The Nadiyan Red Cross Society has announced the start of school and teaching supplies to New Verham in order to prepare for the upcoming 5699-5700 school year with the aims of ensuring safe, good, free, and accessible education to the children of New Verham.

This announcement comes after the humanitarian organization managed to successfully carry out aid operations across New Verham with the different factions of the war warmly accepting of their help and even protecting them during the movements. The Red Cross has begun to be seen kindly by the local populations because of the free medicines and treatments they provide to both soldiers and civilians, but also because their tents and operation sites became shelters and safe havens for the civilians to escape the horror of war and try to cling to the life they once had.

As such, the Nadiyan Red Cross has begun recruiting local teachers and educational staff alongside deploying Nadiyan teachers that recently came in waves to volunteer and teach New Verhamese children. The Society even gathered a bunch of school books and sent them back to Nadiya for mass printing as they intend to cover every school grade from daycares to the last year of highschool with the help of both personal donations and the funds given to them by the Nadiyan government to help them in their mission. 

"I don't know what to say other than thank you the Nadiyan Red Cross," says Ron Zwier, a local volunteer. "When the war started, my life flipped upside down and I lost all hopes for a better life, but seeing people come here from thousands of kilometers away just to offer us shelter, food, warmth, comfort, and even entertainment... It felt like life wasn't such a loveless bitch, but instead a loving mother with her little angels coming to help." 

Furthermore, the NRCS has announced their plan to hold a massive feast to celebrate the passage into the new century. The organization emphasized that everyone is welcome to the event but that they must remain civil and peaceful for the duration of the since there will be many civilians there to celebrate such a historic event.

It has been less than 2 months since the Nadiyan Red Cross announced their deployment, but they're already doing more work for the population than any other organization in Terra as reports of an offensive against Chukyo while 6 million persons are still stuck in the city.

The number of NRCS workers in New Verham has already reached the record number of 12 thousand volunteers and local hires with more being expected to join the cause as the number of displaced personal grows and need for more efficient administration follows. This massive number shows both Nadiya's and the Nadiyan Red Cross's commitment to helping as many civilians as possible in these hard times.

Furthermore, the Red Cross announced the establishment of 5 escape routes for civilians where NRCS operatives will escort them toward one of the two refugee camps set up by Society, namely Hope-1 and Esperence-3, the civilians are urged to carry IDs be it biometric IDs, passports, driving licenses, or any documents proving their identity so the staff at the refugee camps can more easily register and help the civilians especially this also applied children for their registration in NRCS schools and the qualification for the grants given by the Nadiyan government to help New Verhamese families.

Finally, the Nadiyan Red Cross's department for Civilian Protection released a statement fervently condemning the mistreatment of civilians by the different factions and closing of the border with Bianjie as a "cowardly act of unthinkable inhumanity",

"The Nadiyan Red Cross Society fervently believes in the ideals of humanism and the World Congress Chart of Refugees," the communique says, "The closing of the border is a cowardly act in an attempt to force people to stay in a hostile war-torn environment that doesn't suit them or their families. This mistreatment of innocent lives must end, keep the war between soldiers and not put civilians in between just to satisfy your bloodthirsty needs."

The school year in New Verham has officially started in the refugee camps administered by the Nadiyan Red Cross Society, especially in the camps Esperence-2 and Salvation-1 that reported a record breaking 20 thousand pupils in their educational facilities with classes of up to 50 students. 

The Nadiyan government has already announced that it will cooperate with the NRCS in giving out scholarships and full-ride tuitions to New Verhamese highschool graduates so they can study in Nadiya freely without worrying of expenditures since higher education in Nadiya is already free for everyone, even foreigners, but the scholarships are more there to help them in their everyday life spending and act as a safe reserve of cash for their future projects.

In addition to that, the biggest Nadiyan company for school supplies announced that they will double the amount of goods given to them during their weekly supply donations to the Red Cross, while this was happening, the humanitarian society unveiled another education center in the Hope-4 refugee camp to help handle the overflow of high school students that we're redirected there due to overcrowding in the other educational facilities. 

