Zhtál Srljinrídámojad signs exclusive deal with Kundrati government
The recent renovation and replacement of a large underpass near Vrkzel was done by Zhtál Srljinrídámojad OF.
15 May 5682, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
A cooperation between the public and private sector has seen a new deal come to life that will boost business and help rebuild war-torn Kundrati. The nation of Kundrati is still after many years struggling to fully rebuild its infrastructure in the wake of the bloody war that once destroyed it. Recent diplomatic talks where kickstarted by Wiel to establish a relation with the post-dictatorial regime in Kundrati, an endeavour that was welcomed by the nation but seemed hampered by the state of their infrastructure. Bridges, roads, and harbours are still not restored to their optimal condition, which would greatly hamper trade between the two states. When the delegation from Kundrati requested assistance with their infrastructure the delegation from the Kingdom called home and involved the private sector. A quick tender was held, after which the largest infrastructure company of Wrnuke, Zhtál Srljinrídámojad OF (Zhtál Infrastructure Ltd.) came out as the winner.
The three parties, Wrnuke, Kundrati and representatives from ZS, forged a deal where the Kingdom of Wrnuke will pay for the first few projects, making Zhtál Srljinrídámojad hire local labourers in Kundrati and assuring an exclusive partnership on infrastructure in Kundrati. After the rebuilding phase Kundrati has pledged to keep their contracts with the Jelbic company to further renovate and modernise roads and bridges. In the end the two nations are hoping to set up an extensive trade agreement after the initial rebuilding phase. Wrnuke is keen to export its natural resources, microchips, beer, cars, and military hardware across the globe and is hoping for Kundrati to become a prime customer of quality Jelbic products.

Cabinet wins big, Grand Coalition to enter second term
The certified election results of 5683 as of 7:00 AM.
3 March 5683 (backdated), Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
Five years after the first free elections the people have once again voted. While one of the three coalition parties has lost seats, the other two have won. In the case of Intrsmor Shlajkaisrmko Trmékez it was a big victory, his Tanhriék Prostrnatnyrmojad (Tanhri's Will) movement went from 14 to 27 seats. Minister Z'nstro and his conservative-liberal bloc of Lofrkadé Péashro (Liberal Vanguard) went from 49 to 43 seats. Prefect Anzlék-Zahr's Wrntu Jelb’koékai (Jelbics Forward) extended their parliamentary lead by gaining a further 6 seats, pushing them to 70. The biggest losses were felt by the Worldburnerist Aked Prta (Red Party) which has been criticised for its isolationist stance. The biggest surprise of all was the 10 seat victory of the newcomer party Konzék Buntjogad (King’s Alliance). The party was founded as an alternative for the liberal bloc by proud monarchist Ibram Bruhsrmko Harif, though it largely supports foreign policies set in motion by the Jez Shrmoishto (Grand Coalition). Harif has quickly gained popularity through social media, being a Yeudo-Jelbic businessman from the tech sector. The young entrepreneur named his new party after King Temrkai VII, claiming His Majesty and the Kingdom are the only ones globally to truly care about Yeudi independence. The message has resonated well with voters.
Even though economic growth has been slowed by the policies of the Anzlék-Zahr cabinet the population still seems to support the measures. The full military and economic alliance with Egelion, the trade arrangements with Kundrati, the normalisation of contact with Zardugal, and the greater economic plan by Minister Trmékez have caused a net growth for the average Jelbic citizen. Unemployment has been in a sky fall in the last two years and inflation has so far been at a below average rate. While a few ministers will resign with the second Anzlék-Zahr cabinet it is expected the layout will remain mostly the same. Prefect Anzlék-Zahr was extremely happy with the election results and the last five years: "As a party we were of course hoping to win, to see that the people approve of what we do, but I never expected to gain six more seats for our movement. I'm truly sorry for Dwít [editorial: Minister Z'nstro, LP] as he has lost a few seats, though I must congratulate my other colleague [editorial: Minister Trmékez, TP] for his magnificent victory. He is truly the biggest winner of this election, and I hope we can work together for a few more years. I think we have all shown that this Grand Coalition of liberalism and proper Jelbic spirit is what Wrnuke needs at this time. A foundation to grow on even more."
Jelbics Forward (WJ)* – 64 -> 70 ( +6)
Liberal Vanguard (LP) – 49 -> 43 ( -6)
Red Party (AP) – 40 -> 32 ( -8)
Tanhri's Will (TP) – 14 -> 27 ( +13)
Ahmadi Union (AK) – 21 -> 15 ( -6)
Most Important Brother Party (JP) – 18 -> 14 ( -4)
King's Alliance (KB) – 0 -> 10 ( +10)
Scourge (Z) – 12 -> 8 ( -3)
Loyalists to the Great Lion (JSV) – 7 -> 6 ( -1)

