Sam Van Aken new chairman of the RAP, says to go back to its roots.
September 5563

Magrathea  Chairman elections where set on September 5563 to elect a new one after Arne Declercq was underfire of betraying the roots of the core values of the RAP. Sam Van Aken challenged Arne Declercq in the hope to bring the RAP back to its core, the workers and not let them be profited on by the capitalists.

When the results came in we sam a clear victory for Sam van Aken, with 71.26% of the votes, he had majority. At the HQ of the RAP, he gave a victory speech.

Quote:I thank you for you're trust. Ikradons general elections are nearing and we have a lot of work to convince our people to vote for us. We understand that Dundorf is an important ally and we will still focus on that. We understand that Artania is failing in uniting, but that is not the fault of Ikradon. We have organised the conference and we saw who was willing to cooperate and who wouldn't, we will focus on those who do want to cooperate.

If we win, we will not allow hypocrisy to win, if we want to show the world that Artania can cooperate, on a proper level and shave a diplomatic unity, we will do this without hypocrisy. With the nations that we will unite, Ikradon and the RAP will ask for no foreign military bases in Artania, but also agree to not build on other ones soil. If it succeeds and others would want to join, Ikradon will ask the same of them, there is no place for hypocrisy and certainly not imperialism. RAP will be an advocate of this sentiment and will not bow for those who would want to misuse this!

Ikradon is organising a meeting with nations who are willing to cooperate together.
October 5565

Magrathea  The Ikradonian government, who is still in government after elections came out and not a new one has been able to be formed, the former one will remain, untill a new one is elected. Sam Van Aken, the new staats president of the federale republiek Ikradon has formally invited Dundorf, Kundrati, and Hobrazia over to have a meeting about more cooperation, even though the Artanian conference failed, there where some nations who did share a sentiment of cooperation. Sam Van Aken read the reports and was updated by the former staatspresident and former chairman of the RAP Arne Declercq.

Sam Van Aken, staatspresident of Ikradon has given a press conference to inform the public:

Quote:The Arntanian conference failed, to much derailing of subject and no consensus on how to handle things. In reports i read, i saw a shared sentiment by us, Dundorf, Hobrazia and Kundrati. If we could find common ground and could find a way to agree, it would set an example that Artania could work together and gives an example to other Artanian nations to join with their full support.

New Navy base and the Zeesterhaven is ready. Ikradon will also buy military equipment of Baltusia.
October 5566

Ikradun-Island The new navy base is being built on Ikradun-Island. The one in Sudwe will be abandoned, and the navy will move to its newest location. The naval base will be named Command Post van de Wakers Translation: Commandopost of the guardians. The naval base will be used more often as it is the main base for protecting the island, as the government has already bought new navy ships for doing so.

The old naval base will be emptied and the government will review how it can be used in future, as they will not allow it to be empty for long. Also the new port named the Zeester haven has been finished in construction and will be the main port for import and export.

Also in the news, we see that the Ikradonian government has bought equipments for their military from Baltusia. As they are trying to improve their military, it was a matter of time before they would come to the conclusion that Baltusia is one of the best military manufactors of Terra, as they are also improving their relations for years now, it was only waiting on the decision of the Ikradonian government. in total they will have to pay 43 Billion LFR to Baltusia and they agreed to pay it over 10 years.

Small Arms:

230.000 x G16M4 (rifle)
6.500 x S110 (marksman rifle)
10.000 x APATL Mk. 4 (rocket launcher)

Vehicles:

2.500 x T2M3 "Scorpion" (IFV)
4.750 x T1230 "Aegis" (MRAP)
750 x T1M2 "Patriot" (Tank)
1.500 x T1126 "Viking" (APC)
80x T142 "Cyclone" (HIMARS)

Air Force:

120 x L-2 "Nighthawk"

We dont know the time it will reach Ikradon, but it is a big investment for the military.
Also, a campaign will be set up to increase enlistments in the military and hopefully they will succeed.

Lucas De Boeck, author of regional workers collictivism is giving lectures accross Ikradon and gives an interview with our agency.
april 5567

Magrathea  Lucas De Boeck is touring Ikradon to promote his book and giving lectures to enlighten the people and workers of Ikradon of the Regional Workerscollictivism. His book is already popular among RAP militants and some professors of other universities. He is also getting a lot of attention in our media, on educational platforms and on the internet. Some experts say that it is similar to the Baltusian model, but the economy would be more centralised, just as the counsil.