Furthermore, the NRCS rolled out a brand-new policy that grants free therapy sessions to refugees alongside the creation of support groups for amputees, widows, orphans, broken faces, and so forth in hopes of encouraging everyone to heal together and foster a healthy and welcoming environment in everyone, on top of that, Nadiya's biggest therapy workers union, the Union for Mental Appeasement of the Nadiyan Mind, has announced that 1470 of its members will be going to New Verham to help with the free-therapy program of the NRCS

While fights were still raging between the differente factions of the war in New Verham, the Nadiyan Red Cross held a 5 days long festival at their biggest camp, camp Esperence-1, to celebrate the end of the 57th century.

The festival included a new years market where locals could sell their handmade products and supports themselves without relying on the NRC's financial support on a weekly basis, most notably the festival organized a small art studio for kids to write what they wanted as gifts and the Red Cross will send those letters to the Nadiyan government in order to help fulfill those wishes as quickly as possible.

Furthermore, the organizers of the event reported 1,2 million people attending the event through the 5 days period with most focusing on the New Years market while children were emersed in writing wishing letters for the Nadiyan government and thanking the NRCS for their dedication.

Finally, the festival closed with the organization of a massive feast at the camp, more than 73 tonnes of food were sent by the Nadiyan government alongside the Nadiyan Red Cross mobilizing 352 trucks to haul the food and 5 thousand volunteers came to help set up the tables. The feast went on without a hitch as the clock hit midnight and everyone cheered the start of the new century, the leftover food was packaged and distributed to both the attendees and people that missed out on the feast.

Exactly one year after the Nadiyan Commission for Statistics, Forecasts, Censuses announced the organization of the Century Census, the government has finally released the results of the 8 months long work on the fields and another 4 months to analyze, compile, and purify the dates gathered, and the stats are very good for Nadiya.

The census was divided into three major categories those being:

I) Population growth and change in fertility 



I-a) Population 
The first instances of the All-Nadiyan Population Census go back to 5590 when the Free Democratic Republic of Brakav encouraged the members of the Nadiyan Economic Community to organize joint censuses of the population to reflect the growing unity within the block, the measure also involved the Trigunian Tsardom which caused a lot of debates at the time. According to the 5590 census, the reported population in the Trigunian archipelago was 92,4 million, a stark contrast to the pre-1TW population of 99,8 million reported in Trigunia indicating that even after 30 years since the end of the 1TW the population number didn't recover due to the heavy damages.

However, the population in the isles began to steadily grow going from 92,4 million to a remarkable 105,2 million before the start of the 2TW that caused the loss of 5 million lives across both sides before quickly picking pace again as the newly founded republics began the reconstruction process and launched the Unification Protocol of the NEC with the population reaching the milestone of 116 million citizens by the dawn of the Nadiyan Confederation. 

The number of people kept its current steady but controlled pace until the Kerisian war exploded with NEKK, Nadiya lost 3,6 million lives on the front going from 121 million citizens to 118 million in 5683 mainly due to the Nadiyan Army's policy of "quantity over qualify" that caused unprepared recruits and newly drafted civilians to go to the front they knew nothing about. Yet the population recovery was pretty quick as the 5690 census recorded 120 million citizens followed closely by the the 5700 census.

I-b) Fertility (Number of children per women)

At the start of 5590, the average number of children a woman would have in a lifetime across both the NEC and Trigunian Tsardom was a pretty high 2,8 children which is way above the recommended renewable threshold of 2,1 this is mainly due to both sides of the Trigunian Disaster still recovering from the 1TW with many citizens being assured work as every faction was trying to go back to normal as soon as possible. This return to normal culminated at the start of the 57th century as it started dipping slowly until reaching the renewable threshold of 2,1 before the start of the 2TW.

