so once before in the past, the NCP has mobilized the CAK Medical Corps of each district in an effort to provide free and quality healthcare to the people. Also, similarly to the National Defense Consortium of old, the NCP has organized a group of prominent and wealthy Kalistanis to invest in Kalistani companies and, this time, to ensure Kalistani domination of Kalistani industry. This group, called the All-Kalistan Consortium, has already achieved a majority share in multiple companies and seems to be the last line of defense for the sovereignty and prosperity of the Kalistani economy.

Let me end this article with a question to you readers: What has the LDP done for you? Were they the ones who gave you the freedoms which you enjoy? Were they the ones who have fought for your well-being and prosperity? Were they the ones who built this country into a utopian paradise? No. The answer is no. What they have done though is destroy our economy multiple times, attack our rights at every chance possible when it can end with profit, and stand up to the parties which have fought for Kalistan and her people while submitting to the fascists in order to achieve their primary goal of the accumulation of profit and power. So reader, what have they done for you? For us, they've taken our utopian paradise, chewed it up, and spit out a dystopian hellhole.

The National Conservative Party is fast approaching the mark of being ten years active after being dissolved for multiple decades. Since their recreation, the NCP has yet been able to reclaim its position as one of the hegemonic parties of Kalistan, being largely pushed to the side by the dominating Party for Capitalist Freedom and the Liberal Party of Kalistan. Today's leaders of the NCP blame this decade of malaise primarily on the party's lack of activity (Meaningful campaigning and legislation) and the lack of transparency in regards to the new stances of the party. The Third NCP claims to be taking a more right wing stance than the Second NCP, but still claims to support the most fundamental leftist principles of Kalistan, including the re-establishment of the dual economy and the protection of the rights of workers over those of corporations.

The NCP has already put an omnibus bill (Labeled the NatCon Omnibus) to a vote aimed at clarifying the positions of the NCP, but, today, the party has also kickstarted its 4637 election campaign with a large rally in Vrassa City, the capital of the northern-most district of Vrassa. This rally was attended by thousands of supporters of the NCP as well as hundreds of off-duty CAK militants. The headlining event of this rally has been the speeches given by Lois Moore, candidate for President of the Republic; John Colbert, shadow Premier; and Ollie Gardiner, the Director of the NCP; as well as a number of other NCP officials and activists, but nobody received as much thunderous applause than the three aforementioned NatCons.

Fellow Kalistanis, fellow conservatives, it is widely accepted that the duty of every Kalistani to defend the Republic, both with words and arms. In the past, who has it been that has given its all to defend the Republic? Who has adhered to this duty the most in this last century? Who was it that first took up arms against the fascist regime of the Patriotic League? Who was it that tried at every opportunity to prevent the economically destructive policies of the Liberal Democratic Party, and who was it that gave its all to prevent the negative effects of Shock Therapy policy on the Kalistani downtrodden? Who is it that defended our Kalistani principles with strength and ferocity against those who would wish to see them destroyed for political gain? It has been the National Conservative Party that has been at the frontline of all the battles for the preservation of our values, and we will always be on the frontline of this eternal struggle for the wellbeing of our nation and people. Comrades, whenever you find yourself at the ballot box, remember what the NCP has done for Kalistan. Remember the history of our people, and keep in mind the possibilities for our future. JT: Good afternoon, Minister Feinstein, Minister Siddall.

DF: Afternoon.

JT: Minister Feinstein, there've been rumors going around that you've been in contact with the Kazulian government over some sort of trade agreement. Is there any truth to this?

DF: Yes, Mr. Trejo-Martinez, I can confirm that I've personally been in talks with representatives of the Kazulian government for a while now, we've been discussing the possibility of a broad trade agreement between Kalistan and Kazulia.

JT: And what exactly would this agreement entail?

DF: We haven't gone too much into specifics, but, in general, the agreement would see Kazulian companies opening factories in Kalistan as well as cooperation between Kalistan and Kazulia on industrial R&D initiatives.

JT: And why did Kazulia choose to approach us? Relations between our two countries have been quite rocky in the past, what gain could convince them to overlook past quarrels?

