Jette Marissen on her vacation

In a comforting change of pace, the Reichskanzlerin Jette Marissen is currently busy to prospect locations for the expansion seeking tourism and hotel industry. As the diplomatic situation in Dovani does not seem to turn for the better any time soon, Narikaton and Darnussia is forced to look another way. As it turns out, the Kingdom of Egelion is currently busy promoting their nation to attract said business. Better fitting coincidences rarely happen which leads Chancellor Marissen to her own vacation in Egelion where she is also out scouting and networking. Especially the hotel titans Darnussisch-Deluxe and “Thaller Hotel & Casino” are seeking to invest and establish their own locations there to offer new experiences to the high society of the Bannerhafen regime which is currently oversatiated with the boring options which have been available for multiple decades. While the diplomacy of this move has not been commented yet by any official departments or administrators, especially in regards to future relations between the Reíno De Egelion and the Triad Republics of Narikaton, Darnussia and Himmelshtern, the economic impulse it is supposed to set has painted a bright smile on the faces of the hungry capitalist class of our nation. Political pundits stated that one should not overestimate this move to be anything else than accommodating the economic elite of the Triad. ‘This is not a foreign policy statement or impulse, the government is not changing its outlook, we’re still looking inwards.’ Time will tell if a deal can be arranged, for now it seems that the preparations are still on.

Bannerhafen set to see Haldor again
April 5611

After relatively stable but quiet years between Haldor and Bannerhafen, the latter still under the Leadership of Jette Marissen, decided to accept the invitation to a regional conference regarding matters of security as well as the continental economy. Ever since the Metz-Leonid Crisis, Narikaton and Darnussia and it's successor state the Triad Republics have been left with cleaning up after the now exiled Theodora Lackmann and the former Jelbic Emperor Wrntukai the second. Since the geopolitical aligntment of Bannerhafen and many of its foreign policy responsibilites have now been separated from Yishelem, the central government of the now enlargened state is still owing its people a new security regime. Many, especially among the ranks of the "Third-Camp" of the Triad push for a strengthened continental security agreement, some even threw around the word 'framework.' Pundits explain that this camp is largely consisting of Dundorf-national politicians and some Thallerists not loyal to Lackmann or the politically marginalized Orderfaction. In any case; Jette Marissen is signaling green light for a pan-dundorfian dominated Artanian security guarantee including Luthorian assistance.

Ending an Era: Triad marches into capitulating Yishelem
October 5611

The now long-serving caretaker Head of government, even using a now outdated title, Reichskanzlerin Jette Marissen has announced in what she called her last press conference that on this day, the forces of Narikaton and Darnussia have put the remaining territory of what formerly was known as Beiteynu under their control. The first division of soldiers have entered Yishelem, where the regime led by Maria Kadiyot has surrendered itself. According to the Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Triad Republics of Narikaton, Darnussia and Himmelshtern, Kadiyot has been transferred to a high-security prison at an undisclosed location.

Currently the diplomatic corp is negotiating the details of the new order of where once stood Beiteynu. According to insider sources, the plans for now outline the existence of a very loose supranational organization tasked with the maintenance of infrastructure in the Nisrads territory, financed by a certain percentage donated by every participating former part of the Moledet Medinat.

“But the finalized status of what will replace the authority in the shared Nisrad Territory will be reported on by my Successor.”

With this sentence Marissen officially ended her caretaker role and designated the VVP-chairman Graf Buchu as her successor. Well technically he is not going to be her successor but rather the progenitor or reviver of the Presidential role in Narikaton and Darnussia, once again uniting Head of Government as well as the Head of State in a directly elected position. The Chancellory has died together with the notion of what once was considered Beiteynu, once and for it is now done.