Dozens killed by PMC forces in Sholemberg
A civilian being arrested for "rebel activities" by mercenaries in the formerly free city of Sholemberg.
10 July 5684 (backdated), Sholemberg, occupied Beiteynu
A massacre today in the Yeudi city of Sholemberg, once the industrial trade capital of the Hischar Nisrad it now many ruins, thick black smoke and lots of blood. Last year the city was declared free by local militias, with Commander Ben-Ronen stating the liberation of the city would mark the first step into establishing the "Free Yeudi State", a proposed sovereign nation uniting all lands of former Beiteynu. The taking of the city was met with wild allegations from the Triad, alleging that the Kingdom of Wrnuke was behind the operation. Wiel has denied this at every step, with Prefect Anzlék-Zahr dismissing the allegations as a "desperate measure of a dying regime to cling to power and relevance". Nonetheless, after an initial missile strike at civilian targets under the guise of attacking militia camps, the President of the Triad announced that 'gold level' mercenaries would bring peace and order back to Sholemberg. This attack was pre-empted by a second missile strike that set Sholemberg's oil depots aflame, with some expecting foul play. When the mercenaries entered the city however, there were no rebels or militias to be found, a local mercenary jokingly remarked to a reporter that they must have been "tipped off".
Instead of a large rebel force the mercenaries found a crowd of civilians covered in black oil, smoke, dust, and sweat trying to put out the fires in the petroleum refinement complex. Further large crowds were found putting out fires near City Hall and the Old District, as well as the Sacred Spirit Hospital which had been hit by a stray missile. The first group however was identified as a force of rebels, as the black smoke and oil made their civilian clothing look like militia uniforms. The hoses were, according to PR representatives of the private military company, "suspiciously gun-shaped". The group of mercenaries surrounded the crowd of civilians, which also included firefighters and EMT's, and opened fire. Eye witnesses reported a merciless slaughter, where downed individuals were 'double-tapped' by eager blood-thirsty mercenaries to assure their passing. Once mercenary officers identified the crowd as civilian, about an hour after the initial shooting, reporters were arrested and escorted away. Some managed to escape and hid, from these hidden positions they observed how the group of mercenaries frantically gathered the fallen and shoved them close to a nearby oil spill fire, before covering them in canisters of gasoline. After this a large wave of arrests was made throughout the city by the mercenary force, with increasingly paranoid PMC commanders being convinced the rebels were hiding amongst the masses.
Eye witnesses have reported at least eighty people that were executed in cold blood by Triad mercenaries, with some insisting it was dozens more. The Triad embassy denied to give a statement on the matter.

'Terrors' cause concern, Grand Canal registers record numbers
Minister Trmékez about to enter parliament for an emergency session on the economic consequences of the Terrors.
10 February 5685, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
The current instability in occupied Amudim are the cause of great concern in Wiel, the cabinet has convened in several emergency sessions to discuss steps the last few months and with the oil fires disrupting trade from, to, and through Sholemberg the Ministries for Finance and Economy have entered close cooperation. The escalation in Northern Majatra has also brought an awkward windfall for the Jelbic Kingdom, as shipping companies increasingly avoid the Migrant's Pass and seek alternative routes many opt to pay the passing fee for Wrnuke's Grand Canal. These numbers have grown to such an extend that the office of the Grand Canal has registered record numbers the last six months. Recently security has been gradually increased around the Grand Canal with the cabinet stating that there is "reasonable doubt that foreign parties wish to expand the instability in Majatra by targeting vital infrastructure". No further evidence was brought forward to reinforce the claim. The increase of customers for the Grand Canal has positively surprised the cabinet, who were expecting far worse after the deteriorating situation in occupied Amudim. Nonetheless, the Foreign Ministry has condemned the current situation in former Beiteynu and has called upon "all colonisers" to vacate the region and let "the Yeudi People regain their independence". The government remains firm on the position that all unrest and bloodshed
On top of that Minister Trmékez, who by now has become known as the architect of Wrnuke's reviving economy, announced a further investment of over 100 million in economic subsidies. The package was made possible by a special deal with several banks and will see private businesses being able to start up far easier than before. According to the ministry the economics working together with Trmékez are looking at other options too: "It is vital for local businesses and our standard of living to maintain a flexible and strong economy at all turns, we will be utilising further funds to grow our economy in other ways." Wiel wishes to avoid a system where they become too dependant on the Grand Canal, a future package will most likely look at diversifying the portfolio of the government. Furthermore, diplomats have sought contact with the authorities in Tel Bira for deeper talks with Prefect Anzlék-Zahr inviting her colleagues over for a special session in Wiel. Whether the independent banking city will accept this invitation is yet to be seen, as they strongly wish to maintain their neutral position.