DF: Well, profit speaks louder than anything. For Kazulian companies, that profit comes from our zero percent corporation tax rate. For us, the profit comes from increased industrial development.

JT: And Minister Siddall, have you taken part in these negotiations?

DS: I have, but to a lesser extent. For the most part, I've advised Minister Feinstein and our negotiators on Kalistan's economic needs and issues.

JT: And what exactly were those needs and issues?

DS: Kalistan used to be one of the world's leaders in the extraction of crude oil and ferrominerals, but those industries have largely been in decay over the past decades. I've advised that these industries need to be built back up first and foremost and need to be in the hands of Kalistanis. I don't believe this was an issue to begin with, the Kazulians are most interested in the construction of factories rather than mines and oil rigs. My advice was to keep the decay of our most essential industries in mind during any economic talks.

JT: Thank you, Minister Siddall. Now, Minister Feinstein, as we all know, you will be attending the Eight Economies summit in Eroncourt next year as a specially invited guest. What exactly will be your goal at this summit.

DF: Well, again I have to begin my answer with 'in general', but in general I will be working to strike up some talks for mutually-beneficial trade deals with Terra's economic powers. In addition to this, I hope to speak more with the Kazulian leaders about our potential trade deal. Both Prime Minister Hedegaard and Finance Minister Michaelsen will be attending the summit and I hope to have some one-on-one discussions with both of them before the end of the meeting.

JT: Thank you. I have one final question. Minister Siddall, could you briefly explain the NCP's future plans for the economy?

DS: I sure can. As a stated earlier, our first goal should be to revive the oil and ferromineral industries. These industries used to be the most profitable in Kalistan and made our nation one of Terra's powers. Now, these industries are in shambles and need to be rebuilt and modernized. In addition to this, Minister Feinstein and I have been hard at work to draft a new ODEN-Kalistan charter. Kalistan has the largest recreational drug industry in Terra and our recent withdrawal from ODEN has taken a significant toll on that industry. We definitely need a new ODEN. Our last major goal should be to increase trade with foreign powers who have the potential to improve our economy and prosperity. Minister Feinstein will be taking the first step in this goal next year while he's in Eroncourt. After we meet these three goals, that is when we should begin to encourage the growth of smaller industries in Kalistan.

JT: Thank you for you time, Ministers. This was very helpful in clarifying the NCP's and the government's plans for our future.

Kalistan Responds to Deltarian Aggression

CAK Troopers of the First Division Mobilize For the Defense of Ananto

In response to the most recent acts of Deltarian aggression, the illegal invasion of Jakania and the mistreatment of the Jakanian populace by the Deltarian Armed Forces, the Kalistani government has decided to take action against the rogue regime by issuing an official denunciation of their actions and putting to vote a bill which would implement political and economic sanctions against Deltaria.

More specifically, the bill titled Imposition of Sanctions Upon Deltaria would halt all trade between the two nations and most travel, the exception being Kalistani citizens attempting to return to their homeland from Deltaria before the end of the year. In addition to this, all Kalistani diplomatic personnel stationed in Deltaria and Jakania will be immediately recalled, all Kalistani citizens in Deltaria and Jakania will be officially advised to return to Kalistan, and all travel between Kalistan and mainland Majatra will be officially advised against, though no bans on traveling to nations such as Kalopia and Zardugal have yet been issued.

The final proposals in the bill will take a much wider and more noticeable effect than the previously mentioned, as article 3 would see the full mobilization of the Kalistani Regular Army and article 4 would see the Ananto Straights being closed once again to all non-approved vessels. These last measures are due to reports of the Deltarian navy heading north towards the Ananto Sea and the admission of such actions by the Deltarian government in their national newspaper.

Despite the Kalistani government swearing not to intervene in the conflict, the Conservative Army of Kalistan has pledged its support towards the international coalition through a force of 5000 combat-ready troopers and 1500 medical personnel. The force, which is comprised of CAK Divisions 1-5 and Medical Battalions 3-5. Though the CAK has pledged to support the liberation of Jakania, they have confirmed that they will not take part in or condone the invasion of Deltaria which would be largely meant for the purpose of changing the regime of the nation.