Swiftly changing the subject again, Marissen continued on about the situation in north Majatra. For the time being, the Triad is continuing to maintain order as well as basic state functions in the Territory of Yishelem. “We want to speedily establish a civil government appointed by the yeudis themselves down there.” Said Marissen. Pundits see the move as expected but have underestimated the role Narikaton & Darnussia was going to have initially. Now it seems like Bannerhafen is going to enforce its will on the entire region with no resistance to speak of, any arrests of the criminals in the Kadiyot cabinet not yet made are surely soon to be fulfilled. Many are anxious on what this new era is going to bring.

Some already expect the trouble to continue as what brews in Dovani is not looking good for Narikaton & Darnussia and the rising new political establishment has mostly made avances to moderate isolationism.

Buchu during negotiations

The recently empowered Graf Buchu (VVP) who has taken on the reinstated office of President of the Triad Republics has been at work with putting the Beiteynese dissolution behind the world. After long years of struggle, political tensions and the inevitable hunt for the criminals responsible for the tragedy in Xsampa, Bannerhafen has announced the end of this seemingly endless limbo. According to the officials from the presidential chancellory, the measures going into effect are a mixture of demands from Bannerhafen as well as the results of a conference between the independent Nisrads. These agreements have been officialized by putting them in the so called “Pillar agreement” which officially establishes the Amudim. This organization is tasked with keeping up infrastructure and is going to take over certain security tasks. “As you might understand, the financing of these issues was a highly sensitive topic and as such we’ve managed to divide the financial responsibilities on the lines of ‘mass.’ It only seems fair that the larger Nisrads also pay more. Narikaton and Darnussia or rather it’s successor state is taking over the responsibilities for the former Nisrad of Himmelshtern.” Were the words of President Buchu. Regarding the organizational and political structure of the Amudim, there were only broad outlines, it seems to be meritocraticly organized with being largely independent from the ideological ongoings in its member-states. It is going to be headed by a Chairman which offers another surprise. The first chairman is going to be Richard Geilberg, the long-time secretary of Himmelshtern. He said that his political ambitions at home have been fulfilled and he led Himmelshtern were he wanted to see it, as part of strong nation like the Triad. Considering his importance in the aftermath of the dissolution of the Homeland State, he gathered a good reputation among his peers in the other independent Nisrads and as such was a good candidate for the largely administrative job. The succession of his position in the Triad is going to be decided by the ever-nearing elections which already look like a very interesting race again.

In the same announcement the new government in Bannerhafen wanted to ‘draw a line’ with the focus on Beiteynu. “There are issues we have to deal with at home now.” This statement clearly is aimed at the imminent budgetary crisis and the need for political restructure because the old institutions of the Dual Republic and the Dual Monarchy are failing the now very different nation. Political movements from all over the spectrum are set to win in municipal, regional and national level, the VVP is threatened in its seat of power they’ve always taken for granted and there are a lot of other problems they will have to face in the coming years. Social Issues that have been forgotten since the days of Clenonberg and the economic consequences of a Neset in need of stability. Buchu has his work cut out for him, but is he going to succeed?

