Briefing on administrative reforms of the World Congress

Whale Island, Zone 3 - During a daily briefing, the COO and Assistant General-Secretary from the OAA of the World Congress offered an update on the progress of discussions in the Bettencourt Conference with members of the Security Council and observer states.

On the General Assembly, it seems we are looking at a motion-centric reform. It will continue to welcome anyone from both the public and private domains - including representatives from states not elected to the Security Council.

Those seeking to garner international support will be able to initiate sessions and introduce motions for debate and voting. Once a motion reaches a minimum of 5 votes from other participants in the sessions, the motion maker can terminate the voting and the debate.

If the motion has a majority in favour, the motion maker can then introduce it to the Security Council.

In the meantime, Whale Island will assist with publicity on the passed motion.

We hope to gauge final positions; afterwards we will introduce the policy to the General Assembly for an extra round of debate.

Our goal is to make sure we have popular support in implementing these changes.

Thus far these reforms on amplifying the General Assembly's platform and providing a purpose to its broad scope via a mechanism of motions has received a broad support from Ikradon, Dundorf, Lourenne and Kalistan (and Trigunia).

With the 95th Security Council getting ready to kickstart its term, the OAA looks to Beiteynu and Kanjor for a statement on their positions.

Remaining observer states in the conference include Kundrati and Narikaton and Darnussia; neither of which have voiced any concerns.

All in all, we except to move forward with the new motion-centric policy for the General Assembly, should no strong objection be voiced.

OAA upgrades mainframe behind Terran Times

The Office of Administrative Affairs of the World Congress released a short statement earlier this morning informing journalists of the Foreign Press Association that the engineering teams at Terran Times had upgraded its mainframe yesterday night with a major, backwards incompatible version.

The teams were hard at work over the weekend attempting to tackle "unresolved network and infrastructure issues" after publishers across the world had reported significant network shortages on global feeds a couple of weeks ago.

The Director of the Terran Times informed a couple of journalists from Kalistan and Jelbe on the technical aspects of the upgrade. A copywriting team from Kalistan was involved in performing quality assurance tests. A Jelbic lead engineer helped resolve a plethora of architectural blockers.

"We will continue to closely monitor", he concluded.

OAA eyes creation of global economic forum with newly appointed Chief Financial Officer for the World Congress

The recent shake-up of international markets stemming from the volatility observed with the LFR in recent years, has prompted several scholars from around the world (including but not limited to Mordusia, Beiteynu and Kalistan - especially as the latter has engaged domestically in discussions revolving around Kalistan's recognition of and entry into the World Congress) to engage in multilateral discussions across a variety of mediums and vehicles around global economics and the state of GDP, GDP per capita and commercial and trade related metrics.

The Chief Operating Officer of the Office of Administrative Affairs made a short statement yesterday morning with regards to the recent appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer for the World Congress, remarking upon "the continuation of influential publications", making references to the Vandam World Economic Report from Lourenne and the Neset Index pertaining to the Yeudi Diaspora.

A news memo also mentioned interest from Kafuristan and Dorvik, especially in defence related economics and procurement with editors representing the Gath Defense Collective, which has sprung up in global circulation in recent years.

T3 teams will continue to focus on v4

Zone 1, Whale Island - A joint communique issued by the Office of Administrative Affairs of the World Congress and the Office of the Director of the Terran Times confirmed that product and engineering teams have continued work on the recently launched v4 of T3's framework, following the website's upgrade to accommodate for the new system upgrades that have taken place over the last few decades.

Publishers and distributors from Lodamun - notorious for their long-read contextual style of journalism - have commented positively on the developments, especially in regards to the special display of certain content focusing more on visuals.

The teams at T3 are looking to tackle a few bugs, here and there, including improvements for mobile devices, seeing that services like ArtSat spearheaded by Kundrati from Artania have generally increased broadband access to citizens worldwide.

Although armed conflict seems to have subsided, the Office of Administrative Affairs continues to recognise the inherent dangers of travel and trade in and close to Kundrati and Istalia.

Relating to the latter, the breakout of armed conflict in Solentia seems to be further contributing to recent instability in the region, directly impacting Kalopia, Kafuristan, Istalia and potentially Badara.

The breakout of war between Beiteynu and Xsampa poses inherent dangers to travel and trade in North Vascania, Kurageri, Liore, Istapali and Nsanlosa. Dovanian states from the North relying on the Sovereign Sea for maritime trade are also impacted.

We recognise an inherent danger that the war may spill over to further regions in the Red Bass Ocean and the Vascanian Sea.

Here at Whale Island and the Office of Administrative Affairs of the World Congress, we have long believed that the preservation of works from the numerous cultures, peoples and nations of Terra is of the outmost importance for our collective future.

We have delved in such endeavours in the not so distant past with fine examples, such as the Jacobean Cildanian Gallery, the Kalopian Proceus Vault and the Sekowan Wu Library on Zone 3.

Furthermore, entities such as the Bureau of the Terran Olympic Association and the Beiteynuese Diaspora Center have operated under the mandate of connecting the world's past with its present and future initiatives.

The new James Z. Library is set to include the world's cartography, cultural and other statistics, direct access to artefacts and other works including but not limited to the aforementioned entities, as well as a special exhibit display we will be calling "The Continuum".

A continuum of the world's history; available both physically for passing diplomats and digitally for all citizens of Terra.