In addition to pledging their support in the liberation of Jakania, the units of the CAK that will not partake in the operation have already begun to mobilize in order to prepare defensive positions so that they may support the Regular Army in the case of any possible military action fro Deltaria or their allies.

Affairs office to plan an official state visit to Lourenne. Royal Minister Antoine Sante of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
personally invited a delegation of 7 from Kalistan to join Prime Minister Francine Delafour, The Royal Cabinet members,
and Her Majesty, Catherine II. According to members of the Kalistani government, Kalistan sent a list of 7 members to
the Lourennais government to know who to expect. This morning, at Eroncourt-LaVerne International Airport (ELV)
Premier Alexander Peer-Ananto, Minister of Science and Technology Leonidas Bennots, Minister of Trade and Industry
Danilo Siddall, Ambassador to Lourenne Pierre Fontaine, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense Elton Bristow,
Spokesperson  for the Ministry of Finance Lola Jefferey, and Representative of the Opposition Casimir Ilbert arrived
and were greeted by the Royal Cabinet and were taken on a city wide tour of Eroncourt. The delegation of seven
passed by the Place de Dessaigne and by Place de la Concorde in the downtown area. The delegation then arrived
at the Royal Government Complex in the old town district where they spoke with the Royal Cabinet on financial and
investment issues. The Lourennais Royal Ministry of Finance and Trade agreed to create a new free trade treaty
between the two nations. A special meeting was held with the Royal Ministry of Defense to craft a new military treaty
to focus on cooperation in terms of both nations' militaries. Being so close to each other, the Ministry of Defense
concluded that both nations should closely cooperate to ensure the protection of trade and the continuation of peace
in the Anantonese.

The delegation, after spending most of the day with the Royal Cabinet, were directed to their overnight stay at the Royal
Estate  in the Royal District town of Lac des Lumieres in the outskirts of Eroncourt. The delegation stayed at the Estates
National Hotel and Conference Center which is Lac des Lumieres' third 5-star hotel. The next day, to finalize their state
visit, the Kalistani delegation were taken to the Palace of Lights to meet with the Monarch of Lourenne and the recognized
monarch of the Canrillaise nations, Catherine II. The Kalistani delegation, led by their Prime Minister held talks with the
Queen as a sign of friendship and cooperation. The Queen held a large state dinner for the Kalistanis which was partly
televised on national television. The heir to the Lourennais throne Louis IV also met with the delegation and held talks
with some of the members. At the end of the day, the Kalistani delegation stayed at the Estates National Hotel before
departing to Kaliburg from Eroncourt-LaVerne International Airport (ELV). Political Analysts have concluded that the
Royal Assembly is set to create to new treaties to renew economic and military relations for the next decades to come.

Military Transport Ship Loading Up in Port Eshar

After months of preparation, volunteers from the Conservative Army of Kalistan have finally departed from the Port Eshar Naval Base in transport ships leased by the Regular Forces in order to to join the International Coalition forces assembling in a Vanukean naval base on the island of Stormkaap. The convoy of transport ships will travel north around Lodamun in order to avoid any possible Deltarian ships in the Anantonese Ocean. The convoy will also be accompanied by the entire Conservative Navy of Kalistan as far as Lodamun for extra defense.

The Kalistani force is comprised of five combat divisions and three medical battalions (Totaling 5000 combat personnel and 1500 medical personnel). The force volunteered to take part in the international mission in Jakania in order to liberate the Jakanian people from oppressive Deltarian overlordship and end the atrocities currently taking place in occupied Deltaria.

The primary task of the Kalistani forces will be to militarily assist with the liberation of Jakania and provide medical assistance to Coalition forces as well as any injured civilians. However, the CAK has made it known that it doesn't plan on participating in the invasion of Deltaria and its taskforce will instead offer its assistance in the reconstruction of Jakania following its liberation.

HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS PROTEST AGAINST UKWF RULE

KALIBURG: Hundreds of thousands of protesters have taken to the streets in the Kaliburg-Port Davon metropolitan area to protest against the rule of Paul Steele and the United Kalistani Workers Front. For months, speculation of a mass movement against the government has abounded, putting the nation on the brink. The spark seems to have been a police raid on the newly-incorporated political party Movement for Democracy, which is the first opposition to UKWF rule in decades. This grew into massive protests, with at least 300,000 people turning out to the Kaliburg-Port Davon protests alone. Very little protest has been seen on the mainland, but organizers say that protests are sure to begin soon. Movement for Democracy, the small political movement that caused the protests, has seen an explosive growth in support. Near bankrupt with just weeks to live before the protests began, a groundswell of grassroots support have put over 30 million dollars in the party's coffers, with hundreds of thousands helping to propel the party into the number one trending spot on most social media outlets. Party spokespeople stated that the party would up its outreach over the coming months to prepare for new elections. As for the UKWF, there has been almost no response. The police have remained docile during the protest, fearing further growth in near-daily crowds. The government itself has offered no response. It highlights a larger issue within the UKWF's government, which has struggled in recent years to take any action. No meaingful legislation has passed the National Assembly in 8 years despite unanimous control of government for the Worker's Front. Little has been heard from prominent leaders, even in election seasons. It appears that the UKWF has gone missing. Despite this, interest for politics remains in the Republic. These protests show that quite obviously. It's just a question of whether or not it is enough to overcome the UKWF.

UKWF WINS REELECTION AMIDST VOTER FRAUD CLAIMS

KALIBURG: After months of political prognostication and a wave of activism unlike any seen in recent Kalistani history, the UKWF has won reelection with 100% of seats in the National Assembly going to their control once again. The startling result comes after months of protests against the government, with many speculating that this would aid the young political party Movement for Democracy. Despite this, the UKWF was somehow able to pull off their victory, with many pointing to voter fraud as the reason. Many reports have trickled in from across the country showing that people wearing MfD apparel or otherwise showing support were turned away from the polls. Others have said that voting machines prevented them from voting for the Movement, and hundreds of thousands in Ananto alone have claimed to have successfully submitted their vote, despite the low vote total for the MfD in that region. In a statement, party leadership said "This election was definitely rigged by the UKWF to keep themselves in power. We see no other option than to resume protests and begin exploring opportunities for legal action. Other than that, we look forwards to this period as a time to build our party strength and establish ourselves as the voice of the people. We will not back down over the coming months and years; rather we will stand up taller than before in defense of democracy and freedom for all citizens of Kalistan." Internal party sources say that the party is expected to begin a primary process to elect a leader. Up until now the party has been run by political operatives behind the scenes without a figurehead. That is expected to chance as the Movement amps up its political wing. The UKWF remained silent once again, with no public statement from party leaders and no victory speech by UKWF officials. They have taken their seats in the Assembly without fanfare, likely to remain the lame duck body that they have been for the past eight years.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM MFD

Interim party leader Carl Bradley announces the MFD's manifesto and other future plans.
KALIBURG: Today was a big day for the Movement for Democracy as several big announcements were made at a party conference. The first was that esteemed political science professor Dr. Carl Bradley would be serving as interim party leader until the election of a formal leader. Dr. Bradley is 88 has taught political science at Credone University for 53 years. According to sources within the Movement, Dr. Bradley was chosen due to his role as a mentor to several of the founders. Bradley has been active in the democratic movement overall since the rise of UKWF and has been known to make statements against the UKWF. In a speech made after his introduction, Bradley said that "As you all can tell, I am quite old. Because of this I don't expect to serve in this position for long, meaning that we are going to need to elect a full-time leader. In 4676 we will hold a leadership election to decide who the leader of the party shall be and I will not be a candidate in that election. In the meantime, I will focus my efforts towards building a strong organization for our eventual leader so they can begin a campaign for the 4678 elections on a strong footing." When asked about the ongoing protests in the streets against the UKWF, Bradley said "The protests will continue but we will be reorganizing and expanding them in the coming months. This movement will need broad-based support to beat the UKWF." The party's first manifesto was also revealed. It focuses around scaling down government, liberalizing the economy, and secularization. Bradley, who is considered to be a moderate, said that the movement's ideological direction would be further decided by the choice of a leader in the 4676 primary. Once again there was no comment from the UKWF on these announcements, with many beginning to wonder: where is Paul Steele and UKWF?