September 5614 Elections see weakened Status Quo
October 5614

Buchu charmingly waving on his way to negotiations

What political analysts expected and continously prognosed throughout the last two years of very limited initiative from the governing VVP-DRP coalition has come true. Buchu has been penalized with a very weak slim margin over his opponent from his junior coalition partner. While he remains in office and now has successfully overcome the challenge of contesting his first election, a new alliance of third-parties apart from the traditional large parties has gotten a lot of seats in parliament eating away at the now very slim two seat majority the governing coalition holds in the Senate; meaning that in the worst case, they might lose a census in parliament due to disease or other uncontrollable circumstances. Nontheless the agenda on which the VVP ran which is 'stability and wisedom through crisis' seemed to at least hold together their core electorate of hosian-democrats and conservative libertarians which still account for the biggest demographic in the nation. Many were looking excitedly on the election behaviour of the newest member republic of the Nation which is the Republic of Himmelshtern. In first place came the local VVP offshoot which is named "Yeudische Volkspartei" with 33% of the vote (YVP; Luth. Yeudi People's Party) closely followed by a party of similar profile named the Yeudi Citizen Party (Yeudische Bürgerpartei/Yeudi Burgerpartij) which has advocated for a more clearly defined place for Himmelshtern and autonomy. In third place lies the Social Democratic Party of the Triad which is a strong performance in a territory they did not expect; which also ties to their overperformance on the national level, they've made gains by leading the new alliance of third-parties simply called "Reform Movement Triad." While they have to recover from Lackmann era persecution of left-wing politics, pundits see them rising even further in the polls after some time of party-structure establishing. There is another odd-one out to mention in the Himmelshtern territory which is the very radical far-right Front of the Homeland (Thuisstaatsfront/Front des Heimatstaates). It advocates for anti-corporate corruption and the establishment of a new Beiteynu with the 'real sons and daughters of Elior' at the helm; they've been cryptic on what that is supposed to mean and according to rumors in the Amudim territories, they've connections to criminal elements of the Triad. The Democratic Republicans seem on the path of implosion in favor of Social Democratic Politics and the Orderfaction is maintaing a disheartening ten percent of the vote having been painted as 'Lackmann-Lackeys' by VVP activists.

From what we can see now, it seems that the grand coalition of orange-blue will continue to steer the Triad for another five years, aiming to fulfill their promises of stable and continous restructuring of the state with their main point of attention being the budget, a topic that oddly enough seems like unbearably contested within the uneasy alliance of the two traditional rivals. The VVP wants to cut public welfare programs especially pensions which have blown up by prior OF government 'gifts to veterans' and their inability to deal with bloat from Clenonberg social policy. On the other end the DRP wants to mothball the huge navy of the Triad and disconnect the destiny of the Triad from its politically over-relevant arms-sector.

Central government launches investigation into Clenonberg Disappearance
August 5615

With the dust settling on the birth of the Triad, the newly established and empowered institutions of this nation have started to maintain day-to-day protocol and have begun their legally defined work. One of these institutions is the Triad State Attorney Office (TSAO), one of the highest legal officers in the country, they're mostly tasked with dealing with with the persecution of high-level criminal targets as well as political crimes. In a surprising initial move the team, mostly influenced by DRP Justice cabinet minister Frank Walter Frotzelfest, has requested the SASa, the intelligence service using all political capital to avoid reorganization, to give all files regarding the disappearance of Clenonberg to the TSAO. According to official sources the agency has decided to fight this order in all possible legal ways as these files alledgedly threaten national security. Insiders from the intelligence community have told us that this is apparently a rabbit-hole and that mysterious things have happened to those that start looking intently at the leads. This new government has now greelit this action as part of their vision to start with a clean-slate, but for the VVP it seems like the sins of the forefathers could harm them more than they're eager to admit.