The deployment of millions to the war front alongside the mass destruction caused by the deployment of biological weapons alongside bombing campaigns on industrial and urban centers caused birth rates to collapse before the start of a baby-boom during reconstruction. The loosening of immigration policies, carrying of the Unification Protocol, reconstruction campaigns that consisted in the reindustrialization of the new free republics coupled with the NEC implement pro childcare policies caused the birth rates to jump from a blew renewable rate of 1,6 to a 4,8 in what many call the "Nadiyan Rebirth".

Following the boom, the birth rates continued declining slowly even as Nadiya unified in 5640 and they continued dropping steadily thanks to the central government's continued commitment to childcare policies even when they implemented austerity under Konstantinova's government which prevented a demographic crash right out of the boom. In 5680, birthrates reached 3,2, but to the surprise of everyone, the number of children rose during the Kerisian War. This comes down to two factors, the war not being on such a major scale as the 1TW, and the damages mainly being located in NEKK rather than Nadiya proper.

Finally, the birthrates declined sharply from 4,2 back to 3,5 before slowing down the decline due to the central government's new social and economic ventures notably the ones in the Kerisian empire.

II) Societal developments



II-a) Median age & life expectancy

Historically, Nadiya's life expectancy was low given the deaths caused by the 1TW and the rather high percentage of the population being composed of 1-18 age bracket as a result of the both the republics and the Tsardom recovering from the war. The median age kept on rising as the younger generations grew out of their youth and dragged with them life expectancy until it 66 in 5620.

The median age then promptly collapsed due to the 2TW and the losses that came from it, but it picked back before slowing down slightly when the Konstantinova government was inaugurated and they implemented sweeping austerity measures that mostly targeted pensions and retirement funds. Yet Nadiyans were expected to live up to 75 years in 5680, the Kerisian war brought down life expectancy by 10 years before it picked up again as Nadiya recovered from the war.

II-b) Human Development & Quality of Life

Historically speaking, during the Trigunian Disaster, was comparable to one of a medium-income developing country mainly due to the consequences of the 1TW but also the lack of recognition given to the breakaway republics after the GWR by the international community. The positive growth came to a halt with the eruption of the 2TW that caused a sharp decline across the isles especially in Radin and Kozacchyna, two regions that were the most active parts of the NEC's offensive.

Following the war and the implementation of the reconstruction programs, the quality of began to grow steadily as the NEC carried out the Unification Protocol. The Unification of Nadiya caused the HDI to skyrocket as the new central government launched uniformization policies in the sectors of healthcare, environment, security, and transportation by addressing the issue of medical deserts in republics that used to have a private healthcare system, unifying the models of the police forces and transportation network to ensure both a safe communities with a steady work flow, and the creation of Haivan alongside the implementation of environmental laws helped reverse much of the issues that held back societal growth in Nadiya.

However, the HDI took a dive when Chief Executive Konstantinova implemented sweeping austerity on Nadiya and raised taxes as ordered by the newly appointed governor of the Nadiyan Central Bank Evelina Maximovna. Growth stalled until the NCB declared Nadiya debt free and allowed for the government to once again have a deficit budget, this coincided with the launch of Operation Polaris, a massive housing plan that guaranteed social and affordable housing to everyone since the Confederal Government built around 120 million square meters annually to meet the 30 sq m recommended for comfortable living in a 1 person household.

The housing policies combined with the economic liberalization of Nadiya allowed for a massive surge in the quality of life for the average Nadiyan until 5680 when the KW broke out. The rationing of food, conscription of the population, and emergency tax hikes alongside seizure of factories to turn them into military complexes severely impacted the HDI.

Yet even as Evelina Maximovna hijacked the budget in 84 and installed hardline austerity again to lower the debt, the ensuing economic prosperity brought on by the proclamation of the Kerisian empire allowed Nadiya to jump back quickly begin becoming a truly developed country.

III) Economic developments & debt management



The Trigunian archipelago has a history of deficit spending even in times of economic tightness, this can be seen in the average budget difference across both the NEC and ATIP swaying around the [-6,0] bracket before bottoming at a 14% deficit during the 2TW with debt skyrocketing from 52% to 74%.

