Buchu during negotiations
The recently empowered Graf Buchu (VVP) who has taken on the reinstated office of President of the Triad Republics has been at work with putting the Beiteynese dissolution behind the world. After long years of struggle, political tensions and the inevitable hunt for the criminals responsible for the tragedy in Xsampa, Bannerhafen has announced the end of this seemingly endless limbo. According to the officials from the presidential chancellory, the measures going into effect are a mixture of demands from Bannerhafen as well as the results of a conference between the independent Nisrads. These agreements have been officialized by putting them in the so called “Pillar agreement” which officially establishes the Amudim. This organization is tasked with keeping up infrastructure and is going to take over certain security tasks. “As you might understand, the financing of these issues was a highly sensitive topic and as such we’ve managed to divide the financial responsibilities on the lines of ‘mass.’ It only seems fair that the larger Nisrads also pay more. Narikaton and Darnussia or rather it’s successor state is taking over the responsibilities for the former Nisrad of Himmelshtern.” Were the words of President Buchu. Regarding the organizational and political structure of the Amudim, there were only broad outlines, it seems to be meritocraticly organized with being largely independent from the ideological ongoings in its member-states. It is going to be headed by a Chairman which offers another surprise. The first chairman is going to be Richard Geilberg, the long-time secretary of Himmelshtern. He said that his political ambitions at home have been fulfilled and he led Himmelshtern were he wanted to see it, as part of strong nation like the Triad. Considering his importance in the aftermath of the dissolution of the Homeland State, he gathered a good reputation among his peers in the other independent Nisrads and as such was a good candidate for the largely administrative job. The succession of his position in the Triad is going to be decided by the ever-nearing elections which already look like a very interesting race again.
In the same announcement the new government in Bannerhafen wanted to ‘draw a line’ with the focus on Beiteynu. “There are issues we have to deal with at home now.” This statement clearly is aimed at the imminent budgetary crisis and the need for political restructure because the old institutions of the Dual Republic and the Dual Monarchy are failing the now very different nation. Political movements from all over the spectrum are set to win in municipal, regional and national level, the VVP is threatened in its seat of power they’ve always taken for granted and there are a lot of other problems they will have to face in the coming years. Social Issues that have been forgotten since the days of Clenonberg and the economic consequences of a Neset in need of stability. Buchu has his work cut out for him, but is he going to succeed?