Grand Coalition barely finishes Budget Compromise
May 5617

Extraordinary Budget Consultation in the Senate

After a uncharacteristcly long time for the VVP and DRP to form their government the two rivals also continued their bickering when it was time for the government to propose a budget allocation bill in the Senate. In the first draft the VVP wanted to slash all social-welfare programs by at least 10% with the harshest cuts in the pension system by around 20% including all by-products and special regulations for sector-dependent options such as heavy-industry and the likes. This caused an outrage in the cabinet which almost got so bad that the Minister of Instrastructure from the DRP threatened his resignation. His project to invest by building nationalized major highways has been killed by the first draft. The coalitionary woes even went as far as the DRP looking outward for a majority for their prestige projects which according to pollsters has not earned them any favorable points with the electorate who apparently were not willing to reward treachery within the government.  Anyways after months of back and forth the two bickering partners have managed to finalize a compromise which sees most of the cuts reduced, which was mostly possible due to the factor that the Bannerhafen-inserted Amudim system in former Beiteynu kicked off and has started its finance system which means that the bloated naval expense that the Triad had to deal with for the past years is no longer that big of a problem, the expenses in this regard now only accumulate to a fraction of what the total cost had been priorly. This means that the inheritance of Himmelshtern is now a net-benefit for the economy, even Dundorfnational politicians from the OF were willing to concede this fact. President Buchu resumeéd that the process was arduous but that the long debate was necessary to achieve 'the best for the Triad.'  While the administration has scored its first bitter needed victory, minor opposition parties and the larger SDP have formed a tightly-knit electoral alliance called "Große Reformpartei" which takes inspiration from an old-reformist force from the first ages of post-thallerist Narikaton and Darnussia. Leader of the GRP is the prominent social-democratic politician Erika Fein who is consistenly blasting the sitting president for his perceived inability to confront other issues other than the budget and who, at least according to Fein, misses the fact that the common people of the Triad Republics need 'a new deal' for the nation.

Triad Republics intervene via 3rd Point: Demands release of Xsampan Assets
August 5617

[Image: 841450dd-4722-47b8-90a7-36a8cfe25d1e.jpg]
3rd Point General Secretary Theobald Schluckspecht

In a surprising turn of events, what formerly was considered Beiteynu is continuing to generate controversy as recently a Xsampan commercial vessel was seized and its captain arrested. The responsible Nisrad claims that the Xsampan official was acting with hostile intent and was engaging in piracy. This event prompted the Triad Republics to intervene via it's own General Secretary of the 3rd Point federation, the highest office in the Trade Federation. According to Triad statements, there is no proof from Hofesh that the vessel had anything to do with pirate activity. "We are baffled by the abuse of Federation Institutions, heads WILL roll." said the General Secretary Schluckspecht when asked. Upon inquiry we found out that there actually were protocols activated to remove certain individuals connected to this case from their official positions. The Directorate for Foreign Affairs declined to answer our questions regarding their involvement or if there are talks going on with the rogue Nisrad but they did say that the Triad would put its own Trade Protection Fleet at the vicinty of the incident to ensure the free-flow of commercial maritime vessels and to engage in anti-piracy activity. Finally to finish with this debacle, the Presidential Chancellory has also comitted to launch an official investigation into the elements of Naval Command and the Amudim responsible for this erratic act.

Triad Republic's political situations shakes up as a second Era of Global Thallerism looms
January 5619

Liberal rally voicing their warnings on a return of Thallerism

The confirmation of high government officials, including President Buchu (VVP) and Foreign Minister Hendricus ten Bouwhuis (DRP), attending the ascension of a von Thaller on the Deltarian throne has shaken up the political landscape of the Triad Republics. Both extreme positive and negative reactions were perceivable throughout social media and traditional ones. Political expert of the editorial department of Bannerhafen Nachrichten Ulrich Geil-mann described it as a “all card on the table moment.” Apparently media outlets, industrialists and political parties now are in need to reveal their connection to the Thaller family and the industrial conglomerate. It appears that some are still cautious to voice their opinion especially the political parties. The VVP who are known to have strong ties to the corporate base of the Triad have not communicated anything past the officials attending the Ceremony. The presidential chancellory said upon inquiry that “this is a very usual practice, the government of a nation we are cordial with has invitied us and we see it as prudent to attend the ceremony to show our amicable attitude toward our Deltarian friends.” The Grand Reform Party politicians have been more critical of the move with smaller parties backing them up. The Orderfaction has been very vocal about this issue as they are public enemies of the Thaller family due to their support of a very specific branch of it. Head of the original branch of the family, Jan-Willem van Daller (Jan Willhelm von Thaller) announced their support for this decision in Deltaria and is going to attend with other family members. The concrete influence this is going to have on this years election is yet unclear, but many expect a shakeup of the current polling situation as the GRP is likely to lose and gain some voters as well as the VVP being called to reveal their position. Was there an era of crypto-Thallerism and is it over?