Sam Van Aken, chairman of the RAP gave a response to our reporter:

Quote:I know some of the RAP militants are sylpathizing with this book, but i am not a big fan of it, it doesn't give the right purpose for workers or institutes. It is also dangerous for the reputation of Ikradon on the international community. I understand that it is similar to the Baltusian model, but we aren't Baltusia, Baltusia had already a strong economical base, wich we haven't yet. I am not a fan that is all.

Sophie Vermeiren, Chairwoman of the young Reds, has also responded to our reporter as she seems to be a fan.

Quote:I had lesson from him at the toekomstacademie and i was always impressed by his lectures and lessons. When he wrote the book, i immediately bought it and read it in one go. It is the future of communisme and of Ikradon, it should be the future of the RAP too. In my opinion anyway.

Lucas De boeck gave a little of his time to answer some questions to our reporter.

L(ucas De Boeck)
R(eporter)

R: Welcome Lucas, how long did you had to think about this idea?
L: Quite a long time, as you have to think about outcomes, economic policies, but also the possible reaction of the elite and powerhouses. I had to think about all workers and every community that lives in Ikradon and take it in account. To find a balance that would and could create a social cohesion, was the hardest part.

R: Would this ideology be as authoritian as some would believe?
L: No, you can archieve it by the general election, but it is a very hard thing to archieve, as you would need to have a full majority and when in power, eliminate the general elections as we know it today, but if we are honest, are the elections as we know it today, real democraty or just a play to soothe the people? There will be already created workercounsil, who now will decide who sits in the national counsil. In my believe, no we wont be authoritian, it would even be more democratic.

R: How does the RAP fits in this, as the current chairman already announced that he isn't a fan of you're work?

He can have his opinion, so do i. Doesn't he like it, so he would lose his solely power as today? The RAP has lost a lot of its own core lately, by compromising, they lost touch with the workers, if it wants to remain on communist spectre, they will need to do something at least. They are the closest for the moment to archieve the RWC, but for how long?

R: We thank you for you're time and wish good  luck with you're book.

Sam Van Aken under discussion as chairman of the RAP
august 5567

Magrathea Sam Van Aken, chairman of the RAP, is under discussion after the release of the book of regional workers collectivism of author Lucas De boeck, after some statements of Lucas De boeck in our newspaper and the answer of Sam Van Aken has militants questioning the position the RAP on the political sprectre. Militants all over Ikradon has been criticising the RAP for its lack to remain true to its valued core, "they are campaigning as communist, but acting like social democrats and that is still supporting the class of elites", was a response of on of the militants. Even some militants have retreated their membership of the RAP.

Meanwhile Sophie Vermeiren is gaining popularity inside the RAP, as a pro RWC, as she is hard on the current chairman and board of the RAP. As she stated last night to our reporter:

Quote:We are loosing members as our current chairman is refusing to listen to its own members, how will he be able to listen to the workers if he is in government, the time of Arielle Verlaaien and Brent Verschaeren are over, the RAP has changed its course when it rejoined the political game. They have surrendered to capitalism and elitism. We have to re-assure our belief of communism to ourselves and our voters. It is time to change.

Sam Van Aken however remains silent, but experts see this as a bad sign for his future as chairman of the RAP.

Ikradon recognize the rebelforces as independant states and diplomatically supports their fight against fascism. Ikradon will also buy 17% of the oilcompany of the Brakav free democratic republic.
September 5567

Magrathea The government of Ikradon with the RAP still leading the government, will recognize the rebelforces and states as independant and support diplomatically their fight against the tsardom. The government of Ikradon has also agreed that ikradon will buy 17% of the oil company of the Brakav Free Democratic Republic.

Sam Van Aken, set up a press conference to explain what is going on.

Quote:The Tsardom of trigunia is surpressing their people, for us they are fascists and we will support the rebels, diplomatically and we condemn the actions of the Tsardom. We will support the states who are fighting for their freedom.