In post war environment, even tho there were initiatives to decrease the budget deficits, the costs of the reconstruction policies and the  subsequent Unification Protocol caused debt to balloon we t an alarming rate with it going from 74% to 95% in the span of 7 years then 95% to 120% at the dawn of the Nadiyan unification. However, the Konstantinova administration's appointment of Evelina Maximovna at the helm of the NCB turned the momentum around as the central bank imposed radical austerity and a 13% surplus budget alongside waging a war on the black market and letting the Nadiyan Ruble loose.

Her radical reforms of Nadiya's financial world coupled with the defacto subjugation of the central government's finances to the NCB, it allowed for debt to collapse quickly by going from 120% to an amazing 30% in the span of 13 years, an amazing feat by financial standards. With Nadiya's debt settled and the financial world alive again, the NCB loosened its leash slightly and allowed for the succeeding Thaller administration to to begin spending money more freely and approve more economic ventures.

This honeymoon came to a crash when the KW erupted and Nadiya had to once again adopt a deep deficit on top of the already existing military measures that caused the economy to retract by 7% and debt to go from 41% pre war back to 70%. But shortly after, the NCB took over the confederal budget and began paying off debt until it 20%. Now with the war in New Verham still raging and the central government's funding of the Nadiyan Red Cross still ongoing, there can only be predictions on how this will impact the Nadiyan debt and government spending in general.

As part of a empire-wide push for greater militarization, the Svetovit Corporation for Peace has announced the start of production for the newly unveiled high-tech aircraft the NC-99 following the inauguration of 5 new military complexes. 

The manufacturing of the NC-99 marks a start shift in Nadiya's defense policy, which has historically been to maintain the country as a disarmed nation through the use of diplomacy to guarantee that nobody would attack the isles, but the development and production of an aggressive offensive-focused high-tech military jet shows the Confederation has abandoned defense in favor of offense.

The SCP announced that the NC-99 units will be built and assembled in the newly inaugurated Stribog complex, with its location kept confidential by both the SCP and the NCF, but the corporation did state that production unit had most of its primary parts hidden inside of a mountain to ensure that the assembly line doesn't get annihilated in the case of wars.

In addition to that, the SCP announced that they began development of warships, armored vehicles, and other aircrafts in accordance with the guidelines of the Nadiyan-Egelian Military Modernization Division of the NCF. The new designs are expected to begin their test periods either next year or the year after it, according to the Peace Corporation, with the begining of production scheduled for 74 or 75 depending on the tests and the necessary changes brought to them.

Furthermore, the Nadiyan Cooperative Forces inaugurated in addition to the Stribog complex, they inaugurated five more those being Svarog, Porenut, Pogoda, and Korab complexes aimed to streamline production of all times of military mobiles with Korab being a military shipyard that is planned to work alongside the future Kruh naval military complex. The military also showcased their brand-new development unit Mokosh located deep within the mountains of Nadiya where the engineers, scientists, and experts of the NEMMD will be able to research and develop more discreetly and safely weapons for the NCF and the Empire as a whole.

While the different factions of the New Verham civil war organize a conference to outline the future of the nation, the Nadiyan Red Cross Society organized mother's day celebrations across their 11 camps.

Officially the Day for the Celebration of Motherhood and Nurture, it's celebrated in Nadiya every year on the last Sunday of the month of May which coincidentally always falls one week before the final exams in schools. It roots go back to the First Utopianist era under Trigunia where the matriarchy first appeared and women took a central role in political life, and Mother's day was one of the new holidays that the Utopianist government implemented.

In that regard, the Nadiyan Red Cross decided to hold celebrations across their camps which mainly consisted of artistic activities, literature contests, and a ceremony thanking New Verhamese mothers for their help in raising the youth. The gifts themselves consisted of 10k Nadiyan Rubles, an authentic necklace made out of gold for each other alongside 2 pairs of earrings, alongside self-care products and free menstrual products for the mothers that didn't hit menopause yet.

