State of Emergency declared, Martial Law implemented, first military bodies in disobedience

After months of tensions over protests following the death of young student Robert Obrzut, the detonation of the explosive at the Sejm in Valruzia has resulted in the arrest of five Valruzian citizens, including a member of the national parliament, who have been sentenced to death. With the sentencing to be carried out tonight, the people is not ceasing the pressure in the streets, and in anticipation of what may happen, the government has decreed martial law throughout the country, with a curfew that is not expected to be respected by the thousands and thousands of citizens who have been protesting for months in the streets in every corner of the country.

The explosion of the Sejm, which resulted in the partial destruction of the building that is the seat of the national parliament and the death of 278 of the 346 members who were inside at the time, only increased the violence with which the forces of law and order charged against the demonstrators in the streets, as well as drastically increasing the number of extrajudicial arrests throughout Valruzia, with thousands of families seeing their members arrested overnight without any pending judicial process.

Following the removal of the bodies from the ruins of the national parliament, the government declared any sympathizers of the attack as “enemies of the nation” and vowed to crack down on all those who showed any sympathy for such “vile acts”.

"The terrible attack on the seat of our national sovereignty, the voice of our great leader Szczepan Morawski, which has resulted in the deaths of over 200 of our best compatriots, who worked hard every day to make our nation the greatest on the planet, will not go unpunished. All citizens must know that anyone who supports this vile act must be treated as an enemy of this great nation, and they will suffer as such. This government will not hesitate to catch the perpetrators of this crime, and when it does, we will have the tools at our disposal to make them repent of their actions. They will have nowhere to hide and nowhere to run, and it is only a matter of time before they fall into our hands and suffer the full weight of the law for their crimes."

However, the threats had no effect on the protesters, who have continued to exert pressure on the institutions of Valruzia to bring about the fall of the Morawski regime.


Now, the declaration of the State of Emergency and martial law has led the army to bring tanks out onto the streets, and to patrol at all hours numerous areas of the big cities dispersing any group that they consider "a threat to security and coexistence."

However, the national association of firefighters has issued a statement in which they reject these measures, criticize the Morawski regime and announce an indefinite strike of services that are requested by the different municipalities and other authorities of the country, putting more pressure on the rest of the security forces of the State to deal with the different fires that the protesters cause throughout the country.

In addition, in the city of Brzansk, the second largest in the country and a major Seleyan science, research, and education hub with several universities and institutes, producing approximately 7% of the Valruzian GDP, the military detachment based there has declared itself in rebellion, claiming that it will not tolerate for one more minute "the oppression of the citizens they swore to defend and for whom they swore to die" and has placed armoured vehicles at all entrances to the city. The government of Prime Minister Strzelczyk and the Minister for National Defence, Mirosław Pala, have moved to condemn Major Iwan Gabris, head of the detachment in the city, to a military court to decide his fate, probably the death penalty as well. The commander's response was not long in coming and has already spread through social networks that have circumnavigated the ban imposed by the government:

"Przyjdź i weź", or in Luthorian "come and take it", in reference to the city. Posters have already been seen both in Brzansk and in the capital, Nowogard, and in other parts of the country with this slogan, and numerous protesters wear T-shirts with this phrase.