Government denies further allegations of involvement in 'Terrors'
Remnants of one of the sites where retreating 3PF forces have been battling rebels.
1 September 5685, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
The Terrors continue to wreak havoc across Amudim, as civil unrest is at its highest since the ruthless massacre in Sholemberg last year. The fighting is bloodiest however in the Hischar Nisrad where freedom fighters are actively engaging 3PF mercenaries. The troops hired by the Triad Republic are still occupying parts of the Nisrad that the new regime in Sholemberg has claimed as their territory. The retreat was set in last month, though local embedded reporters claim that some mercenary commanders are deliberately slowing their retreat. They make sure to check villages and outposts for supplies and loot, claiming to war reporters that they are underpaid and undersupplied. Local rebel commanders have dismissed this idea: "They are plundering like brigands, these so-called mercenaries. They are taking everything that isn't nailed down," said Commander of Sholemberg West Aryeih Leib.
One of the several clashes that occurred has Bannerhafen accuse Wiel of further involvement. An ambush of a convoy of freedom fighters by Triad mercenaries apparently yielded several bodies with 'identifiable Jelbic features and equipment'. The government's official statement has called the Triad allegations "fake news", releasing declassified RSB reports which claim Triad covert forces planted Jelbic equipment on the dead bodies to further frame Wiel as an aggressor in this colonial conflict. Prefect Anzlék-Zahr called upon the Triad to retreat fully from Majatra: "We wish to avoid war, we do not wish to escalate as Bannerhafen is doing right now. I call upon my colleague in Bannerhafen to immediately declare an end to this conflict, cut the contracts with the mercenaries, bring your own troops home, and give the Yeudi people their freedom." Bannerhafen has rejected the statement from Wiel and has claimed the presented evidence is false. The Grand Council meanwhile has called an emergency session to question the cabinet, the Prefect and Minister Z'nstro are under increasing pressure with further escalations in the Terrors causing another international incident. So far the coalition seems to be stable, but experts warn a coalition collapse may happen at any moment.

Government calls emergency meeting, parliament on lockdown
Hours after the announcement of the emergency meeting, the rebels in Amudim halted all combat operations.
1 August 5688, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
The Grand Council has entered a state of lockdown amidst an emergency meeting enacted by the Prefect, the Duchess Anzlék-Zahr, she used her special privilege to call for an emergency meeting involving the highest levels of government. This privilege is only to be used during extreme circumstances that are a "great threat to the integrity, safety, and capabilities of the Kingdom of Wrnuke" according to the constitution. So far the government has refused to comment on the exact reason for the emergency meeting, though some sources state a critical piece of intelligence has been leaked to Wiel prompting the Prefect to use her executive powers. Whatever was leaked seems to carry great consequences for the Kingdom, as all foreign visits and meetings have been cancelled with diplomats being recalled. One unconfirmed source has even stated that His Majesty the King has embarked on a plane to Wiel to meet with the cabinet, only rarely does the constitutional monarch involve himself in politics, something His Majesty only does at the request of the cabinet.
Interestingly, the rebels in Amudim announced a full stop on their offensive one hour after Wrnuke declared the emergency meeting. The Kingdom denies any direct involvement in the civil war but it is widely accepted that Wiel assists rebel forces with intelligence packages and military instructors and advisors. The timing of the unofficial ceasefire has many speculating that the government advised, or perhaps even demanded, the rebels to halt immediately. Recently the Sholemberg Free State has made great strides towards liberating Amudim from foreign occupiers, with some rebel units posting videos online of them standing at the border of Xsampa's Canton 14. With such momentum military experts call the operational pause surprising, as many expected the rebels to further intensify their offensive to further encroach on the last uninvolved foreign holdout in Canton 14. For now however, the rebels are standing still and refusing to elaborate. Time will tell what discovery has led to both the Kingdom of Wrnuke and the Sholemberg Free State taking such drastic and unexpected actions.

Grand Coalition collapses, Anzlék-Zahr to head caretaker government
2 September 5688 (backdated), Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
The Grand Coalition that has been in control since its first formation in 5678 has collapsed. Shortly after the conclusion of the emergency session in late August rumours started to spread that the Lofrkadé Péashro (LP) was unhappy with the secret resolution agreed upon by the government. Allegedly even His Majesty the King had to be involved to call for unity and cooperation between the bickering parties. The velvet glove of the King was however to no avail and party leader Dwít Z'nstro announced today that his party would be leaving the Grand Coalition. This sparked a large debate, because only in March had he enthusiastically agreed to enter yet another Anzlék-Zahr cabinet after his electoral loss of ten more seats. The debate got very heated, and even during it one member of parliament of the LP announced his defection and declared his support for Trmékez's Tanhriék Prostrnatnyrmojad (TP). The defector, Ajub Srnkzi, cited the stellar leadership of Intrsmor Trmékez and the fact that TP did remain loyal to the cabinet.
After the session several more parliamentarians defected, even from Prefect Anzlék-Zahr's own party, showing that even in her own ranks there is a growing discontent with the current course. With the loss of the LP the Grand Coalition, now mockingly called the Small Coalition, has lost her majority in the Grand Council. Duchess Anzlék-Zahr has declared her intention to have fresh elections in the new year, until then she will remain at the head of the new caretaker government. Some opposition parties have called for the release of the classified meeting files to reveal the full involvement of Wrnuke in Amudim's liberation, though a majority of parties are still blocking it.