We are also buying 17% of the oil company of the Brakav free democratic republic. At the RAP we decided to stop relying on imperial nations and forces, but it also means we need to find our own way to provide for our own nation, we also want to give others a chance to do the same and we will try to provide for others, who want an alternative, instead of supporting imperialism.

Protests errupts outside the HQ of the RAP. Sam Van Aken resigns as chairman.
April 5568

Magrathea  Hundreds of militants have gathered at the front door of the HQ of the RAP demanding Sam Van Aken to resign as chairman. They aren't happy with how things are going and the consequences of howling along with the enemy. Sophie Vermeiren is leading the protests.

After an hour the news came out that Sam Van Aken will resign as chairman and the board resigned shortly after. Normally a new chairman/woman is elected, but as Sophie Vermeiren is the only candidate, they felt it was not needed and Sophie was named chairwoman of the RAP.

Her first actions are renaming the party into the partij voor de regionale arbeiderscollictivisme (RAC), translate as the party for the regionale workerscollectivism (RWC) and adapt the new ideology of it.

Troublesome weeks for the renewed party of the RAC.

Ikradon, Dundorf, Kundrati and Hobrazia agree to cooperation.
August 5568

Magrathea The artanian meeting is finally finished and the 4 delegations agreed to cooperate on certain mathers, the ikradonian government is proud of the meeting and the other delegations to find common ground.

The have agreed on a counsil, that function as a platform to find diplomatic unity when the istuation calls for it, a platform for help, when projects need to be realised or aided by. There will be no centrale leader on it, the nation who wants to talk, reaches out and invite the delegations over.

They also agreed to let no non artanians build military or naval bases on their soil, but also to lead as an example to not build on non-Artanians soil either.

Sam Van Aken, Staatspresident gives a press conference to inform the public about how he feels about it.

Quote:We thank the delegations of Dundorf, Kundati and Hobrazia for their efforts and willingness to cooperate. We hope that this will lead to a bigger cooperations and unification of whole Artania, that we gave the example for them, that it is possible. Nothing is more important then this for Artania!

January 5568 (backdated)

Magrathea It is confirmed that ikradon has visited Zardugal, a fellow socialist nation, to improve relations and talk about trade possebilities.

Ikradon who is already busy with improving relations all over Terra and hoping to archieve good relations with all. Zardugal who has been really active on the international political map, was the next in line for the ikradonian government.

Radicale Arbeiderspartij quits, SAP endorses GROEN for Staatspresident

Magrathea Yes, a lot has happened over just little time in Ikradon. First of all, the Radicale Arbeiderspartij, who was recently renamed to the Regionale Arbeiderscollectivism, has announced their party will not be competing in the upcoming March elections. This leaves three parties in Ikradon: NDP, GROEN and SAP.

NDP, Nationale Democratische Partij, as the only right-leaning party, has gained the biggest amount of seats during last elections. However, the left stands strong in Ikradon when you see GROEN and SAP seats combined. Yet, with RAP in the government too, they did not have enough seats to form a coalition together. No new government was formed in Ikradon during this term, will there be change in the elections now? We are definitely getting a new Staatspresident, as RAP leaves. The Socialistische Arbeiderspartij (SAP) has announced that they will endorse Lina Verhoeven, as face of GROEN, for Staatspresident. This will cause them to most likely have a bigger chance against Leonie Hofkamp of the NDP.

Prime Minister Lana Van Der Eyden reacts to SAP:
Quote:I am thrilled to be able to work together with the socialists. We've acted separately for way too long. Our main goal will of course remain to prevent NDP from deciding things in Ikradon. We have noticed their proposals are getting more and more extremist over the years. Miss Verhoeven has not yet heard the news about the endorsement by SAP, but I am sure she will also be amazed and happy. Looking at seats, we will most likely be able to form a coalition against NDP this time, depending on where the voters from RAP will go to. I myself, will not be the prime minister anymore as I have served an amazing 9 years already. I am thankful to everyone who has supported my actions over the years. You might see me as a minister, but I might also not be in the government anymore. Who will be the new prime minister? Well if the coalition can go ahead, that would be Bart Eenders from SAP or perhaps Simon Bleeker from our party.

To make a long story short, upcoming March there will be elections in which we can likely see a new coalition between GROEN and SAP, with Lina Verhoeven as new Staatspresident.
