Amudim City-states in political coma; Ossel demands YVP be allowed to contest elections in Tel Bira

The political drama unfolding in what formerly was Beiteynu and now is the loose federation of small city-states called Amudim never seems to stop. The instable situation has been explained by the political cadre of the city-states never recovering or expanding on the foundational state-organization mandated by Bannerhafen decades ago. The political institutions of these new “nations” have never been developed nor have ressources been allocated to really express a sense of sovereignty. In addition to these homebrewed problems, the Triad has increasingly started to assert its factual control over the territory. While the predecessor to Ossel have more or less ignored rumblings in Amudim, the President – a yeudi herself -  stands in stark contrast. After successfully annexing more land from the dissolved city-state of Yishelem, she aims to increase the direct political power of her party in the region by pressing the city-states to allow the VVP offshoot “Yeudische Volkspartei” to contest elections in Tel Bira. This would mean that Bannerhafen would have hierarchicaly controlable personell down in the city-states which would in theory – again – increase the dependency the largely confused political elite has on the Narik-Darnussian regime. Diplomats in Jorgen have tried to soften the attitude of the Directorate of Majatra by offering other concessions but met deaf ears. It stands to reason that sooner rather than later Bannerhafen intends to assert direct control over the Neset.