5619 Elections bring new era to Triad: Social Democracy Returns
March 5619

[Image: White-Minimalist-Economics-Headline-News...m-Post.png]

The general elections of 5619 see a fundamental change to the power dynamics in the senate of Narikaton, Darnussia and Himmelshtern, former President Buchu’s loss of said office. In his place the young and promising Klara Fein from the social-democratic Grand Reform Party won the office, marking the first time that the powerful Head of State position is in left of center hands.

Fein ran on a platform one can consider ‘classic’ for left-wing politicians. She advocates for a stalwart defense of the welfare state against conservative and libertarian attacks against it, aiming also to strengthen the position of Unions. At one of her campaign rallies she said “Now is the time, we have so much potential with the founding of this new and great nation. We are going to show the common – working – man of these three republics that there is a different vision and life possible, the are down-trodden and abused by years of negligence by our selfserving corporate entities. No longer shall you be beaten and exploited, for your labour is your own and without it there would be no wealth to steal from you. Long live the Triad! Long live the working man!” Along the same lines of rhetorics were the other speeches of her on the campaign trail. What some identified as her weaknesses was her reliance on a very diverse party which still needs to be lastingly united. Another point of contention she ws attacked with by her main opponent the VVP incumbent Buchu was her lack of experience on national level politics, her background is in Darnussia state level public administration. Nonetheless she has won the presidential bid but has to deal with challenges.

One of the challenges hails from the results of the senatorial election which sees the GRP with amazing results for their first contested election but only with a relative majority meaning that a stable cabinet for the President needs coalition partners, this situation is amplified by the fact that the political representation in the Senate is more diverse than ever with two new parties entering parliament.

What we can see now - is that the most likely variant for the formation of a coalition is another Grand Coalition but instead of the DRP the GRP is the left-wing partner in the partnership. This would be strategically unwise considering that large chunks of the GRP electorate have cast their vote deliberately against the VVP this would certainly also provoke more issues especially since nobody knows how the internal politics of the conservatives are gonna change after this electoral loss. Other opportunities open up if the GRP is ready to form a government with more than one partner, negotiations with the DRP and the smaller centrist YBP as well as the environmentalist A600 would suffice for a majority in the Senate.  The Third option would be to open up to the newest political camp in the Triad, the Thallerists, Fein could either invite one or two of them to negotiations. Both a red (socialist) and a grey (conservative) Thallerist party have earned a larger than anticipated amount of seats in the Senate tieing in with a global trend toward a revival, this option is a wildcard since the GRP had a tendency of being sceptical toward the TKP and FAUST but Fein herself has declined to comment on this development. In any case, all variants offer benefits but also demand a lot of compromise.

Now onto a brief overview of the results for the other contestants. Obviously the VVP has to deal with major losses in the Senate plus the loss of the presidency to the GRP, but they still remain the second largest party with a large lead to the Thallerist Conservative Party in third place. Buchu’s political career seems over and new personel does not appear out of thin air, we expect the VVP be more stagnant for the immediate future. Another loser is the junior Partner of the pre-election government, the DRP has basically lost all left of center voters to the GRP and only a hardened centrist core of the party remains, they’ve not commented on the possibility of joining a government yet. The smaller parties have more or less maintained their status but have seen marginal increases in voter share. Finally one of the two big winners of this election apart of the GRP is the social-dundorfian nationalist FAUST party which advocates for a different form of government and sweeping changes to the economic system of the Nation, a fact that they share with the winning party. Their older sister-party the Thallerist Conservative Party which has continuously existed for years now, has once again managed to enter parliament with 15% of the electorate supporting their ticket, this makes them the third largest party, they are described as conservative and hosian-distributionist in economic affairs making them economically center-right.

In any case, the battle has been fought, the campaigning is over, lets see what the negotiations bring, we – certainly -  are excited.