Furthermore, the NRC released a statement declaring that they won't leave New Verham until the crisis is over and the citizens of the country can safely go back to their homes. This announcement was welcomed warmly by the locals as many still benefit from the weekly supply runs of the NRC across New Verham.

Ever since the end of the Kerisian War, the Nadiyan Confederation has been reshaping itself on corporate and neo liberal ideals when it comes to both governance and economic policies and the recent announcement from the Federation of Financial Experts is the final nail in the coffin of the old "socialized" Nadiya. 

The FFE founded and led by economics professor Stefan Falck, has announced their intention to host an international forum known as the Terran Economic Forum at the Brakavan city of Felzdorn. Already the federation has sent invites to more than 500 executives around Terra to come attend the forum.

The forum's stated mission is "improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industry agendas" and "promoting models developed by those in close collaboration with the Falck Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, highlighting social entrepreneurship as a key element to advance societies and address social problems." 

Alexandra Bacque, the co-chair of the FFE and president of the organization's Council for the Future of Mankind, announced that the Nadiyan Central Bank accepted to sponsor the first edition of the forum alongside other corporations such as the Harrington Company from Lodamun. She stated that the forum's location will be treated as neutral grounds in Nadiya and that anyone is free to attend and speak at the forum after proper background checks.

Finally, Falck unveiled the theme for the first forum and that being "Cooperation in a Fragmented World", his justification was: 

"Terra has experienced its highs and lows, nations slit each other's throat but quickly come back to the most universal of things. Generating profits and filling up their pockets." He says, "It's in humankind's nature to be greedy, seek prosperity, and make so much money you wipe your face with it. So this theme is more than fitting for a World that seems to be constantly at war."

While the FFE is still upgrading their headquarters to accommodate for the up coming summit. The organization has already began launching a massive advertisement campaign thanks to the recent waves of organizations sponsoring the event. 

TEF founder and president, Stefan Falck revealed that the organization's has launched a widespread ad campaign that targets TVs, newspapers, radio channels, websites, and even social media in the aim of bringing attention to the event and letting both corporate and government executives know about the forum so that they can more easily talk about the endless prosperity humankind deserves.

As for the sponsors, Alexandra Bacque revealed that alongside the Nadiyan Central Bank and the Harrington Company, the Luthorian empire alongside Mordusia announced that Hexlon Imperial and Humperdinck Enterprises will sponsore the TEF too, Egelion companies also announced their intention to sponsor the event while the forum's administration is still handling the paperwork for the companies wishing to join the TEF and the security clearances for the import guests and speakers that will be attending.

Furthermore, Stefan Flack emphasized that "anyone be them opposed to our ideals or alligned with them is welcome to attend the Economic Forum and share with us their opinion, suggestions, and even concerns even if it means insulting the Forum."

In an unprecedented move, the Svetovit Corporation for Peace unveiled their designs for the brand-new Maria-class frigates developed with the help of Egelion during a big naval exercise near the recently seized and repurposed Vanukean naval base that used to be owned by the Jelbic Empire.

The naval exercises held by the Nadiyan Cooperative Navy south of Brakav included a testing of capabilities for the newly refurbished warships of the NCN alongside the previously mentioned new Maria-class frigates that made a spectacular entrance into the exercises.

The Maria-Class, named after the first Tsarina of Nadiya Maria, are part of the SCP's current lines of designs based on the Trigunian templates such as the NC-99 and EC-99 that begun production with units of the NC-99 already being part of the Nadiyan air force.

The new frigates are capable to execute long-range strikes, conduct anti-submarine warfare and to carry out escort missions alongside being able to carry ICBM or hypersonic missiles depending on the use for them on front. 

Furthermore, the SCP announced that they will showcase their new tank designs coupled with a reveal of their newly developed guns that are expected to be used to fill up the reserves of both the NCF and Egelion's forces as more and more new designs are unveiled to the public.
